I was in briefly for DTM2 at Suzuka but due to the time I was unable to race with my full focus. However, I was quite quick.

I see now that the races are on Tuesdays and at an eariler time so I would like to sign up for this.

I'll do some testing abit and then drive either the Audi or the M3 GTR.


Oh and I signed up on the website as well.

Think I put Audi TT-R as first choice but would this be able to be changed to the M3 GTR?

No need to register on this forum if you have already done so on the website. A message to say you have registered and to say hi would be good. Try to keep us on page 1 of the forums and try to attract some more drivers. I'll do a drivers list tomorrow night when i have some time. Got about 10 registrations last time i looked.
 
lol...and again we have those 'fly-by-voters'

but track selection is looking good.. only hope Côte d’Azur willl not make it :drool:

Just a practice session and general car test. We can have a vote when the room is up. Should be on at about 8:15pm BST. 30 min practice followed by 2 x 30min races i think would be good. Open DTM Car choise.
 
Bummed that I can't join you guys for DTM4, but I'm still at work at race times on Tuesdays. I was just starting to get the hang of driving with you guys too.

Good luck to all -- I'll see if maybe I can get in on DTM5.
 
Just thought I'd say, there is server maintenence during the pre-season scheduled time.

Just finishing up work to have a full evening of racing after having the PS3 off for more than a week (yes that's a long time for me) :grumpy:

^^^Flexi how about setting up a seperate DTM series for a North American friendly time. You can use all the same rules and use the DTM Group page as a base. There are loads of NA guys who are still members of the group. The NA Series in season 1 had a great following. A lot more than the EU Series at the time. The only reason it didn't continue was because i could not keep up with running two series at the same time. I'm sure you would get more than enough drivers who were interested.

BTW, to give you guys an update. At the moment we have 10 drivers registered for DTM4. So there are still spots left!
One noticeable thing is that the Vauxhall/Opel team has no drivers yet! The Abt TT-R is very popular, again.

Team format
Every season we have had cancellations of team drivers and new drivers entering during the series. Because of that the team championship became a bit messy last season. We also had new reserve drivers that wanted to race but couldn't because they didn't had the right car. So JT proposed to set the limit of 3 cars per team aside and only count the best 2 cars of the teams towards the team championship.
If we do that, the grouping will be:
6 Audi Abt TT-R's
2 Audi A4's
1 BMW M3
1 Merc CLK

If we stick to the old format the A4, TT-R, BMW teams are filled and there will be 1 CLK on the track.

So what do you guys think?

Don't know what date JT has in mind to close the track voting but all registered drivers have given their vote now. If I filter out the people that voted without signing up I come to the following:
  1. Suzuka 7
  2. N GP/F 7
  3. Monza 7
  4. Gr Valley 6
  5. Sarthe 5
  6. Trial M 4
  7. Cote 4
 
Don't we just spread the cars based on peoples 2nd and 3rd choices? Odd that no one has picked last seasons winning car, I just wanted a change.

The track line up looks OK but how do you guys deal with the cutting at Monza and Sarthe?
 
I would just use peoples 2nd and 3rd choices to try and make 2 people per team. I'm not bothered what car I get so feel free to put me in any team symp although I would prefer a car I've not drove yet.

Yeah Astra has won both titles the last two seasons and always stuggles to get drivers ..... weird lol. I think if you get caught cutting chicanes JT gets his Ninja outfit out and hunts you down ;) seems to work I've yet see anyone cutting lol

With the teams as they are, everyone gets their 1st or 2nd choice as it appeared on the registration. (Except me who changed my first choice to Vaux/Opel)

If you have a 'N' next to 'Read Rules' then you failed the reading rules test (rule 13.2). Please read the rules as there are some changes from previous seasons denoted by a '|' after the text. If you have a 'Y' then, well done, you have passed. Certificates are in the post.... :)

Race 1 will be at Suzuka as it is well out in front and we need to get some practice in before Tuesday. More info on race 1 to come soon.
