I have a question. Do you all use headsets? Because I don't have one, so if you do, I can only hear you and reply in the chat. Also if you do, do you mute them during the race? It is quite annoying even if no one talks - you still hear breathing, wining wheels and so on. Last time I did not find where I can mute other players' mics. Is there a option and where?
OK that was more than one question, but still :)

Most of us have a headset but not all of us. It is not required (but it's very useful to me for the grid).
The bunch we are racing with can be quite funny so it's hard to mute everyone knowing there will be some good jokes flying around, although most won't just keep talking all the time.
Being able to shout a 'Sorry for that, my bad, hurry back in front of me!' is also quite nice.

I suggest we should be more careful and unmute ourselves only when needed.
Does this sound fair to everyone?

I was looking at buying a surround system instead of the tinny TV sound, but after looking at headsets you can spend a third of the cost and i prefer it. Sounds more like it does when wearing a helmet as well and of course the added bonus of a mic!

Go to Member List and click on the offending player and an option to 'Mute Audio' is available.

The official Sony PS3 headset is brilliant. It cost me around £70 at the time (about 2 years ago) but it's apparently a bit more expensive now.

EDIT: I'm not trying to make you buy a headset!!

Well I use a PC monitor that is mounted to my rig. Sound goes though the HDMI, into the monitor and then I plug my PC speakers or headphones into the monitor. Problem is that there is no mic. And good PS3 headsets cost too much for just a mic. Will check the mute option. Thanks!

Good chance I can't make it today. :( It's a holiday in the U.S. and my schedule is different this week. Definitely looking forward to the Dino next week. 👍

Question - I've done an oil change on the Hyundai. Will I need to throttle it back to stock or is it assumed we all do it?

Hello,

I'd like to join for this afternoon as well as future events if there's space available. Will send FR.

I got a 1:00.7, if I remember right but I'm really not a reference. I'm usually at the back of the pack.
That was an offline time, by the way. And I have no idea how much of a difference there is between online and offline, I haven't checked closely.

EDIT: add 1 sec to that time, by the looks of it...

I already have the PS3 for myself so I'm already opening my lobby. I'd like to try something, if some people are around early. I wanted to see if we can get a correct grid by using the 'Enter event' button only (in the right order obviously), instead of going on the track one by one. If that works, it would save time...

Tried to get in the but keep getting the "room is full" message, only shows 7/16 on the entry count... Maybe some other time.

Well done guys, and very good recruits, you're in for good, please come back!

looks like @jsjakesaid is a very consistent driver! :)
Otherwise looks like quite a mix up.
Not surprising with that car. :odd: Sorry I missed it (chores ) but it's probably for the best for everyone involved.

Actually, a good practice is to do it as soon as you buy your cars.
This ^^
That's exactly what I've been making it a habit to do.
What I do is when I go on a shopping spree (or even just buy one car), I get in it as soon as I buy it so it's at the top of the garage list. Then I go straight to the pit service, and change the oil on everything at the top I've just bought.
That way I don't have to be thinking about "did I change the oil?".

Great racing tonight, well done to Jake for the overall win.

Drandiiski, why didn't you wait after punting me off on lap two, last chicane at Apricot Hill? You had run wide before the entry, off track, and came back across the chicane as I was passing through it. You claimed to have read the Rule Book.
