It's funny seeing so much last-minute speculation on here. Some of the damage pics do look a bit.. odd.. as if the car's are made out of tin foil or something, but I'm with-holding judgement until the final game is out, cos there's clearly lots of different builds going around at different stages of development. Personally I'm just glad there will be physical damage which affects the handling, I use the 'bumper' cam view anyways so it's only really important how the car feels to drive should I have a wee accident. Personally I hope that won't be very often anyways. I'm more concerned that there really will be realistic and changeable wet conditions over that, and that Spa Francorchamps wil be in it as a track.

As for DLC, there's no reason tracks won't be included in this, they're not that big a download at all, plus imagine how much longevity it will bring to an already pretty packed out game. Hopefully PD will be working tirelessly to keep bringing us a new track every 2/3 months, or some kind of timescale like that. I for one cannot wait!

You guys kidding? They already release new demo every month. On every show. What takes more time - to present GT on show, with Kaz himself on it or just put one of the demos on PSN?
Who says they would use those demos as THE definitive demo of GT5? Why would Sony agree to publish it if many features are stil unveiled? So that people could keep complaining about missing things? It would be a shame...for PD, for Sony and for us.

A proper PSN demo would at leats have full damage, day/night cycles and weather...

"RACECAR
Because those are all games with only race cars. Why can't people get that?"

Because people like to complain:ouch:.

Since when is making observations and questioning issues is complaining? Positive aspects of any given issue being discussed are NOT detracted by constructive criticism of any given flaws.

And NO, I don't buy the argument of other games being race cars, Grid and NFS Shift's standard cars, common or exotic did have damage, EXTENSIVE damage.

Who said that they not show such demo on any show later? And how do you want to sell a big game and not having a demo of it?Don't say me that "GT5 is another story".
Ether way - the final build will be "frozen" anything between one month to two weeks before release - they will have a time for that important (for game-selling) thing.

Now alucard0712, I've already told you that PD does not really exist. There is no eternal Yamauchi man or his magical companion, Translator-san.

I don't understand, sorry...(can't remember what you talking about)

You forget that PSN demos need to be tested for bugs on every single PS3 model out there, then rated in every region.

Sorry :), I was just having a bit of fun and didn't realize that English was not your first language. You see, your post at https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=3997846#post3997775 sounds like an English language letter to Santa Claus. ;)

There's a reasonable explanation for this. People are pushing the damage system to the limit on purpose...that's why all the shots here resemble a mashed-up car.

In-game, when you are in race condition, I expect people will concentrate on getting to 1st place rather than seeing if the front wing smashes. In a race it'll look fine.

...And this done for about all games for ages...

Every demo is tested for bugs, but we've seen many of it in Forza 3 demo for example.(and then all start to say: "it's only demo")
Demo is demo. All knows it.Anyway that's only one buggy GT5 build (with disappearing textures) only one from many GT5 demos - I mean quality of those demos are enough to present them at time.

He's talking about different bugs. Specifically those that cause a game to crash and could potentially corrupt a users hard drive. If that happens at a game show it doesn't really matter. If it happens to a user at home then that's a big problem.

question:

In the Netherlands we have some retailers offering the Signature edition, but as far as i know we don't get the SLS competition, why do we get the signature edition then?
Spending €100,- on a car model, a keychain and a magazine is rather sad if you ask me...

First - It's PD,PS3,Japan.
GT is not Forza.GT is most "bug free" game ever.
Second - I can pretend that if it crashed on stage demo - it's a big problem too - so its really not a big difference here.

And tell me how it can crash that way anyway?
Again - TTDemo has bugs too, but we all played it.

I think you exaggerate this problem very much.

Oh? Is that why a huge chunk of the Nurb just disappears right in front of you in the demo units in Best Buy?

Because cars in Grid and Shift are race cars, not production cars. Crashing is a part of racing so racing companies and manufacturers are fine with showing race cars in massive crashes with extensive damage.

Production cars, on the other hand, are a different story, I made a post in the Damage Thread, go read it.

Oh the irony...

Andddd, were still about 60 days away. 1440 hours.

I think what Alucard means is there is no severely debilitating bugs , with the excepttion of the Driving MIssion\100% GT4 bug they all pretty harmless.

Well it will be the same to everyone else who did enter that SLS competition and lost I guess, it's just an extra offered to some nations apparantly.
If you think it's too expensive for what you're getting without the possibility of winning a real SLS the package as it is without that chance probably just doesn't seem good value to you.
Which is what I reckon too ( even with that competition ) so I'll be more than happy with the Standard version.:)

Plus a book, 11 DLC cars and a wallet. All in a lovely case.

Still a stupid amount of money.
