Well poopypants. The wife has decided we haven't sufficiently used our Disney annual passes enough this year. Therefore she has decided we are going Monday and letting the kids skip school. And so I will be unable to sample the fine racing this monday.

Disney at 10 o'clock at night and all day skipping school. Hmmm, Sounds like someone is a bit skeared.

Skeered you'll run me off the road with your crazy aggressive driving ;)

Apparently Disney is open til like 1am or something nowadays and the wife wants to see the fireworks etc etc blah blah. I'd rather be racing ;)

This is my set up for our non-disney night:

FF: Honda Civic Type R '98-396
FR: Nissan 350Z Roadster '03-448
MR: Honda NSX Type Zero '99-460
AWD: Toyota Celica GT Four R/C '91-416
Total: 1720

Only had 5 on track which was a bit disappointing but it was still a good night.
I blame Disney! Once GT6 roles around I think we will see numbers coming back up. Maybe we can even find a night to race that I can join in.

Some photos from the first 2 races:

And here's an example of just missing an apex by carrying too much speed:

Ok, maybe it's more than 'just'....

....I didn't even know it was possible to hit the wall here.

Haha nice one Tez. I have most certainly hit that wall before in either an F1 car or the FGT. Looks like you guys had fun, sorry I couldn't make it.

Ken and his Lexuses (or Lexi?)

Except for the Audi TT AWD car. I ran cars that I have never raced before because they're not that good at their pp. Had a great night of racing.

That VW bug wasn't as bad as I thought. May have to use it again..

I'm thinking of rolling with this:

FF - Honda Civic 1500 '83 356pp
4WD - Honda Element '03 344pp
FR - Mazda Eunos Roadster '89 365pp
MR - Toyota MR2 Spyder (6MT) '02 385pp

Edit:
Sorry guys I'm out for tonight. Work sucks.

Hey Guys. As usual I will not be there tonight:( I really want to find a night/time when I can actually race.

I have been thinking about how to make Cap racing more appealing to a wider group of people and I have had an idea.

What do you guys think about running two classes in the PP series? I know that there are some people that like running lower PP cars and find the faster cars harder to control. My thinking is that class A would continue as normal with a pp range of 1400-2000. The new class B would run from 1600-1800. Now here comes the part I think could be fun. If we broke the PP range down in to 3 groups:

1. 1801-2000
2. 1601-1800
3. 1400-1600

Then if the chosen PP was in group 1 then Class B would run 200pp less. If the PP was in group 2 both classes run the same PP. If the PP range was in group 3 Class B would actually run 200pp more. This would give them the chance to fight for the overall win while being in cars they are more likely to be able to handle.

The hope is that we could give people of different skill a better chance to come out and compete. I know this seems like a strange idea but I think it might work assuming we can attract 4-5 people that would like to be in Class B in addition to the existing Class A drivers we have.

The overall winner for the night would still get to pick the PP and the winner of the other class would choose the qualifying track.

A few examples of how the PP range would work

2000
A-450-550
B-405-495

1800
A-405-495
B-405-495

1600
A-360-440
B-405-495

1400
A-315-385
B-360-440

So for tonight Class A would run 1450 PP and Class B would run 1650 PP. I would imagine that we would want to require the PP change 200 each week to prevent us from mostly running in one range of PP.

As always this is just an idea. Any thoughts suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry to be off topic guys but holy f, GT6 car list is ridiculous.

Back on topic, I would be down to try that out Joby

I am actually a bit disappointed in the car list. seems like mostly race cars and some old iron. Not much new from the 80's 90's.

Of course we do get the 288 GTO and Lunar rover. I bet we get to drive it on the moon:)

I may need some additional explanation JobyOne :)

Sometimes I need to be treated like a child before I understand things.

The three with the most votes will replace the three tracks used the least in Oct/Nov. Everyone who has ever raced in the Performance Cap Races gets a vote. So go ahead and post in the thread and I will keep a running tab.

PP for next week will be 2000.

Also, the lowest awd car that fits regulations is at 334pp (unless someone has one that is closer to 326). I know in the past when I only ran three races, I had to subtract the lowest availiable car's pp total and not just the lowest legal number. It would make sense that FastFox440 should have to post an actual car that met regulations to count against the PP cap. If this is the case, he was well over 1450 and Kendawg should get second place.
