Yes, because the Deltawing race went so well.
Hey, the RUF's aren't nearly as difficult as that damn DeltaWing. I just won't put the Yellowbird in, because chaos will ensue. Granted I haven't run any of these cars in GT6 yet, but from my experience in GT5, the BTR is gonna have a little oversteer, so it'll probably be the most troublesome. The CTR2 is FAST, but the opposite of the BTR, quite understeery. And I felt like the RGT was a very well handling car in GT5. We may find out if they end up on the schedule, which I'm thinking they will. :mischievous:

RGT is very much like a pendulum through chicanes.

Turtle Racing League - Final Results

-don’t read too much into these (unless your name is BionicDerp ), as Race 2 wasn’t really much of a race

1st Place: BionicDerp (65 Points - Pole)
2nd Place: DolphDrago* (54 Points ~ Tie Breaker ~ qualified higher than GTMX-HECTO1)
3rd Place: GTMX-HECTO1* (54 Points ~ Tie Breaker ~ qualified lower than DolphDrago)
4th Place: micantony (50 Points)
5th Place: euclid58* (48 Points ~ Tie Breaker ~ posted a lap time in race 2)
6th Place: Psycho-Tuber* (48 Points ~ Tie Breaker ~ did not post a lap time in race 2)
7th Place: lightningdf22b1 (46 Points)
8th Place: BigMoMo101 (18 Points)

*each driver ran a faster lap in each race...results fell back on qualifying time
**each driver started both races, with Psycho-Tuber running a faster lap time in race 1, but Psycho did not record a lap time in race 2 while euclid58 did (wasn’t sure how to score this). Please don’t hate me, Psycho. :guilty:

Turtle Racing League - Race Night Recap

What a night! Everyone quickly found out how evil and finicky that stinkin’ DeltaWing was in Race 1. I have a feeling everyone went off course several times each lap (with BionicDerp maybe being an exception). Bionic easily outran the field for a 1st place finish. There really isn’t much to say other than there was plenty of calamity for the rest of the field. micantony was able to finish within a minute of Bionic, while GTMX-HECTO1 barely missed the cut. But the duo had solid silver and bronze finishes respectively to show for it. Psycho-Tuber seemed to keep a steady, careful pace to keep from taking too many trips into the grass or armco, finishing 4th. DolphDrago had a somewhat decent qualifying lap, but couldn’t put down a clean lap to save his life in the race itself, and it showed. He would eventually end up in the 5th position. Time expired as lightningdf22b1 and euclid58 were still on the track, hoping to get to the line in time. They in turn finished 6th and 7th. Rounding out the field was BigMoMo101, as he DNF’d and ended up 8th.

Future note to any schedule makers: DO NOT PUT HEAVY DAMAGE ON FOR A RACE AT THE GREEN HELL!!! Of the seven starters of race 2, only 3 were there at the finish, and one of those couldn’t get his crew to fix his car in time, finishing in the pits. With heavy damage, lap 1 saw a couple of retirements, as micantony and Psycho barely made it onto the Nordshleife before their races came to a screeching halt. With no competition to race with, lightning’s crew figured they had nothing to gain, calling him into the pits and ending his night. Hector also collected a DNF. Overall, Bionic once again dominated, scoring the win. Despite several wrecks, which forced multiple pit stops, Dolph was the only other driver still running on the track, finishing 2nd despite not technically putting up an official time. As mentioned, euclid was in the pits at the end of the race, but still collected a bronze finish for his effort. Filling out the field was Hector, lightning, Psycho, and micantony.

With only 3 drivers still around after race 2, race 3 was naturally abandoned.

For the final results, one thing is for sure; Bionic was the clear winner on the night. As noted, no need to read too much into the final results, as race 2 was, shall we say, a cluster:censored:. Dolph and Hector tied for 2nd in the overall standings, with each driver having a faster lap in one of the 2 races. Therefore, qualifying was the determining factor, where Dolph outpaced Hector. 4th place went to a not-so-happy micantony. euclid was the only driver other than Bionic and Dolph to see both races to the end, resulting in an overall finish of 5th place in the standings. Psycho scored the same amount of points, but since he did not finish a lap in race 2, hence not recording a fast lap, the tiebreaker went to euclid. That left Pyscho in 6th in the standings. Note that Psycho did run a faster lap in than euclid in race 1. However, the scorekeeper, clearly inept, had no idea how to go about the tiebreaker and went with what was stated above. Psycho may scream profanities and throw various objects at the scorekeeper if he so wishes. lightning, after retiring in race 2, would go on to finish 7 overall in the standings, with BigMoMo in 8th rounding out the field after not starting the 2nd race.

Whew. Thank goodness we are done with this week. What looked like would be a fun race at the Green Hell indeed turned into hell for the majority of the drivers. Hopefully such a circumstance can be averted in the future. :D

I spun twice on the last lap in the DeltaWing, and avoided damage only until the last lap in R2. I had a slight knock on the wall entering the Nordshliefe and managed to keep it on track until the end... My motto that night was to drive around 80% - 90% to keep it on track. Better to go "slow" and not crash than go fast and crash quickly. It paid off. :)

I wasn't planning on doing this one, but i might show up if you need moving chicanes tonight :dopey:

I tend to avoid the rally racing, since i hate to do them with a wheel (and it would actually take practice to get reacquainted with my DS3 again; although GT6 is tempting me to go back to it!)

I've gotten a lot better at rallying/drifting since I got the G27. Setting the wheel to the smallest number of degrees (Start, Select, Triangle... I think) really helps for me since it's more like just being able to flick the thumb between full lock.

Good luck at the ring tonight.
Get out front as soon as you can
The only time I've done that race was in the flex series a little over a year ago.
Reverse grid I start out front and wrecked everyone in the 3rd turn. My lap times were over 10 minutes then. A very slick race.
Dolph won that one by a pretty good margin over everyone.

Trust me, no one minded the wreck. We all just followed you off course, THEN a little chaos ensued. I think we were all just having fun out there, regardless of how that race turned out.

By the way, I plan to open the room a bit after 9.

Room is up and ready for practice. ID: 1472-6118-3830-2743-1483

Edit: To get in with your car, go into car settings, take your transmission down one click, then back up one click to the original top speed, and it'll let you in. Have no idea why, but it works. Thanks to Racing for finding the fix. 👍

Crap. Triple post coming. Then I plan on doing the results for the FLEX Series racing last night, unless someone sneaks in a post after this one.

First I wanted to thank all of those that came out last night for the rallying. And I really want to say that the race at Toscana was one of most fun races I've EVER had playing GT. Definitely the most fun I've had on dirt. A 4 car battle for 3rd place up to the finish. I didn't even care where I finished, I just enjoyed it so much. :dopey:

And as mentioned above, I plan to post the results here soon.

Turtle Racing League - Race Night Recap

Another interesting, wild, fun, frustrating set of races we had in FLEX this week. That’ll happen when everybody goes rallying!

Race 1 at Chamonix saw RacingOtaku86 grab the pole and lead over half the race. Unfortunately, he made some contact with the wall with the rear of his car shortly after starting one of his laps and watched as BionicDerp passed him for the lead. Racing followed closely behind the rest of the race, but could not regain the lead, settling for a 2nd place finish while Bionic took the win. qrtintheshade, after an (or is it “a”?) hiatus from FLEX, ran very well in his first race back and only finished a dozen seconds behind the leaders in the 3rd spot while also putting down the fastest lap of the race. Once he got into a groove, GTP_Severn ran a solid race, finishing 4th overall. DolphDrago never could put up a 1:16.xxx lap time like the leaders and saw everyone pull away, only being able to muster a 1:17.0, leading to a 5th place result. euclid58 rounded out the field in what would be a common theme for him on the evening, in 6th position.

In race 2 at Toscana, Racing would once again go on to take the lead. And with no mistakes this time, he finished a comfortable 5 seconds ahead of the nearest competitor, BionicDerp, who would take home silver. Meanwhile, what a race there was for 3rd place! A 4 car battle ensued throughout the entire race all the way to the checkered flag. You could throw a blanket over them at end, as they all finished within 1 second of each other combined. qrt led the group going into the final lap, final turn, before sliding out slightly too wide, allowing Severn and Dolph to pass. And euclid would finish right by his side. The finishing order, 3rd-6th, would turn out to be Severn, Dolph, qrt, and euclid. Finally, joining us for the 2nd race was GTMX-HECTO1, who took the 7th and final spot.

Race 3 led us back to the Nurb, only with a catch...rain. Lots and lots of rain, which led to a slick track (and yet an understeery car). Dolph was able to tame the Green (and misty gray) Hell, winning by a healthy margin. Much to Racing’s dismay, Bionic brought his car home in 2nd, with qrt less than 5 seconds back, in the bronze position. Hector was able to hang on to 4th, while Racing would finish his final race in the 5th position. euclid was ever so close to beating the timer to the line, narrowly missing it, and finished with yet another 6th place. Severn, who must’ve had a heck of a struggle on his final lap, decided to play around in the rain for a bit, and rounded out the field in 7th.

Bionic would go on to take the overall win in the standings with his win and two 2nd place finishes. Racing, mad at himself for making his mistake at Chamonix while leading, as well as the rough race at his nemesis, the Nurb, still finished 2nd overall, with a pole to boot. Dolph, after struggling in the rally races, managed to get 3rd, thanks to his win at the Nurb. qrt was only 2 points back, finishing 4th, and Severn took 5th overall. euclid, with his common theme of finishing 6th in all 3 races, fittingly would finish...6th overall. With Hector missing the first race, he would finish in the final spot in the standings, 7th.

[sneakypost] Any news on next week's event? [/sneakypost]
To answer your question and avoid the quad post , but still making it a double post :scared:...I know we race FLEX Friday, not Sunday nights, but due to Easter being next weekend, we will be taking next week off. I plan on running the updated schedule at the top of this page the following week, starting with the Mustangs (or since you love them so much, we'll call them Ponies :P). I'll try to roll out the schedule beyond that in a couple of days to give everyone an idea of what is coming up. And if some people don't like the look of the combos, then we can discuss some changes. :)

Assuming I won the first two races, he and I would have tied for the overall lead, with him beating me on the tiebreaker. What you guys witnessed was the better rally driver.

I wouldn't necessarily say that (no offense to Bionic). If you hadn't clipped the wall in the 1st race, you likely would have won both of the actual "rally" races. The Nurb in the rain really isn't rallying. I just set up the schedule that way (wet Nurb for race 3) because it was similar to one Psycho had done in GT5.

Also, an update to anyone who hasn't seen or heard about next weekend. We will NOT be running FLEX next week due to it being Easter weekend. We will continue the series the following week with the Mustang races.

Oh, man... I just noticed this.
No racing tonight or tomorrow night? I'm officially hate Easter :P

I've been wanting to run like a 1-2hr Le Mans... time progression set to 24 or 12 so it actually goes for the full 24 hours in game... and having fuel/tire set to Very Fast so that making the tires and tank last becomes paramount.

Maybe the GT-R NISMO GT3 Base Model?

Anyone interested?

EDIT: Meaning running it tonight at 10pm Eastern, per usual schedule.

Alternatively, I'm down for more NASCAR

How many laps will fuel last on very fast?
i hate the tire glitch is the only thing with that idea. The reason i have put off doing endurance races. But i'm running out of patience with it though.
