@Kggfy
Thoroughly enjoyed our "Entire Race Battle" tonight. It was very Close - but even more Clean in our passing. Even our Pit Strategies were identical. Remarkable.
Thank you, Sir.

That was pretty cool we were together whole race, was great racing, fun battle in beginning too champ, bravo for picking hard car to drive.

After review of the replay I must say. Great job ! Big improvment from last week guys.:cheers:

I've come to the realization that my Work is more important than all of this on-line racing!
used to get on every night, I backed that down to the week-end, However; I'm now an educator and even though it's within a Professional setting, There is still Homework/National Certifications to be graded.
My set-up will allays be there, already paid for.

I'll be back!

One of the great things about our hobby is the fact that you can set it down & step back for awhile and parts don't start rusting, helmets don't go out of spec., paint doesn't fade, etc. Hope to see you back soon.

Just a break Guy's
I'll still pop in now and again!
Gotta keep that @TEX36 guy on his toe's after all!
oh  Yea:boggled:! right! Way to go you Texan Sum Beach.:gtpflag:

SPA! did I hear SPA? oh man, I may just have to do this one!

Ok, key points for this week.
#1. Track boundries
Spa is a very technical track but has alot of exits that are paved. You can make alot of time here by using some extra pavement. The biggest is Ol`rouge leading to camel straight. If you hold it flat out you are flirting with what is called "blowing the top off of ol`rouge". If you are caught using this method to make time or pass a comp. you will be subject to penalty. Although in the heat of battle it does happen quite easily in this section. If it does give the spot back or you know who is going to whack ya !
#2. Pit road
Be sure to practice pitting here. The pit exit is really strange and can catch you off gaurd spitting you into traffic. There is a technique to keeping this from happening . Hold the wheel slightly to the right and be careful not to hold the throttle to the floor or you will spin out. Drivers passing pit exit be aware that the pit exit is tricky and try to stay far left until the exit line is clear. If you are battling a competitor you may need to consider laying off until the exit line is clear. I have saw some nasty crashes here because ppl not paying attention to someone exiting pit road.

Thanks,
Chris/War

omg where did you get "blowing the to of Ol Rouge." from?!?!? :banghead:

It simply known as "blowing Eau Rouge", the driver is missing a good entry along the left side to turn into Raidillion to take you uphill with out going out of the track limits. Getting Eau Rouge entry wrong and trying to re-correct into Raidillion is where the car become a victim to centrifugal forces and ends up (in real life) in a horrible lateral shunt into the retaining wall on the left side of the track.

:idea:The left hand corner at the bottom of the hill from La Source is called Eau Rouge after the creek/stream the track crosses at the bottom of the hill.
the right hander that takes you to the blind left hand turn 3 at the top of the hill after Eau Rouge is called Raidillion.
To make a super fast lap around Spa the expert drivers will be flat out from La Source (turn one) through Eau Rouge (turns 2) and Raidillion (turns 3) and along the Kemmel straight up to Les Combes corner (highest corner on the track):D:gtplanet:

:cool:you should be more worried about the braking duels at Les Combes, as it is one of the best places to pass another car.:sly:

huh? always heard it "blowing the top " and I just added the " blowing the top off of it" cuz it sounded cool. Just like im going to blow the doors off that vette come wed. lol You get the point knuckle head keep it between the lines.;)

Actually... It's keep it between the rumble strips! As long as you keep your inside tires on the strips you are golden.

A real prick this guy.lol

oh yea, after practice #1 my best is a 2:28.649 . The car is still a little snug on exit so there is still some meat on the bone.

Here is my personal best lap from practice #2 2:27.917 . Although this was ran @ 67 degrees. I changed the temp to 55 degrees and was not able to achieve this time. BE AWARE this track is very temp sensitive. Good luck tuning gentleman . Oh yea , the track should loosen up as the race progresses.

It's just random like Daytona was. It will be hit or miss. As the track warms up the grip comes up with it.

at least the weather in Project Cars is way more predictable...
2:27 is the pace we need eh? going to be tough to match that for 30 mins before putting on the old damn mare tires.....

As ypu all know I am constantly testing new cars and bop to ensure great comp. That being said I want all drivers to know my ears are always open for suggestions about these cars. If you have any you can pm either the car chiefs (War or Scorpion) or Competition director Birdy. Your input is valuable to this series! Please understand that testing is expensive and time consuming so all ideas may not be considered.

Thanks ,
Chris\War

It doesn't include a viper.

But if I am 100% honest these cars we are currently racing are very close when tuned the same. So there is definitely a lot hanging on how well you can tune a car, which I believe is good. It pushes us to try our best
