Really great races within races tonight and my first overall halfway decent showing, at the very last event of the regular season. I hope my contributions this round were enough to crush the drunk geckos in the team championship (take it from me, I'm a medical doctor, chicks dig team championships).

Geckos? Ain't no geckos can drink and drive like some dragons can.

That second race was a peach. I was either running for my life from Grimm or tryin' ta' chase him down. Probably should've pulled into the pit when he did that last time.

@CoachMK21 , I gave it my all partner. Grimm and Warden were just not to be denied. The puppy couple managed to pull down enough points to send us down the ladder. Don't think it would've mattered if I'd won both races anyway. All they had to do was score 10 more points than I did. They managed to put up 24 more which I believe will give them a 10 point lead in the Team Championship. They might be able to get chicks now. ;):P. I'm not much for feathers, so they can have my share.

I literally almost missed the first race. Fell asleep watching replays about a half hour before race time. I'd set my alarm, but apparently I didn't hear it when it went off. Sorry for the late arrival folks. Thanks for waiting a couple.

Thanks everyone for making Season 2 such a great success. I'll have the results/stats posted tomorrow night however the early numbers look great.

As for tonight, the second race was a blast for me. The various battles taking place up and down the grid was fun to watch in the replay. I was either chasing @Dragonwhisky down or tryin' ta' running for my life. Glad he didn't pull into the pit when I did that last time. Also had a heck of a time trying to keep pressure on @et_ who was low on fuel and tires as that was my only hope for win was if she ran out of fuel which she did on the final lap. I think @go6 was the only one to make the 1 stop pit strategy work for two 3rd place finishes.

Again great racing this season and I look forward to an even better Season 3.

I think I should get a prize for worst strategy:P first stint I ran out of fuel in the middle of the back straight, and the 2'nd stint I ran out coming into the fast right hander after the S curve, and in the 2'nd stint I lost 46 sec, imagine what I lost in the first stint. well above 50 sec:grumpy:

On top of that I'm an idiot who cant calculate what time it is so I miss the first race:banghead:

I was'nt gonna do the all star race, but since I messed up so bad today, I feel I have to do it to redress.

When I saw you run out of fuel the first stint I could not wait for you to run out of fuel on the second stint because if you did make it all the way then i would have never made 3rd place, just sheer luck i guess. I'm still curious how you use so much fuel? I'm on a controller and i take my thumb off the gas for half a second while I'm shifting just to let the turbo drop and jump up again, some how i was able to save enough fuel to only pit once. I'm not exactly sure how i managed 3rd place because i did no previous testing leading up to this race so I'm pretty enthusiastic about the All Star race. I just hope the next season i can use the same trick to save some fuel. I'm not finishing 1st place like ever! but if i can manage to lead 1 lap, take 1 pit stop, & finish in under 1 minute then i already feel like #1!

Probably because I brake late and get on the throttle really early. Coincidentally that is also the way to drive fast:)
Had I only done 2 stops I think I'd won it quite easily infact. But to win you have to be smart too, which I was not.

The funny thing is, had you pitted twice, Im sure we would have won and we would have raced 23 laps not 22.

I'm very amused, I'm strongly curious how you are able to pit once quick Grim and then some how calculate perfectly how much fuel you need for your last short pit stop in order reach the lead again before finishing. Kudos to you brother because although during tonight I was smart about my fuel, you are obviously still faster and much more knowledgeable about the time left to race and how much fuel you will need for that amount of time. I just give you ladies and gentlemen credit for working hard and coming out on top. My only wish is to never end up getting lapped and finish within the finish timer. So I'm going to leave the timing and fuel consumption up to you guys and continue my one pit journey lol.

This week was pretty easy actually, I know I was going to need 210 litters of fuel (did a 40 min race earlier in the week) and was able to just make it on 1 stop but was sucking on fumes at the end of each stint. Since the car has a 100 litter tank, I estimated I would need to take on 110 litters to be safe (or 55 litters each stop). Ended up taking 60 litters in the first stop as I was not sure if it was going to be 22 or 23 laps so I errored on the safe side. Once I knew it would only be 22 laps, only took on 50 litters the second stop

First of all, a big round of applause for Grim, our esteemed Series Director and newly crowned Series Champion!
As a mark of respect I'll give you a loan of my number 1 for the next series! :D

I was delighted to get a good run last night after missing a couple of this season's races and, as ever, this field of drivers were a pleasure to compete with. The race for pole alone was exciting enough and it was a close run thing with a .057 gap in Grim's favour 👍. I was on a nice flier on the second last lap, being nearly 3 tenths up at the 2nd split, but a brush against the barrier on the exit of the last turn put an end to that.

I hadn't run a full 40 minute practice and this combined with my less analytic mind compared to Grim meant I was sort of winging it regarding my fuel strategy. I was in a comfortable 2nd position not far behind Grim but I realised with just 2 or 3 laps to go that it was going to be very tight so I slowed to try and conserve enough to make it to the end but to no avail as I ran out on the final straight.

It was a fun race all the same and I consoled myself by thinking I'd have a decent starting position for race 2. Unfortunately, that didn't happen when I ended up not being able to see Erazer and had to rejoin and drop to the back of the pack. Anyway, it turned out to be another great race and particularly towards the end when Parcells, Warden and myself had a great ongoing battle. I erred on the side of caution this time and ended up carrying a bit too much fuel but at least I didn't have to worry about reaching the finish this time, unlike Parcells who was unlucky to run out just after the esses on the final lap.

Thanks again to Grim for his fine organisational skills and I'm looking forward to next season racing some super fast heavyweight machinery!

It’s a good thing all of you guys are fantastic racers else Parcells would have been really disappointed last evening. This has been an awesome season and Parcells has had a blast racing against just about everyone at one point or another.

I had a real disappointing end to the season with plain and simple stupidity. Pretty sure I threw away a podium position in both races during the final stint. Race one was sitting in third with a comfortable lead over fourth and seemed to fall asleep heading into T2…when I went to apply my brakes I said to myself “why am I only starting to brake now when I should have started about 100 meters back?”…BOOM into the wall and with Heat running out of gas I think I threw away a second place finish.

However I was racing alone at the time so the screw up provided me some great battles with some great racers so all was not lost. I think it was @JayC and @Norm whom I had fantastic battles with near the end of race 1…@Norm – you’re driving during our battle was not too aggressive, you did nothing I wouldn’t try…except maybe aggressive attacking into T1, that turn is Parcells nemesis so I try to avoid it at all cost and I’m not suggesting you did this rather if you did I’m sure it was fine, just something Parcells wouldn’t try because that turn scares the bejeezes out of Parcells, great racing!!!

Race 2 was barely half a second behind Grimm and Dragon in third place with another comfortable lead over Heat but screwed up (again all by my lonesome self) allowing Heat and Warden to catch and pass me at which point the three of us had a great battle to the end. @HEAT – no reason to apologize for our late race incident it was very fun regardless of our mishap…it’s the last lap, we’re side by side heading into the quick chicane near the end of sector 2…I was on the inside and based on the circumstances I had no intentions of backing off and I fully expected you to be thinking the same way so “let’s try side by side” through this chicane that we should never be trying but we gave it a go and almost made it work, fun stuff! I think you gave me enough room on the outside of the second part of the chicane I just didn’t pull it off??? No harm no foul. Then to top it off I ran out of gas shortly after this racing incident, falling back to 8th or 10th …DOH!!! I took exactly 2 liters less fuel than I did in race 1 so this was surprising to me (FYI…94 liters in race 1)

In summary:

1) Parcells used the same car throughout the season but just last night I realized my body rigidity was deteriorating so I “restored” it prior to the race and was allowed in the room.
2) As previously mentioned I went to bed still somewhat happy regardless of my lackluster performance but then I get on here this morning and find out I’ve been being handed a lesson in driving by a girl (@ET)…that was disappointing to hear J (no offense et, having fun here)
3) @HEAT – by now you realize why you were able to secure a third position…Parcells is an idiot, you’re welcome.
4) @grimm – Great series! If the final results has Parcells off the podium I wish to submit a formal complaint against @DragonWhiskey for arriving late. He was almost 40 seconds late and it truly threw off Parcells race preparations. I was all set to go, happy to not see Dragon and then BOOM he goes and ruins my entire night, possibly my entire series, yeah that’s right

No charge. FTFY as well.

Oh yeah, according to this;

I was 4:10 early.

 Always entertaining, Parcells!

I was sure I did leave you space but although there was no contact it was risky for both of us to try and thread our way at speed through that section. As it happens, it was Warden who benefited most from it as because I slowed to give you the position back and he gained both our positions! I wasn't sure at the time why you wouldn't speed up to pass me again and it was only when I reviewed the replay that I saw you were running on empty.

Edit: DW, as an Irish man I would always have to argue that the proper spelling is Whiskey!

I can see how you would, being Irish and all. But I prefer the Scottish distillations over the Irish, American or Canadian versions. So far as I've ever been able to tell, the spelling whiskey is derivative from the original translation of whisky.

Says so here anyway. And most every where else I've ever read about it.

I'm not going to sit here and debate you if you're going to use facts to support your argument. That's not the way Parcells rolls.:banghead:
Well, yer just no fun at all. :P

I suppose as a true Irishman I should use the original name Uisce Beatha (phoenetically pronounced Ish-ca Ba-Ha) but, either way, this is the telling statement from that document: "For exportation to America, the Irish distillers wanted to differentiate their product from the poorer Scotch whisky" ;)
