I finished last last Monday. Do I get a +4?

If you had run all four races you would get +1. But you only ran to so you get nada;)

Now Lefty would get +1 seeing as he was the last placed finisher that ran all races. Of course seeing his times on GTA I do not think he needs a Handicap:)

I just did enough to gold...might try some tonight if I can't get on in time to run the Saturday spec race. I'm curious as to what I can do without sinking a ton of time into it.

I've got a total of about 1 hour in it. I'm like you Joe. I just wanted to get to know the track and get a gold. I can't set there and run one track over and over for hours by myself. If I'm going to do that I would rather run some endurance races with a group of guys.

It should be more of what kind of lap times you can run in 10 laps (overall) not just one lap. Don't think I've ever seen a race where they ran one lap and everyone loaded up and went home.

I guess GTA 2013 is taking up a lot of our track time. Lets not forget about Monday:)I am on call so that means I might be able to make some of the races but I will not make all of them.

I have been thinking about this some more and the problem I see with giving slower drivers more PP is that it does not give them a car that is easier to drive. In fact it can do the opposite. I would like to try using different tires as a Handicap at least one more try.

I would suggest that we give handicaps based on the results for a nights racing. If you come in last for the night you get a +1 tire handicap. This means you can run one race with a +1 tire. If you come in last another night you get another +1. The handicap will be cumulative until you finish in the top 4 for a complete nights racing. Then you will lose the tire handicap as follows

1st - 4
2nd - 3
3rd - 2
4th -1

When you are going to run a tire handicap for a race you should state this using the in game chat. Changes to the handicap ratings will only take place if 6 or more drivers are on track and you must finish every race.

I would propose that Handlebar starts with a +4 and Koszak starts with a +2.

Any thoughts?

Lets try it. We could always just re-rate all of the cars PP, I kid I kid.

Tentative lineup:
FF - Hyundai Tiburon Turbulence '99 (379PP)
FR - Mazda MX-5 VR-Limited (NA, J) '95 (368PP)
MR/RR - DeLorean S2 '04 (412PP)
4WD - Mitsubishi Evo Pajero Rally Raid '03 (438PP)

Total PP - 1597PP

I have a question btw...

I was always under the impression that winning a standard car in the game with zero miles was the same as buying it in the OCD. All they need is an oil change and they are at full power. Is this not true?

I believe they need to be broken in.

That's what I thought. I have a ton of zero miles cars that have oil changes and I thought they were good to go. I don't know which we're won and which were bought...blah...sometimes this game irritates me. Who at PD thought that breaking in cars was an important feature?

Thanks for the offer of better tires Joby, but I'm going to keep with just a 20 point pp boost. I don't want too much of a handicap.

I have had zero time to play in the last two weeks, so tonight should be interesting.

Use the cheatsheet with the PP's on it, Owens....that's what I did after finding out my Pajero needed an oil change and pushed me over the 1600 limit

And, remember that if you want to use a car but don't have it, one of us might :)

My list is made:

FWD - 1976 Golf I GTI (367pp)
AWD - Lancia Delta HF (408pp)
FR - Scion FR-S '12 (413pp)
MR - MR2 G-Ltd '97 (412pp)

Total PP- 1600

Likewise Except I am stuck working not on some beautiful beach.

Looks like it was a hard fought battle for the overall win. 2 pts separating the top 4:)

Congrats to Ken for the win and Owens for getting second. Go ahead and make your picks for next week.

I want to start practicing. Hopefully we can have a field of 9 next week.
