Race Recap

Wow, our first Full Room! :) :sly: 👍 :D It looks like we are going to have to go to 2 lounges now. We had another great night of racing with close running battles all over the place! The races were extremely competitive. In Division 1 we actually had a 4 way tie for 1st place. DREX81 took it outright with the 2 point bonus for getting the pole. We had to use the "Tie Breaker" (fastest lap) to place the next 3 drivers. We also had a tie for 1st place in both Division 2 and Division 3! 👍

Welcome and congratulations to xX-Recon-xX, RidgelineDiv, mc_polo, and DESI-VIKING for hanging in there and finishing both races. Enduro races by their very nature are challenging. Unfortunately, we had 1 disconnection (Psycho-Tuber). Other than that, it was a very fun night of close competitive racing. Congratulations guys!

No division request

i14dc1 - (GTP) i14dc1 / White Car with Mint Green Wheels / Car #59

If you want to use driving aids (Everything but Skid Recovery) then you'll be Division A.

If you are fine with just ABS then you will most likely start in Division 2.

I guess since this is my first time racing in a league, and with longer races than i'm used to, i'll start in division A.

I've had a lot of experience racing online, I've just been away from gt5 for a while. Many people called me fast, and I kept tight races clean :D

Welcome to Turtle Racing league i14dc1 we have you as White car / Mint Green wheels and # 59. Division A.
Thanks for joining we look forward to seeing you on track.
Friend requests will be sent this evening.

That is a shocker to me after looking at the results.................................
Still need to practice my racing skills though _--

Nice results, that will teach me not to sit on what I thought was a good qualifying time. I thought 2:12.629 would hold and disappeared only to come back and see Drex had beaten it. Either way great races!

When I saw the .629 I was shocked! My lowest before that was .876 an I was happy with that! I put on new tires and tried again and hit Schumacher S as quick as I could! I was surprised to see green numbers!

I also can't believe the points! 4 way tie on track! Insane finish!

I think Turtle Racing is accomplishing all its goals! Good job organizers and racers alike!

I was only one in Division 3 for the Laguna Seca race, so I don't feel I need a ticket.

Thanks though.

You showed up and raced and you shouldn't be penalized because other drives didn't. Choose your prize, either the 1967 Birthday Ticket or the 1966 Birthday Ticket. :)

I'd like to get involved with a regular race.

Great, thank you for joining the Turtle Racing League. It looks like your color combination and car number are both available. Just accept the Turtle FR's you will receive shortly and you will be ready to go. Be sure and try to join our Wednesday and Friday practices for a little online experience. Welcome to the Turtle Racing League! 👍

Hey, I just purchased my Camaro RM and I'm gonna do a little 3-5 lap practice. I just wanna know your guy's lap times. Thanks . . .

Be sure to set the lounge to "Tuning Prohibited" and make sure your car can enter. Mine wouldn't at first, then I remembered that on some RM cars you have to set the transmission to default to get past the "Tuning Prohibited" filter even if you haven't changed anything. After I did that I got in with no problem.

I'm not sure how possible this would be, but someday we should have some sort of a simulated 24hour nurburgring race. Like, for example, there would be a team consisting of 4-5 people each, (ie. one person from each division). Each person from the team would race at the same time, in their own respective lounges, but at different times of the day spanning a set time of about 4-6 hours. After that set time, the person would return to the pit-stop racing, and the number of laps travelled would be recorded, and the amount of time also recorded(for tie-breakers). The total number of laps would then be accumulated accross all team-mates would be tallied, and the team with the highest number of laps completed wins.

Maybe 4-6 hours would be too much time for many people, so maybe a modified 16 hours of nurburgring would be more doo-able. This would be ultra cool though if this could be done, especially since I love the full nurburgring track :)

That sounds like fun. Personally I would double up the time progression so there would be a total of 12 hours racing(24 simulated). With 4 or 6 per team that would be 2 to 3 hours a piece. Much more and some may not be able to do it, or wouldn't want to. It gets spread out and lonely on the ring at times. May I suggest the Schulze Motorsports R35. I'd draw up some plans and PM Turtle Racing.

regardless, we should do a race with that car on the ring...a long race :)

2-3 hour enduro timed to do 24 hour game cycle. i think it would be fun and honestly, we could do 2 different types of cars maybe for the classes. one much quicker than the other so we can see more people on the track :) (turn off penalties too)

anyway, i digress...

probably better saved for gt6 with 32 cars on track :)
