This week the series wrapped up the final point paying race at Tokyo R246 for Season 2. Below are the results from the nights activities. Thanks to everyone for coming out last night and we look forward to an even better Season 3!

I suppose as a true Irishman I should use the original name Uisce Beatha (phoenetically pronounced Ish-ca Ba-Ha) but, either way, this is the telling statement from that document: "For exportation to America, the Irish distillers wanted to differentiate their product from the poorer Scotch whisky" ;)

While that may have been true, way back in the day, it ain't true today. The spelling is still derivitave, regardless of why they decided to do it that way. So there. :P

That's true and we Irish are well used to that. Most place names in Ireland are derivative following hundreds of years of British rule. My home town is Dublin which comes from the Irish name Dubh Linn (Duv-Lin) which literally means Black Pool.

That is what I'm talking about right there!! that was awesome nice work Dragon, Brnt and whoever else who was involved and gave me a good 3 second maybe 4 sec. highlight reel! Lol. :D and that's why this is my favorite of the league!! Thanks again to all who put in the time to make it what it is and congrats Grim 4 earning that prestigious #1 plate for the next Season!!

For those that have not done it yet, be sure to send me your votes for the next season combo and your "Driver Favorite" votes per the info link. Deadline is 11:00PM Eastern tomorrow (Friday 8/15/14)

The following is the schedule of events/announcements as we wrap up Season 2 (all times listed below are Eastern)
  • Friday (8/15) - 7:00pm - Series is opened to new applications.
  • Friday (8/15) - 11:00pm - Voting closes for season 3 combo/Driver Favorite Vote.
  • Saturday(8/16) - 11:00am - Driver Favorite Vote results posted.
  • Saturday (8/16) - 2:00pm - Season 3 Combo announced.
  • Monday (8/18) - 9:00pm - Division assignments for Season 3 announced.
  • Tuesday (8/19) - 9:00pm - All Star Race practice.
  • Wednesday (8/20) - 9:00pm - Season 2 All Star Race - To be streamed live on twitch.tv thanks to @brntguy
  • Thursday (8/21) - Season 2 Final Statistics posted.
  • Friday (8/22) - Career Statistics posted.

That was really awesome @brntguy .

In case anyone has NBCSN, early in the Formula 1 season, they were using that music in their Formula 1 commercials. That entire album, CD, or whatever the cool kids are calling them these days, is some serious, get moving fast, music. Ya' really need a good stereo setup, with ample bass, to feel it good. It drives the buttkicker nuts when it plays.

Voting for Season 3 Combo is now open!

Each driver will be allowed to cast 1 vote per number of races participated in previous season.
(If you raced in all 8 races, you get 8 votes. If you raced in 1 race, you get 1 vote)
Season combo earning the most votes by 11:00pm EDT Friday 8/15/14 will be chosen for Season 3.

Only votes submitted via GTPlanet Private Message (PM) will be counted!

As with last season, we will have a "Driver Favorite Vote" for who you feel deserves to race in the season ending All Star race next week. You can vote for anyone who participated in the previous season that you feel showed good racecraft and sportsmanship. Please include your vote along with your season combo vote via PM. Winner will be announced Saturday Morning. Below are the names of drivers you can vote for:

Its up to you but basically, ask other active drivers if you want to form a team. Details are listed below with the key item being the item below in bold. Monday I will announce the Division assignments that will be used for the calculations.

Optional Team Championship
  • Open to all drivers.
  • No extra racing is required.
  • Teams consist of two drivers which divisional total must equal 6 or greater.
  • Example – D1 driver can team up with a D5 driver (1+5=6) or two D3 drivers on the same team (3+3=6).
  • Division assignments based on the following:
    • S.N.A.I.L. Drivers - Based on Sunday S.N.A.I.L. division assignments at the conclusion of the previous Wednesday Night Series Season.
    • Non S.N.A.I.L. Drivers – Based in performance during previous season (must have competed in 4 Races (two weeks) to be ranked.
  • Teams can’t change until after Wed Night Race Car Season is finished.
  • All teams must change team mates at the end of each season
  • Points awarded based on point system above.
  • Team champions qualify for All Star Race.

Hey Everyone - I have opened up the series to new applicants and currently have 4 spots available. If you know of anyone who would be interested in the series, let them know and have then sign up asap before we get to the 30 driver cap.

Take a look and be sure you understand the details on the OP and let me know what car number that is not in use by active or part time drivers that you want to use.

Hey guys. I will not be racing for quite awhile. High school is starting and I hardly touch my PS3 on the weekdays. So I don't want to make any promises that I usually can't keep. I will stick my head in and out of the forum but that is about it.
