Welcome to the second season of BTCC sponsored by D-Max Team.

Based on BTCC and WTCC formats we bring you close touring car action.

Races: 2 heats per round with a 15 minutes qualifying session before. First race is a short sprint and then a reverse grid feature race with a mandatory pit stop. The meeting will take place on Monday nights (may change). Races will be held in My Lounge.
Before Qualify starts track will be reseted and cars will enter track through a process of checking weight and Power for the different cars.

Race day Schedule:
  • Room open - 20:00 BST
  • Qualify procedure - 20:40
  • Race - 21:00
  • Race 2 - Starts after 5 minutes brake
This season we have a drop on power to 300 HP and a change to Racing Hard Tires. We will have strict rules as the group of drivers has evolved from what was the first online league for some.

So expect some more action this season with cars that were tested to bring them as close as possible.

A ballast system will be used but with some changes from season 1. Instead of adding ballast to the drivers table it will be based on podium finishers. Winner will get 30 Kg added, second place will get 20 and third will get 10. Ballast will be accumulated till reaching 50 Kg. If a driver with ballast fails to get a podium finish, 10 Kg of ballast will be removed.
Ballast.jpg

Room settings:
  • Damage: Heavy
  • Grip reduction: Real
  • False Starts: On
  • Tire & Fuel: On
  • Penaltys: Off
  • Mics: On (The group of drivers we have likes to communicate like this. However talk during races and qualify should be kept to a minimum, like to signal a crash or cars impeding the track)

There will be both Drivers and Teams Standings so find yourself a partner and sign up using the following format:

Team Name
GTP Name / PSN Name x2 (for both drivers)
Car / Car color / Rim color

Drivers who participated on Season 1 have preference over their previous car.
Only 2 teams for each car.

Race Schedule:
  • Grand Valley East Section // 3 Km /// 7 laps // 18 laps
  • Monza (Weather) // 5.79 Km /// 6 laps // 16 laps
  • Cape Ring Inside // 2.48 Km /// 7 laps // 18 laps
  • Laguna Seca // 3.60 Km /// 6 laps // 16 laps
  • Monaco // 3.35 Km /// 6 laps // 16 laps
  • Accepting sugestions
  • Nurburgring GP/F // 5.15 Km /// 6 laps // 16 laps
  • Suzuka (Weather) // 5.81 Km /// 6 laps // 16 laps
Date of first race to be anounced. There will be a few Pre Season practices.

Points:

The lowest meeting score will be droped to acomodate possible absence from a race due to real life.
Points.jpg

Penalties:
  • First penalty will be only a warning (unless it's a major violation of the rules). After that, points will be subtracted to the championship standings.
  • A driver who violates Track Boundaries rules will be penalized in 1, 2 or 5 points depending on the level of the offense.
  • Drivers violating Overtaking, Defensive Driving or Car Contact rules will be penalized in 1 point. If the same driver receives another penalty, the points penalty will double. So second time it will be 2, then 4, 8 and so on. Hopefully we'll never need to go that high.
  • Drivers who don't do the mandatory pit stop will get disqualified and will not receive any points for the Feature race.
  • If a driver wants to report an incident he must send a PM to me (KamyKaze1098) explaining the incident and what lap/race it ocurred. If drivers keep posting on the thread point penalties may be aplied.
See Rules regarding track behavior.

The cars:

The BTCC series will allow a strict number of cars that were tested in order to be evenly matched.
You must only apply the listed parts for each car. Failure to do so can result on point penalties or even Disqualification from the series.
Note that the cars will only reach their top power once run in. For that is recomended your car has at least 180 Miles or 300 Km on its odometer. You can let Bob do that for you. Select the endurance race at Indianapolis and let him do 75 laps. After that change the oil and your car is ready.
You can't install any other part in order to compensate the car not being run in.
Cars specs may change if needed during the season.

Rules regarding track behavior

Overtaking
  • When approaching the turn/apex of turn, the car which "holds" the inner side of turn has entrance-advantage and other driver(s) must refrain from endangering him by his actions.
  • You must establish substantial overlap with the car ahead before they reach the corner’s turn-in point to have the right to drive up their inside, or to expect them to leave inside room for you. At least the front of your car should be up to the driver’s position in the ahead car. The ahead driver has the right to be fully committed to the racing line of their choice without any interference if there was no substantial overlap before he turned in.
  • If sufficient overlap is established before the turn-in point, then the behind driver has the right to sufficient side room. The ahead driver must also leave sufficient side room for the behind driver. This means that each driver has a right to their respective "line", or side of the track, right up to the exit point. Neither driver should squeeze the other toward the inside or outside of the corner during the apex or exit.
  • If an ahead driver has clearly made an error to warrant a passing move, a behind driver may attack their position, with due caution and care, regardless of whether there was any pre-existing overlap. However, the overtaking driver must still avoid contact. Small errors by the ahead driver may not justify a passing move. The ahead driver getting a bit out of shape at times doesn’t give you an automatic right to pass. You still have to judge if their error allows for a safe pass to take place.
  • Situational awareness is vital. Not seeing your opponent will not be a valid excuse if you are involved in an incident.
Defensive Driving
  • Drivers are allowed one move when defending in a straight. After that move drivers can’t change their lane again until after the following turn.
  • Anything aggressive such as sudden movements (when the overtaking car is about to pass and is very close) are strictly forbidden. In no case a driver can use his only move in a straight in this form.
  • Deliberately squeezing a car beyond the edge of the track or any other unusual change of direction are strictly forbidden.
  • Driving down a straight and placing your car off or opposite the driving line far in advance before the braking zone, forcing your opponent to take the outside line or a different line in general, is considered a reasonable strategy for defending your position.
Car Contact
  • Car contact will be strictly regulated to ensure a disciplined racing environment.
  • Any close or minimal contact with another car with small to no effect to the race outcome will be tolerated.
  • Any contact that causes any damage to another car/s is deemed illegal and will be subject to penalties.
  • Any car that gains a spot/s through contact with another car, must relinquish the said spot/s or he will be subjected to penalties.
  • Drafting must be conducted carefully. You cannot bump draft another car if you are about to enter the braking zone.
  • A car ahead of drafting pack cannot be deemed responsible for any incident/damage if he commenced braking at a reasonable point inside the braking zone. It’s the drivers who are behind responsibility to adjust to the greater speed and the longer braking areas caused by the draft effects.
  • Reckless and overall aggressive driving will not be tolerated.
  • Your goal on turn 1 should not be to get to the front, but rather to convert a double wide start field to a single file running order. Look ahead more than one car. Due to field compression, a compact field will run slower through the first few turns than a spread out one. Leave some extra space, but not too much. Drivers behind you won't be expecting sudden braking.
Track Boundaries
  • Drivers must always keep 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times (unless stated otherwise prior to the race event).
  • The edges of the track are marked with white lines and are considered to be a part of the track.
  • The Rumble Strips are part of the track; however, all surfaces with green paint, either beside it or be the rumbles themselves, are not part of the track.
  • Do not hit any objects visible or invisible (eg. cones, barriers, walls, etc.)
  • It is the responsibility of the car returning to the track to ensure there are no collisions so that no other drivers have to maneuver or brake suddenly to allow you to resume racing. If there's a chance of a collision, wait and be patient as other drivers have the right of way.
  • Also, if a driver unintentionally or intentionally leaves the track and gains a spot, he must relinquish that spot or he will be penalized.
  • Drivers committing serious mistakes repeatedly or seem to have a problem with keeping the car on the track would be reported to the Stewards and could result in penalties.
At any given time during the season, drivers are expected to follow these rules. Any driver who deliberately appears to break any of these rules to gain advantage at any stage in the race or the season could be penalized by the Stewards.

Honda Integra* or Mazda*
Blue/Black Rims or Orange/White Rims
Team name to be decided.

*Car choice is 95% certain (Honda) but as I was testing on slightly different regs I will re test tonight and confirm final car choice this evening, if Honda I'm blue, if Mazda I'm Orange.

Also can you confirm light damage for short race and heavy for feature race?

I wanna sign up but only if I can use my 120d it's the same as the other cars ;)

Man up and use the premium BMW, or be a real man and use an FF car :sly:

But seriously, kamy's done a lot of work to ensure the cars are even, adding more cars just means more work to do - think there's a good enough selection of cars atm and we already have a 1 series in there!

As Andy said allready 4 FR cars. Go for a FF car.
Also I need some british to confirm the 325 BHP as the room limit. I'm not sure about that.

EDIT: @priesty Heavy for both races. As you can see in the rules and penalty sections contact is to be limited this season so it will be heavy in both races.
Also all BMWs are taken as far as I know, so new sign ups won't have that availiable.

i'm up for this in my civic again (possibly with new colour scheme, haven't decided yet lol). Don't think I've got a team mate at the moment seeing as Jimmy's wimped out and gone the rwd route :P if anyone else wants to team up gimmie a shout :)

Colour choice is unsure yet...

We need to run Road course - Daytona, it's so crazy!

If we're on tonight we'll put a BTCC practice up, and run this track.

I honestly think thats a bad track because of the huge draft and because its easy to wait till last lap in the home straight to win it.

How about the dropped GT tracks?? Deep Forest:yuck: or Trial Mountain:yuck:??
Anyone fancys that??

💡

Oh. How could I forget that?? Tsukuba. Fits this cars really nice.

Have your say people.

Would like to sign up for this but Monday's are no good for me as I compete in another league, if the day changes then let me know 👍

I'd like to enter this series if possible

LOLOL I like the name ;)
We need to sort out the power regulations, the closest limit we can get is 305Bhp (to the 300bhp limit originally set). If you come to a room tonight, i'll set the limit to 305bhp and you can tell us what it comes up as for you...

EDIT: Just noticed, theres only 6 cars, that means only a 12 man grid... I thought we were doing full 16?

Monday at 4:00 EDT works perfect for me, actually, since I'll be working nights starting next week.

I have no idea what car I want. Maybe I'll talk to Paul or somebody and we can team up.

My ride is running the bspec 300k enduro so I won't know what bhp it's gonna finish on till it's finished.

I did notice tho the Mazda has a decent amount of pp over the Honda.

I'll be on GT5 till about 8 tonight as I then have some F1 coop to do

Those cars appear familiar

Good luck with this, may pop by occasionally.

In my opinion, I think we should drop monaco, I know you've got all the historical value, but it's a bit too tight really. I'd much rather run deep forest AND Trial Mountain, they're both really nice fast flowing tracks that gave really good racing in season 1. Tsukuba does fit in with the BTCC feel being a small club-style circuit, so I think that should be included as well.

I'm in

Team - HMSMotorsport (Privateer)
Car - BMW 135i in Hemi Orange / AMG Monza Grau Magano

Also - Let Alex use his diesel 1-Series... It's evenly matched, we tested the other night. And it has a cool wing!

To be honest rather have more mixed cars than the same. Alex's bmw is pretty well matched against everyone.

I'm using the 135i teaming up with Chris ( FRAG )
Colour yet to decide.

He is a good team mate to have ;) I believe we should 'share technical data' this season.... I.e I want to try your setup!

Count me in for this. The time and day really suit me rather than having it on a weekend. Just need to choose which car i'm having

ps3dan101
Right then can i use a 135i ?

Why don't you just team up with HMS?

Anyway,

Kammy, those settings you gave for the Integra come out at 296bhp (altho on the garage screen it shows 295bhp) that's at 195.8 miles and a engine refresh
