◆ SNAIL [GT1 Championship] Series

I'll start with the S15 Silvia to get my feet wet. I really like that car and it's pretty neutral. I have been a member with snail for a few months now and am familiar with the snail olr. When I am home tonight I'll send the fr out and buy and test my car. Hopefully I can be near up to speed for wednesday. I don't have a lot of experience with long races or pit stop strategy so for this week it'll be a live test and a learning experience.

I've been watching the thread for a while (lurking) and hemming and hawing over whether to give it a go. It looks like a fun series and a little more immersion than the stock/ spec scene so I am excited to get involved. Maybe it'll help me with my focus in the sprint length spec series too.
Yeah that just a generic message I send out. I'm using the S15 so I can give you my tune to get you started if you wish.

I'm opening a room in a few.

Note to Self - and others involved:

When exiting the Pits, at the Indy Road track, we are required to stay on the right of the solid white line ...... all the way to its end.

If I understand it correctly, only 2 tires are permitted on the left side of the line.
Not sure how much time or speed will be gained by straddling the line.

I forgot that requirement last week on both of my pit exits.

:) you're the one that started implementing the rule :) I just started enforcing it

As for time gain not much except it widens the corner so maybe higher top speed on exit? However remembering that you may merge with traffic could negate the benefits! Ah the wonders of enduro racing!

I haven't been able to complete the process of joining the club so my debut will have to be pushed back a week. I knew it was a little last minute and this could happen so I'll focus on perfecting my tune and strategy and I'll try to be up to speed for next week's race. Good luck all, excited to be a part of the action next week.

Sorry I mentioned it. Even if there wasn't a Rule, the line is there for a reason. Seems to be a logical matter.

Sorry for not seeing the FR last night. I haven't been on in awhile. But it has been accepted and invite to the club is coming soon

If you had of sent a message saying you weren't in the club yet we would have opened a public room in order to get you in the race. The more the merrier.

It is and it does. I'm in agreement the lines should be used so we are using them. It makes any possible incident involving pit road clear.

Its the same group every one else ran as the v8 supercars.Probably rename the vipers and stuff exotics or somthing if we even use them.

do we still have to do incident reports, or are we just skipping that from now on??
ugh... if you have em send em my way I will review and do my thing. lol

But seriously if you got em send em just cause scores are in doesn't mean scores can't be altered. Normally I do them wednesday night right after the race but was lazy.

I hope you guys enjoy the V8`s.I know it`s my favorite class. If you runthe semi racing exhaust they sound bad ass.

actually when coming out on cold tires and keeping within the line can be a benefit as you know you must get in slow and WOW! what a surprise at exit, smother, faster and it warms the tire!
jumping out and hitting turn one fast on cold tires is or could be a disaster.

P.S. Well done Sir! great two lap battle!
