maybe it is because it is Monday?

I think Monday is exactly why. Monday blues, day after the official race, IDK, I just know Mondays are notoriously hit or miss. I ran C&M and for about 2 months it went strong, then it kinda trickled to just a few regulars who would show up and we would do various other things like dirty boost racing, or rally racing. Then it just kinda died altogether.

I kinda agree. I think the fact that some of our more active racers are not racing sundays backs up your observation. I might have a few recruits for when I start back up in a few weeks.

I also wonder if we should focus on a Single Night. I would love any input from people who have tried the Cap racing but have not raced in a few weeks. What would bring you back?

Well the ESCARGOT series hasn't had a post in a month. Can we switch to Thursday and Saturday? Or Monday, Thurs, Sat? ;)

Let's take over the joint ;)

I haven't been racing due to slo-pitch starting back up....it doesn't give me much time during the week to go through my cars to find a decent lineup :(

I was originally going to replace ESCARGOT with a new event, but i enjoy this cap racing so much I wouldn't mind giving up my thursday slot.

I do wonder if Thursday would be a better night. I believe it captures a bit of the appeal of ESCARGOT (more cars and freedom to choose what you drive). I wonder if leaving Mondays for Random stuff people want to do like a pickup night. Touge one week then Redneck the next and so forth. Of course I am not opposed to it running everynight;)

Test line up for Monday:

FF - Hyundai Tiburon Turbulence '99 379 pp
MR - Hommell Berlinette R/S Coupe '99 401pp
FR - Mugen S2000 '00 433pp
4WD - Ford RS200 '84 438pp

Total: 1651pp

Here is what the Kendawg garage is discussing.

Sometimes it gets confusing on the forum with what pp race is happening on a certain night. We all know it is ever Monday but some get confused on whitch Saturday it is. I like the one night every week and one night every other week. It gives me time to set up and practice my lineup.

What I was thinking about and wondering what everyone thought was:

On Thursdays (or one night during the week) What if everyone had to run the same drivetrain car at the same track.
Example:

Trail mountain - Everyone runs their FF
Monza - Everyone runs their RF
Fuji - Everyone runs their MR
Qualifying track - Everyone runs their 4WD.

The winner of the first race calls out the next track and Drivetrain and Etc. for each race after that.

I think by doing this it will make everyone pick a car pp that is closer to the mean. If the Cap pp is 1600. Then you will try to pick every car close to 400.
Just an idea I was thinking about. My be good or may not be....

Monday lineup.

FF...Civic Type R '98 398pp
MR...MRS-V 385pp
4WD...205T 414pp
FR...RX8 Type S 432pp

1629pp

Joe,

While I am sure no one will complain about you running 191 PP under Saturdays limit you might want to up your PP a bit;)

Saturday - 1820
Monday - 1655

I meant Monday :)

Editing now.

To Ken's idea...I think I still think I like it the way it is. Having a possibility of 4 different drivetrains on the track at once is still way cool. The battle at SSR5 was a prime example. I knew you and Racefan were dealing with understeer in the FF cars and I was dealing with oversteer. When you guys pushed wide I could duck under and when I got sideways you guys could go by. Different race lines etc.

Same thing happened at Suzuka when Nic and I battled all race. He had the RS200 and I had the Lutecia. Whatever advantage he had on acceleration was lost as he drifted sideways through the corners. So I could pass him in the corners and he could get me on the straights. Our fast lap times were .1 different throughout the race.

Just good fun :)
