Last night the series headed back to Twin Ring Motegi this time to compete on the East Circuit.

Kicking things off we had KnockOut Qualifying (KOQ) which turned out to be very uneventful. With 10 spots up for grabs and only 7 entrants meant everyone moved on to the main event races.

Race One had @GGGMotorsport taking the lead from pole position with @CoachMK21 working his way through the field to move into second place. Pit strategy this week saw most of the lead cars going for a single stop this week as the tires from Bridgestone seemed to hold up better due to the longer straights and slower corners. Hoever when the dust settled, it was @GGGMotorsport and @CoachMK21 holding on to a 1 - 2 finish with @Parcells2 rounding out the top 3.

The start of race two went much better this week in turn 1 however we did have some mechanical issues with @Dragonwhisky having fuel pump issues on the starting line which sadly also impacted @euclid58 not seeing the stalled car on the grid until it was too late. Up front and taking the early lead, ruddy2uesday lead the field in the early races only to fall victim to fuel mileage in the later stages. @Parcells2 though back up his 3rd place finish in the first race with a convincing win in the 2nd race. Second place finisher NORML_N came back strong this week after missing the cut last week finishing 2nd while @Jayc2k also saw his best finish in the series rounding out the top 3.

This week also saw three new names make the provisional entry list for the season ending All Star Race as @CoachMK21 @Jayc2k & NORML_N as a result of their podium finishes. With only two remaining spots left, drivers could soon see themselves being bumped from the grid.

Next week the series heads to city circuit of Tokyo R246 for the final points paying race of the season. Once again, knockout qualifying will start @ 8:00pm eastern with the potential of only having 5 spots available as the top 10 and the most recent series champion are potentially locked into the field.

Thanks everyone for some great racing last night.

You forgot to mention, after that fuel pump issue, how Dragonwhisky charged from last place to mid pack, and even led several laps, both races, on a 2 stop pit strategy, and in the second race, the fuel pump stopped moving fuel altogether, mostly on account of there was no fuel in the tank to move, in turn 4 of the last lap while battling for 4th.

Gonna have to have a long talk with the crew chief, chief strategist and driver about their performances last night. Could be some heads will roll, Maranello fashion.

yeah, I be tootin' me own horn, and slappin' meself as well. 2 bloody liters away from a 4th place finish in Race 2. Thought I'd caught an OOB penalty going through T3, but noooo. Had Wardenclyffe set up nicely for a run down to T5 too. sassafraasarassamassafrass anyway.

And now, for some gratuitous trash talking; You gents better hope the #13 team doesn't get their poop in a pile next week. ;) :sly: :D

TG Drunk Dragons has a CoachMK21, and sensible support staff with his car, to make up for the scattered feces otherwise spread by his teammate. Good job both races Coach.

Wow!, just WOW!!! Never thought I could win a race with this crowd and to come through the field (albeit some of you made it easier than it should have been - thanks for that ;)) in the second race was awesome I'm not going to kid you about it, it felt great.

First race was almost more entertaining for Parcells as I decided (very last minute mind you) to stay out for the 15th lap before pitting as I was at the back of a 4-5 line of us around 9th or 10th position but came out in 5th or 6th after my pit. Then my tyres were in better shape at the end of the race when other's were dropping off quicker and gained the last couple of positions on the last 2 laps or so. Took 89 liters of fuel and with 4 laps left I really thought I might run out but with 1 lap left I was "fairly" sure I had enough but if it went just 1 more lap I definitely would have run out of gas before turn 3...yippee!!!

In fact, I'm so happy with last night's results and since I can't possibly do any better and would like to depart on a high note, Parcells is officially retiring from this series, thanks Grimm it's been awesome but I'm going out a winner while the gettins good.

Parcells is in for next week's race. I'd also like to request absentees for @coach & @Dragonwhiskey or that they both keep the same pit crew for next week's race...Parcells could win a season podium here fellas (if you two buggers don't show up) I aint goin nowhere.

I guess last night was the night I wanted to make my series debut. I will keep a closer eye on the thread (and who is participating) and see about coming out next week.

Well. Now for the bad news. I won't be racing next Wednesday. Going on another beach excursion with te family. This to to the lovely town of Corolla in the Outer Banks.

So, unfortunately this probably means my teammate and I, @Dragonwhisky won't be able to hold onto our team championship lead, barring a minor miracle. I'll also miss out on a chance to hit the podium for the season. A bit of a bummer.

@Dragonwhisky will be at next week's race.

@Parcells2 , your disclaimer was achieved with your second post up there. I dunno who you wuz tryin' ta :@: at up there, but I don't think either one o' them thar dudes races 'round these 'ere parts. That Dragonwhiskey fella don't even appear to be a GTPlanet member.

I had to actually think about spelling whisky with an e.

Well now I truly be bummed. You had given us such a comfortable cushion last night too. Reckon I'll just have to win both races then. :scared:

One down, one to go.

Dragonwhiskey, you should consider sitting out next week...isn't family time more important than this child like game?

Your wish is granted. I'm fairly certain Dragonwhiskey won't be there. Dragonwhisky on the other hand, will be. Still have to make sure the whole crew has their organically generated solid waste in a geometric equally sided shaped.

My children are grown and almost out of the house. The grandchildren will be at their father's next week. Besides all that, they all know not to mess with me while I'm entertaining the natives.

Would anyone care to help try to figure out why I was hit with false start penalties, both races? I had my foot on the brake, as the last red light came up, the motor died, the green lights came up and I was left as a stationary roadblock. I'd like to find out if it was me, the game being goofy or maybe just lag.

That same issue used to happen to me on gran turismo 5. Instead of using the brake pedal try using the Emergency brake button. I'm not sure if you have an E-brake button on your wheel but on my controller I press and hold the E-brake until all the lights go out and i have never had an issue. I do know what your referring too but it only happened to me on gran turismo 5.

Just an update posting the long term schedule for the next few seasons. I will be adding an off week that will be used for Preseason testing for each season. A couple things to note is the off weeks for Christmas Eve (12/24/14) and New Years Eve (12/31/14). The OP has been updated

Due to some late meetings at work tonight (Monday), I will not be hosting a testing room for the season 3 Challanger SRT8 Touring Car. Sorry

I plan on creating a practice room for Tokyo if there is not one to join when I log on shortly.

This will be an interesting race; mileage should be right on the bubble between one and two stops. Hopefully work will not drain me and I'll join a practice room later tonight.
