I must say I'm dissapointed as well. But the show hasn't begun yet. So maybe.....just maybe we'll get some more info on GT5 before it's over.

*gasps* must have one of those! I've been missing clutch pedal.. it'll help drifting a lot when one could do a clutch kick! :D

Oh yes. Fully understood.

ou could if you were watching a HD trailer of it it's 12 times more detaile than GT4, I couldn't see it as 12 times as detialed, not specifically anyway, but noticable more detailed, sure. Though that's not the point of the demo, all the models and tracks are GT4 and TT models, both models built for PS2 games it was the quality of the textures and the resolution and lighting effects etc that had been implemented and improved that they were showing off could all be done in RT at 60fps in 1080p. The demo was simply to show a more interactive glimpse of what to expect from the next GT game, and as Kaz said, the next GT game will far surpass that demo.

The new Logitech wheel sounds interesting, but I wonder what the build quality of the pedals will be like. $300USD msrp is not that bad since the new Act Labs shifter is about $100USD. And hopefully they finally fixed the pedal problem that was in the original DFP. ;)

I just watched this at Gametrailers.com. I just do not see any huge improvement over GT4. The graphics and physics looked the same. There wasnt even dust on the rally track. Well there are more cars on the track and on the rally track but still. Nothing that impressed me at all. :indiff:
I guess I am still looking forward to Forza 2. :)

That's because it is GT4, in higher resolution, all they were displaying is that the next GT game iwll run in 1080p, will have more car's on track at once, and is definitely in development and will hopefully arrive within a year of the PS3's lauch. I hope GT5 desn't come out at the same timeas MGS4 like GT4 did with MGS3, I can't play both at the same time .

I definitevely need a new pair of pants.

(talking about the G25 wheel, obviously :))

Anyone has seen pics of the shifter/pedals yet?

Soooo glad this is just a prototype...I'll shoot Kaz if they including motorbikes in any future incarnation of GT >.o...and the rally part...4 cars on the track and no dust trails?...again...another reason I'm glad this just GT4 beefed up to show off PS3 and HD

Can you imagine the horror on peoples faces if they had found out that that was all they were going to get for GT5..... it doesnt pass in anyway as a next gen games graphics but its a start.....

Which leads me onto my big worry..... KY said that they would hope to get GT5 out SHORTLY AFTER the launch of PS3...... does this mean they are basically going to port GT4 into HD...... I bloody hope not!!!

I want that wheel, but I'll wait until I ear news on the next DFP, if that has a clutch and H gate, I'll take that instead (PS3 AND PC you see).

No, he clearly stated that was meerly a demo they knocked together for the show and that the enxt GT game will far surpass that demo. At the TGS last year he showed us a VGT video with a very high detal RX-7 and Evo IX at the start, he said during the TGS, that that RX7 and Evo were representative of what we'll see in the next GT game. In other words, the next GT game will blow you away graphically.

Anyway I'm a little dissapointed very little of new features and no new cars have been shown so far, just high res GT4 with more cars on track.
no new cars I just got through watching the video and I saw the Pescarolo C60 and the Team Oreca Audi R8 from Le mans 05. I'm surprised no one noticed.

I noticed, but I didn't think anything of it, I've seen them before in VGT vid's.

strange:indiff:, I didn't see them in Vision GT.

Carl.
OMG! I think live will agree with me that that wheel with GTR2 is going to be awesome!

Logitech has certainy surprised me!
Now, here's to hoping it can also work with GT4, and Hot Pursuit 2.:dopey:

Crap, it costs as much as six games, and half the price of the PS3! Never mind... maybe when IT hits $179...

I intend to get the 360 and Forza 2 with its force feedback wheel, and if I'm going to get the PS3 and a couple of games as well, I think I can live with the trusty DF Pro. It's served me well over the past year.
