Awesome, thanks for the spot in the league. I just hopped on my PS3 and didn't find the friend requests yet, but perhaps they're delayed a bit? Not sure, I will check again later. If there is a spot for me in the entry level division for this Sunday's heats, count me in. I'm currently breaking in the cars, and could be ready to go by then, if space is avail. If so, if you could guide me as to how to find the room when it's ready, I'd appreciate that. I may have read it somewhere between all of these posts, but I'm on info overload ATM. Thanks!

It's OK for you to send request to the SnailDivision? PSN's mentioned previously - and can likely speed things along for Zero. He's pretty good at logging in/rolling through invites and keeping it all moving quickly and smoothly... but if that's not working, he's also pretty handy at sending 'em out as well.

Welcome aboard!

Zer05ive- my PSN Id is: SeattleTyler. I would like to join this league.

Background: I am a long time sim racer, with experience on Iracing (Mazda cup), rfactor, gtr, and the like. I race with a t500rs and th8 shifter. I am a mediocre racer, at best, but I respect all drivers and never quit out of a race, once begun. I should be online tonight to accept a friend request, if you get to it. Thanks for the time, hope to see you guys on the track!

Hey Tyler!

I'll add you to the drivers list you'll be starting in the Division 3 group for this Sundays league race.

PSN friend requests will be sent to you from SNAIL_Division1, SNAIL_Division2 and SNAIL_Division3. Their lounges are where we race Sunday night and hold our various events. Here's a breakdown of the ways we use the different lounges.

During the week we run a number of different events feel free to jump in and partake!

The original post also has a lot of information regarding the league, have a browse through it.

Welcome aboard and enjoy :)

Hey guys

Does anyone want to take over hosting duties for Wednesday night practice? I am out again this week and that makes it 3 straight weeks so I don't think I am right for the position.

Also, I am giving my notice that I will be out this Sunday.

Thanks for the notice doughboy, appreciated.

My wednesday nights are usually free, I might be able to take it over, but not until the 25th.

No problem.

I wonder how long it will be before I have to redo Monday Mayhem. I imagine it's starting to look a little bland now.

Dude, those banners rock big time!

Thanks for taking the time to work with the event coordinators and put them together. A real nice touch for the league 👍

Hmm, that's odd. I send all three friend requests to you at about 11:30am Pacific time. I'm also logged into one of the three accounts right now and it says that TylerGiese is "Pending response to your Friend request". Is there any chance I got your PSN ID wrong?

I am not sure I can keep going here. At one point I thought I had a clue, and each lap seems to add to my embarassment. :-(

I will probably try a few more times, but I'm mostly frustrated that I don't seem to really be improving.

'TylerGiese' is my old psn I'd. The one I use now is 'SeattleTyler'. Sorry about the mixup!

Updated M3 GTR Race Car Challenge post with lap numbers for Daytona Road Course, Suzuka, and Fuji. Should be able to get the rest up in the next few days.

Dude, don't give up!! I stink but I am determined to be up there in the fight sooner or later. Tough week for me but I plan to try the tutoring sessions when I am free. In the mean time what I have been doing is setting up the proper race scenario in practice mode and racing my ghost. I have improved some of my lap times but more important, it keeps offline practice fun and interesting! I lined up last Sunday with some of the Div1 lot and all I could do was either giggle or just drool on my shirt.... (Them folks are animals!!) Point being, although I had no hope, I really had fun that night!! :gtpflag:

Hello everyone i would like to join this club

just one question what do you mean with "Step 4: Break-in your cars (you can use your B-spec drivers) and then get an oil change on each car."

cheers

Nah, I'm not quitting. I'm just trying to balance the desire to improve with the 'real life cost' of what it will probably take to not stink, at least, time-wise.

Certainly, the best way to improve is to keep trying, I know. :)

Be careful. Offline Practice mode is like racing with one or two classes of better tires. You may get used to taking corners at speeds that you simply can't online.

Though, I guess you could adjust your tires accordingly to make offline more like online.

just one question what do you mean with "Step 4: Break-in your cars (you can use your B-spec drivers) and then get an oil change on each car."

It just means you take each of the SNAIL cars and enter them, with four B-Spec drivers, into one of the endurance races. I think the first race is 180 miles and the second one is 200 miles, and both are open to any car. Either of those should set you up nicely.

its the third race you want in the b-spec endurance races. 200 miles of laguna seca I believe. let your bobs run the car over night or while at work. Then goto gtauto and get an oil change. Its good for about a 30pp boost to the car, more or less depending on the car. To be competitive you will want to do this.

well, in Division 1, we are running 10 seconds faster per lap.

For once Im running times closes to the d1 leaders! Probably because for once I can reliably control me car, G27 Rocks!! Sorry, been a couple of days.
I was running the evora/cote combo for a few last night, and these two go well together. The evora is a bit better I think then the other lotus cars, and seems fairly neutral, if just a touch nose heavy. But some cars just feel huge on this track, espcially in the chicane after the tunnel, and turn 19 before the straight.

Go compare the curb weights between the Evora and the Elise and you'll see why.

I noticed a lack of shenanigans on Wednesday so in Division 3 Lounge i will be hosting a new event. As this is the first time, I am doing this open to suggestion, and am willing to change things if needed. Same start time 10 pm edt

Goat, did you do host this event last night or will you be starting this next week?

Sorry, yes, it is the first and third events. The second one is limited to MX-5s.

Hey GTPAguilar,

Which country do you live in? We're a very lag aware league and have been limiting our membership to North American drivers.

Thanks,

kcheeb

Firstly, ^^ my question as well.

Secondly, cmbeal...are you opposed to drivers running who cannot commit to the full session of 8 races? I would like to join up, but know there are two occurrences I'll be out of town.

Thirdly, a director is needed for Division 1 on Sunday April 29th as I'll be out of town. I don't want to assume a particular driver will be there, but in case say Cheeb cannot direct, we'll need someone with access to the spreadsheets to keep drivers apprised of standings, to track voting and to save replays.
