When running in bonnet/hood/chase view, how do you keep track of whats happening behind you. When I pull it up, there are no mirrors. The reason I changed from cockpit to bumper is that I wanted that big fat mirror.

Or maybe you guys are so fast so what happens behind you is a none issue.

I have a habit of always looking behind me after every corner, even if I know no one is there. So I'm always quite aware of what's happening and who is around me.

The speed suggested is 45 mph according to my suggestion. So that is the speed to maintain. But that is not going to ba a practical issue as long as all drivers keep to the rules. 👍

I removed mine and cranky456s name from the list as we are going to have to pull out of season. we have internet problems and dont want to ruin it for you guys. I also just got DFGT and want to get used to that never used a wheel before :). Any way good luck for the rest of the season guys.

That sucks. Good luck with your wheel, it takes a long time to get used to but it's totally worth it.

I know its hard to get used i only ever used one once before for ps2. But this force feedback great. And good luck in your races. :)

i like the hood view as it doesnt move when you break (LOL, makes me feel sick), plus you got just a bit more view to the side, too see cars (only slightly).

Yes its annoying not to have a rear view mirror but just a flick to look behind isnt that hard 👍

I may join one of the practice things see how its goes.
 
It's back to NAT2 and I don't know why. Either UPnP started working or forwarding ports worked this time.

Make sure that you don't use a wireless connection. Use an ethernet cable straight into your PS3 and see if it gets better. 👍

I have always used an ethernet cable.

I guess these kind of things are expected when it [PS3] can't even automatically adjust for DST...
 
Linksys routers?


If so they are really problematic. I had to work mine over pretty good to get the solid state connection I have. Been problem free for about a year. Fought a router I thought was bad, replaced same issue. Should of went Belkin or Netgear. :( I did the port forwarding DMZ jazz, I dont recall what exactly worked, but its open pipe.


Anyone got info on the 24hr time change setting for this weeks races? Like to run a mock race myself in practice. So really would ideal to have this setting.
 
Thomson TG784. I have hated it since day one.

The UI is terrible and slow. It's extremely slow with my iPhone 4 and iPad, but no issues with iPhone 3G and our computers.

Unfortunately, we are required to use it because we have Internet, IPTV and VoIP through our ISP (Telia).
 
I've heard a lot of bad things about TELIA (Sweedish phone and internet supplyer)
 
Hey lads, good talk about the rolling start. I'll come up with something final once i get home. Although i wanna stress that i'll keep it as simple as i possibly can. The penalty system will also be finalized. Official grid will be announced on wednesday. If you think you cant make the race time on friday, speak now or forever hold your peace.

EDIT: Time and Weather will be dynamic on raceday.
 
I would just like to add the ayrton_senna is waiting for a new router which should be coming this week so hopefully he will be in for the race...

Oh cool dynamic weather aswell, wow its going to be CRAZY WOOOHOOO lol
 
Oh god, hope it doesn't start raining just as I head into turn 1 D:

Strategies will be blown out the window if rain hits, I like :)

I have. I've messaged Johan about this, but i guess ill say to everyone.

Reason why i haven't done much editing with the rules > too busy memorizing medical terms (school) and making some cash (work).

Whenever i do get free time, i use it to log laps. I get very little practice as it is. At Monza, the only track time i had was during qualy days. I started this series during the winter break, so if it appears that i have less attention to it compared from the start, well, i blame my books. My work/school load has doubled this past month. Most of my posts from the last couple of threads has been through my iPhone - mostly during breaks at school or work.

To be honest, I can't afford to take the burden of being a steward right now with my current schedule, so ill just keep the law enforcement/enforcing to the four of you blokes for the moment. Case in point: I have to study tonight for a quiz - If you guys can suggest any more improvements to the rules, then let me know and ill update it when i get the chance.

BTW, I've kept note from all the discussion while i was away - specially about the rolling start. I'll be working on it.
