Turnaround race?

Sound Jocke. I'm not any any clubs Monday night, so it usually involves random lobbies, or quick matches to build my funds up. Got myself a headset now too, so you'll be able to enjoy my lovely Scottish accent, which you may or may not understand lol. See you then

If you feel like it some time, please drag me along to a 'Quick Match' event.
I have no idea how it works, I've never even entered the Quick Match section of the game yet. :embarrassed:

Yeah, you can't choose who you're in with. We could both enter at the same time and end up in two different rooms, once we eventually get in that is (servers). But seriously, if you're down on funds it pays mega bucks for 3 minutes of racing. Couple of hours will see you several millions richer :cheers:

I'll be there today too. As I told Jocke, I have been looking for other tracks with good turnaround points and have at least 10 that work great. Wide tracks were a consideration too. If we can't get a Course Creator, might as well make your own fun. I wish they could just "throw" the old GT5 Course Creator into GT6. That would be great. Especially if I could use my 275 (and counting) custom tracks from GT5 in GT6.

I love getting in Alice Cooper and going off looking for new roads. That is what the turnaround concept is all about. What's around the next corner? Who might be coming the other way? What about at night? How far ahead can you see headlights coming at you? Just round the next bend or a few turns away? Just like real life. You never know until you know.

remember Backwards man
I saw that movie many years ago. I remember one scene where he played piano with sausages hanging from the ceiling. :odd:

This is a concept I'd like to try / explore. 👍
The course creator was actually my favourite part of GT5.
I never got the chance to try it. If it had been available now though I know just the track I would have created. :dopey:

A bit of confusion today.
While you guys were waiting for me in the Club Lobby, I was waiting for you in the Club Events section.
That is the only place where the race results get saved.

Today's practice race: (sorry @gkgamer ;) but Smiley just shattered your record)

Smiley you wondered how to find these results. If you look under the event they should all be there;

Wheeler and I have also talked about a follow-up race where we race the three BMW convertibles on stock PP.
The BMW 507 at 362 pp, the Z4 at 420 pp and the Z8 at 485 pp. Five cars available for each model.
That would make the field even more spread out and the on-coming traffic should be almost constant.

I'll put my name down for the 507
I could join with the 507 👍
I guess it would be 507 for me as well
Z4 for me mr. Jocke :P
cgg
I'll stick to the Z8 for this one

Great :)
Need to start planning for this one then.

I think I'm seriously down on practice for this chaps, and I'm not that hot here anyway

Big racing day today.
First Smiley's Cappuccino Club Tokyo Special - Today @ 19:00 GMT -> Sign up open :)

Right after that our Turnaround race at 20:30 GMT.

Quick reminder if you're joining;

* One-Make race - 512pp - 471 BHP - 1,710 KG
* All drivers will use the Aston Martin DB9 Coupe '06
* Oil-change will be permitted
* All other changes that affect BHP and Weight will be prohibited
* Tuning allowed (transmission etc..)

And respect the turnaround spot;

Hope the race will be as fun as I think.

It was really fun Jocke!
I could not miss this Turnaround event cause it was really exciting seeing traffic coming your way and trying to avoid a collision :bowdown:

This sure is something different and I don't think I've seen no one else try this, overall it was a lot of fun racing with all of you and is always nice to see a mix of Flags from all over the world :cheers:

Good race to all of you!👍

I know, Wayne.

I couldn't make up my mind on whether I wanted to go with fiction or real life, so I pulled the old switcheroo and mixed in a little of both.
But I will happily admit that I even managed to confuse myself this time. :lol:

It goes well though with our current turnaround theme don't you think? What's real, what's fiction, what's normal, what's the right way on the track?,
why are we here, the meaning of life..

Oh yeah, I've watched Grand Prix countless times and I think Montand's performance and acting was superb.
I think he said he didn't like doing the fast car scenes because of the danger. Or was that Antonio Sabato?

I've even done the famous 'Garner walk' on the Monza start/finish straight. I visited Italy in 2011 and going to Monza was one of my goals.
Travelled to Imola that time, too.
