Turnaround race?

It might have been more appropriate to use the oldest possible layout of Le Mans for Tuesday,
but that particular version doesn't have the feature of being able to choose track time.

So I had to pick the 2013 layout because I'd like the race to start at sunrise and end at sunset.
I'll check what time progression number is needed for it to work with the twenty minutes endurace race that it is.

Hi guys, hi @JockeP22,
At first I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Patrick, from France and I joined recently the S.A.C.
I had thursday my very first "Casual Night" online race. What a fun!!! :lol:
I also joined the "BMW Z8 Club". Jocke was so kind and sent me an invitation for the upcoming Tribute races on Tuesday... So, here I am!...
Regarding the BMW Z8, I don't know this car at all. I'll have to practice a little by then, so please be patient with me... :rolleyes:

Now I've got a few questions generally:
  • What means "Tyres/Full set to very fast"
  • What means "SM"? e. g. 510PP SM
Thats all for now and I'm looking forward to race with you...

Cheers and greets from France! :cheers:

Translated ;)
  1. Évolution pneus/carburant :Très rapide
  2. Sport : moyens
LOL! I didn't expect a "translation". I also know the google translator (BTW, very, very bad translator, but at least very funny translations... :lol:). However thanx for the reply! 👍

No, I just meant the sense of the sentence/word. What should I understand?...:odd:

Under "Tyres set to very fast" I suppose that the use of "race soft" tyres is meant...?..

It means tyre wear is set to fast.

I think Jocke means that the tyre and fuel usage will be set to very fast - the highest rate. Therefore your tyres will deteriorate a lot quicker than usual and will require a bit of management to last the entire race without changing them.

The tyre compound for both races is Sports Medium

I notice that he has set the PP limit to 505 for the one race and 510 for the other. A bit more power or a bit less weight - up to you.

The Z8 is a fun car to drive. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. 👍

Edit - has Aaroh say's :)

High maintenance lol

Oh yes. I've had to buy all the correct "Z" cleaning range... (and there's more than 8!)

Thanks everyone for helping Patrick out. 👍
I agree, thank you all for you support!!! :gtpflag:

@CTR Driver : You were right. These are exactly the French words that I could find in the "Event settings" window. I didn't know that. Please accept my apology for my misunderstanding... :bowdown: :cheers:

@IfAndOr : Thanx for the detailed explanation. As written above, I found the "Event settings" window and now, I think all is clear. May the force be with you! and a little bit with me...
Oh, BTW, Manny brought me here... ;)

@MannYhAvitZ : In fact, pretty girl and not that easy to tame... :embarrassed: and nice butt BTW... :dopey:

👍:cheers::cool::cheers::):cheers:👍

Hi chaps, I love you all, you know that. But, I can't bring myself to race around Monza and Lemans in one night, not when there's paint to watch drying, grass to watch growing and pins to stick in my eyes. Good grief they are terrible tracks, in my humble opinion.

So, I'll keep my eyes peeled on what is in store next week, or perhaps through the week, and catch y'all on track soon.

Cheers, Zo.

The tribute races are on for today at 8pm GMT.
Four hours to go..

For next Tuesday, February 3rd also at 8pm GMT there will be
another Turnaround race at the Nordschleife;

There will be six 507's available, five Z4's and five Z8's. All must be driven with those three pre-determined PP / BHP / KG-settings.
Those are the stock numbers from the dealership.

Other setups like transmission, wings etcetera is up to you, the only restrictions will be those three numbers above.

Damage will be light, tyres are set to Sports Medium across all three cars.
Otherwise realistic settings as usual.

This time there will likely be a heck of a lot more traffic than last time out when we all had DB9's.
Just remember to stay to the right when you see oncoming traffic ahead.
The race will see three different winners, one in each class of cars.

I know some drivers expressed an interest in this event already and picked cars ahead of time.
@buybon355 @Cu3e @gkgamer wanted the 507
@SmileyWRX wanted the Z4
@cgg wanted the Z8

Do you still want these cars, guys? Or change of heart?

The race is set up for 1 lap on the board but in reality we will be going for 3 laps.
Lap one and three will be the right way and lap two the wrong way.

How and where to turn around:
