New GT-R Seasonal Time Trial

Thanks jaskingt5, I see you improved yesterday too 👍
LoL, I was studying all day yesterday and then when I played gt5 I must have done 40 laps on the time trial. So addictive.

As for the top 10, I think I can get a 1:31.9xx if I can put a nice lap together :scared:
OMG man! You got it.Good time.Next lap for download :) you definitively have to give me some tips! no just patience and practice lol !! Hope I'll see you between 3 soon! Good luck.

Pulled of a 1:36.xxx and I'm currently at 377th, I was at 1233rd, so it's an improvement :embarrassed:

Good time mate, but are you sure? I did 1.35.084 (not sure 100pc) and figured on 611th.
Have to check when get home...( but where is 1.31.xxx ha? ) good luck

First time I've tried one of these Time Trials, a bit harder than I thought! Is there any way to see the total number of people who have registered a lap time? I can only view the top 256.

You are right. There could be a typo in his post. Last night (16 hours ago) I was at 860 with a 1:35.616.

I don't think I can improve much on that using the pad. I know there is a 1:34 in it but can't seem to string together the "perfect" lap.

I tried the TT and gave me 1:44:xxx. A pretty bad time. :( But, at least I got my GT-R! I'm one of the Asian who have the Region 1 version of GT5 and got the car!

That very good time with pad. I have wheel and I'm not much better. I never use pad for driving so its very hard to use for me.I'll try to improve this weekend. Will see.

Haha! I have really been driving out of my skin on this TT. I'll keep racing and hopefully get a 1:31.7xx
Might take a few days though its getting quite hard to improve.

A tip for this TT, is that you can turn the wheel alot, nearly 180 deg's with almost full acceleration on alot of bends to get more grip.
You still need to keep the car balanced though, dont let it wobble or skid uncontrollably.

Well done on the super fast time, watched your lap this morning before work. Nice move thru the last chicane. I am just learning manual shift with the wheel, and got a 1:35.3 last nite, now around 800. Using the pad initially, I think this track and car def needs a wheel for the turn-in. As mentioned in your tip. As for positions of drivers posting their times here, remember that America/Canada etc have a different leaderboard. :)

This was a few hours back so I'm sure people have improved their times since then, which would explain why I got bumped back.

So went back on it tonight... I still cant do this chicane to save my life... was even a tenth up on the fastest after the hairpin.... This chicane will haunt me for ever.... best I've done is 2 tenths dropped after chicane will keep at it though.

Why am I obsessing over this TT? I haven't really done anything else in GT5 since it came out.

I'm now down to 1:35.329

Too bad you can't see rankings by input type. I'd like to see how I rank against other DS3 users.

I went through and looked at the top 256. Of the top:
100-150: 5 are DS3 users
151-200: 14
201-256: 18

Only 36 DS3 users ahead of me. World wide? Cool.

108#, GTBR_Jhonathan-PR @ 1:34.223, +1.968
Now at 109#

Edit: It can't just be that the top 108 drivers own wheels. Not 1 DS3 user in the top 100! And almost 2 seconds off pace. Pad users are at a disadvantage in this challenge.

Cheers mate, thanks for the info. I feel a little better now.

jesus christ. Just watched his lap and thats insane. maybe i should get a wheel. I got like a low 1:37:00. But thats just crazy. Its like hes drifting the track and i 'm driving . One gear ahead on a lot of the corners.
poor poor ds3

After a day break i try to catch turismo-lester

I see where i loss time but it's difficult to put all in one lap, and its more difficult with my old CRT TV :grumpy:

I'm almost blind tryin this TT

I assume you mean chicane before last corner. I have more trouble with sector 1, chicane seems ok, in 4th cutting the corner, I dab the brake/change briefly to 3rd to drift across power off slightly, then back on as soon as stable, and 4th gear. But I am way slower than you. :)

Thanks for the info on the Americas listing. I just checked the Europe/Africa/Australia time sheet and none of the 250 i can see are pad times now. 250th place is now 1:33.660

Hehe im corner cutting and its not the exit speed its maintaining the apex speed which is a real trouble through there and its where I loose the time. Managed to match it at the end of the night so slowly getting there but very tricky on a very good lap!

I dont have that kind of experience yet !!! managed 2/10 faster last nite with a missed shift as well, then 1/1000 off that, made me laugh a bit.:scared: But just couldn't boss the car last nite, maybe too tired. too many scruffy laps.

I'm getting addicted to this to, but us pad users have no hope. I think there should have been 2 different boards, 1 for pad users and 1 for wheel users.

Managed to get 1:33:xxx a few nights ago with the DS3 after not too many attempts. Will give it another go this weekend, reckon I can shave at least another second off.

I agree that us pad users have no chance of getting the #1 spot, but to say that it's impossible to do well at all with the DS3 in this time trial is just an excuse.
