Im going to get some Vipers out there. After all this series was made specifically for that class of car. I'll be sure to make it the ultimate class at the top of the latter.

I'm trying to figure out my connection issues as much as I can to fix what I can on my end. When I do a connection test on my PS3 it gives me results of Download speed at 20-21 mbs and Upload speed of 3.2 mbs. How is this comparing to you guys?

What is your speedtest.net results?

Mine is http://www.speedtest.net/result/5240765888.png

My PS3 is about the same. I'm hardwired to my Ps3 and computer however my modem is beside my computer and my ps3 is on a 25ft cable.

computer, but My PS3 is about the same. Your 3.2 is really bad I believe it was said a while back on the main thread that anything below 5 is bad.

On my computer the test results were Download: 66.23mbps and Upload: 4.27mbps.

Btw, computer is wireless and PS3 is hardwired. I also have a first generation PS3 if that makes a difference.

Im first gen too. No that doesn't make a difference. Your upload is crap, your download is amazing. Who is your provider and what is your package?

you need to check your ping speed to Racing Champs location/server... this will affect you more than your upload speed.
the more packets you loose the more you get disco'd, etc...

Whats RacingChamps location? and what packets?
Texas somewhere. I usually go Southeast and Southwest US when doing my speed tests. For you being in cali I would go Northeast, Southeast.

I looked at your providers internet packages and they are sneaky buggers. I would suggest phoning them and seeing if there is anything they can/will do to help fix it.

The ping is the reaction time of your connection–how fast you get a response after you've sent out a request. A fast ping means a more responsive connection, especially in applications where timing is everything (like video games). Ping is measured in milliseconds (ms).

The download speed is how fast you can pull data from the server to you. Most connections are designed to download much faster than they upload, since the majority of online activity, like loading web pages or streaming videos, consists of downloads. Download speed is measured in megabits per second (Mbps).

The upload speed is how fast you send data from you to others. Uploading is necessary for sending big files via email, or in using video-chat to talk to someone else online (since you have to send your video feed to them). Upload speed is measured in megabits per second (Mbps).

sorry i havent really raced this season. A lot has been on my plate recently, but i hope to make it this coming raceday

well now that everyone has had a chance to practice how many laps we running? how fast can you go? anyone able to match the blazing pace of 2:27's that the champ can and will run?
I can only run 20 at around 2:31's, what say you ol' overlord of speed Warmachine?? is it 20 or are you going to make us run 21 laps around the great Spa Francorchamps?

He's not running consistant 2:27's his best lap is a 2:27. His average is still probably around a 2:30 though lol

still running the modifieds right?
Yeah this is the finale for the mods then off to the V8's!

Circuit de Spa Francorchamps - The white lines that mark the pit exit lane may be crossed without penalty.?
Yes you are allowed to cross pit exit. However if contact is made with someone exiting pit road it is the fault of the lapping driver not the driver exiting pit road. All rumble strips are legal.

Just to clarify are we not using the white lines as the track limits as posted in the SNAIL Olr/rules?
15: Track Boundaries:

B:
Two wheels (except when airborne, where the vertical projection of the car onto the track counts) must be in contact with the track surface which is defined in this section.

C:
Any kind of rumble strip made of concrete, stone etc. is part of the track unless otherwise stated herein or by the Stewards / Technical Director. These rumble strips are generally painted a striped pattern. When there is any potential for confusion, a clarification will be issued by the Stewards / Technical Director as to what is considered rumble strip and what is not.

"The white line at the track edge is the track boundary unless there is a red/white striped rumble strip present or the section of track is listed here as an exception to this rule."

With in snail we have never had to stay in the white line if a rumble strip is present. As long as 2 tires are on a piece of the rumble strip at all times the line is good.

These are the OLR #2,#3 posts. You may want to look at it again so that you are not limiting yourself unnecessarily.

So then we are allowed to cut the top off the last corner or "blow 'ol rouge" as Warmachine calls it.
Seems a little strange, pretty sure that if you had penalties on you cannot cut the corner by running on the rumble strip on exit of turn 3(blind corner at the top of the hill)
Well it does explain the 2:27 pace that the speed overlord is running.

That is why we don't use the penalties in GT6. There are certain spots with Gt6 that the penalties are way out of line with the boundaries they show eau rouge is one example. Their are other spots where Snail offers up a penalty yet GT6 does not (overrunning most exit). That's why I was taking that odd line last wednesday night after the race. You know that one you thought was illegal.

If you straighten out eau rouge as much as possible you can take her at full pace.

I ran 21 laps last night with a best of 2:29.XXX. But I finished in 52 minutes so it was barely 21 laps. On the other hand I had 3 big spins, so I need to sort that out. My guess is that my front suspension is too low for that quick left right S section in the middle of the lap. Car is too dicey when I miss it and go on the curbing. So, I'll try to dial that out tonight so I have a more stable race setup. I'll probably have a lobby open tonight.

Picture 1 and 2 you got about a foot before OB the white line on the outside of the rumble before the blocks by the grass is OB.

Picture 3 and 4 and just under a car width you are allowed to have your inside tires(passenger tires) on the curb but not on the concrete strip.

As long as your inside tires stay on those rumble strips you are good (and if you want to show tire regs use an open wheel lol)

wow if were going to allow that then I need to re think my strategy. not sure about you all but this will take a few seconds off of my lap time. looks like 21 laps for sure now, going to be interesting to see when to run those crappy SM tires....

lol you are totally getting snail boundaries messed up with GTPSS boundaries.

I have amended this to try and be more clear.
