New GT-R Seasonal Time Trial

Holy mother of god..... I just did the most perfect last sector and gained 3 tenths on Dans time O.O..... I was 8 tenths down going into it came out only .497 maintained a 105 apex speed and hit 122 at the black overhead and the top end of 163 mph crossing the line (I can hit 163 normally but was close to 164).... Completely barmy no idea how i did that shame it was a red lined (From Hairpin) but im saving that entire replay just to watch that last sector again to learn it!

Edit: So after red lining god knows how many 31's got my 31.8 in put me to 6th, I know where i made those 3 tenths now on that sick ass last sector that I wrote above.... tenth and a half in the first corner of last sector then the other time in the chicane. This registered lap I lost a tiny bit off time in both places and on first corner.

Now all I need to do now is to put a perfect lap together which is very very difficult.... As just getting the first corner right to start that perfect lap is incredibly hard. You can have good first corners but to get that perfect one you really have to nail it well... Not dropping below 130mph..

I'll also go on my other account and post a pad time see what I can do with that at some point :).

So it is probably possible to do a high 1:30 if you can make up 3 tenths in the last sector. Will be interesting to see how the leaderboards are come closing time, might need a .5XX to get in the top 10 the rate this is going. The top laps currently look nailed as it is, imagine how insane they will look if they get lower by about 5 tenths.

I will be happy to get into the 31's personally, I know I got the pace to, just yet to do a lap without losing a lot of time in some of the corners. I think my current fastest lap, I was chasing my ghost and was a tenth or two down and managed to get up to 2 tenths ahead just before the chicane and then lost some time there again. I've been ahead of my ghost at all points before messing up the chicane so maybe a 1:31.8 is possible if I do a reasonable consistent lap.

Just did an amazing T1/T2 combo 42.9xx... Then completely messed up hairpin as I got all excited lol.

I think a perfect lap would get a 30.9 but pulling it off would be some achievement, 31.2 I think is where the leaderboard will definitely hit at some point and would guarentee a podium in the TT.

Im just wondering whats happening in America there leaderboard seems alot slower? Although they don't have a Dan Holland urging it on :D!

At 31.508, but cant see a 30, 31.2 would be a feat i feel.
I agree but I've been surprised before, the nature of SRF and the difficulty of carrying speed through all corners, you might drop half a tenth here or there and the chicane to carry crazy speed there would probably invalidate a lot of laps so whoever gets a 31.2 is doing extremely well. Good Luck Dan 👍, everyone probably currently in the top 10 is out to get your spot. Them GTPL guys have got extremely close and Tidgney has got immense determination.

Turismo-lester seems to be the only real fast person that is doing the time trials in the US versions and as he mentioned he is only going fast enough to be top. I think in terms of competitiveness of leaderboards, EU and Japan are very similar in regards to top times, then it is the North America leaderboard and lastly the Asia Pacific Leaderboard.

Dropped my time by .003 :(

1.34.575 as of last night #154, haven't been able to check it since.

I really do not know how much more I can drop using this damn controller. It seems that every day I drop about 30 spots. I am going to say as of next Wed. there will not be any controllers in the top 256 which sucks.

A filter option would be better. The problem is a lot of fast pad players have moved to wheels and the Japanese do not have this event so that loses a lot of fast pad players as far as top times go. Hopefully Tidgney shows what is possible with a DS3.

Unbelievable.... Messed up chicane and was on for an even quicker time than my latest quickest of a low 31.7. Another 42.9 Sector 2 but can still see time in both 2,3 and 4 but first sector was pretty nailed to be fair.

As for my determination Im going to keep pushing this :), I've had countless 31.8's and 7's all evening if only I had nailed the entrance to the chicane would have had an amazing time.

I dont think it's possible on the pad with srf on, you can't turn enough.

For sure, top of the leaderboards is not possible with a pad. I wonder if you can do a 32 or a low 33 with a pad though, will be interesting to see what Tidgney can manage to set a benchmark to aim for pad players.

Will give it a go after another 25 lap stint although no promises of a super high time haha :P, will have a proper go on pad tomorrow but will just put in a small stint this evening :).

Go for it Martin, (Tidgney) Top position for UK. Were all watching how it's done. I have work all weekend so will save my energy for Monday daytime running. Stringing all the good bits together is the hardest part, and the ghost or clock puts immense pressure on you as you approach each technical corner, sometimes its just a timing pattern. Maybe my drumming experience willl help with the rhythm. 👍

Good, that will mean you will do a super low time :sly:. A time in the 33's someone has said they have done, your target is to match that at least ;) which I'm confident you will do considering you managed to gold the Vettel Challenge with the standard steering speed on the pad.

I did a 34 dead on my 7th lap with pad (Sticks) but working out my sector times I can get a 1:33.2... but im rather tired lol so will give that a go tomorrow :).

As for wheel... I did my fastest ever T1 + T2 combined of a 42.928 was unbelievable, I also managed to nail the hairpin and chicane again but all different laps think i got 2 31.7's and countless 31.8's and 9's so will hopefully also improve on this tomorrow :)

As far as I know - the fastest pad time would deffo have to be 33 dead, I don't think pad users can get into 32s since so much time is lost in T1.

Best for me is 1:35.616 with pad. All planets need alignment before I crack a 34, but still not bad for a 70 year old.

j/k but this game makes it feel that way, especially after seeing those times. When the kids move out of home I'll invest in a wheel.

Thats really not bad sir:sly::D you motivated me to get another try! I was feeling just about 65 and I think I may get 34 soon as well. Good luck. :gtpflag:

Challenge Completed :)!

Well not yet im more aiming for my wheel time at the moment.

Basically a perfect T1 will give you a very low 21.7xx even a high .6xx thats with a tighter line leaving the last corner of that sector, it then coincides with Sector 2 which your looking for a 42.8xx Now i managed a 1:31.9xx today with a 43.5 T2 lol... But i perfected the chicane again which was nice... I've finally established a good reference and turn in point for it so hoping to improve my time now with a few 25 lap stints...

I've also found a new line into the hairpin and hit the hairpin at a 132mph with a good take on it :)!

Also copied my GT Academy spreadsheet over to look at what the theoritcal fastest lap is, and where my times going after each fastest lap stint.

Let you know in a bit how i get on :)!

Then ill do 2 pad stints later on :).

The car may be boring with SRF but nothing is more fun than trying to improve and find time :D! Or trying to nail the perfect of laps!

Edit: First little stint stopped on lap 12 due to incoming text I got myself upto rank 4, with a soso T2 and T3 and a good Last sector :)! Still time in all sectors 2 tenths at the hairpin still, a tenth in T2 and 2 tenths in last sector I feel although if I could do what I did the other day in the last sector I feel something magical could come from there.

Edit2: Just redlined a 1:31.434...... Completely gutted but my god im putting in some speed in some of these sectors now! I 3 1:31.8's in a row then went to a 7 then to a 670 lol... Time for a brew then time to get this time nailed down!

Had another go with the pad today, best time was 1:33:6 but it was redlined because I went on to the grass on the straight before the lap even started :/.

A few laps later I did a scorching 1st, 2nd and 3rd sector, and was looking good for a 1:33:3, but then cocked up that chicane before the final corner :(. So not much luck on improving my times today, but hey, still only my second attempt, so I can assure you there's more to come :).

Could someone post the sector times for a sub 32 time?

I didn't see any replay and I want know where I'm loosing time.

Thanks in advance

Just watched the top time replay; would be fun if the tires blew or something. I doubt if you could even drive around a track like that in real life, if the tires would hold out for longer than a few laps. Shame they always use these weird Eiffel tracks for these kind of TT, would love to do it around a circuit like Spa.
