There are some pretty decent lakes around, and I actually live about a mile from one of the better ones in the state. But when I've got a pond a few hundred feet out my back door and on my land, I've got little reason to go there. Especially when floating about in a tiny boat, listening to the birds sing, watching the water ripple, and occasionally having a good fight with a five pound largemouth is right there waiting for me.

I'll save the speed for GT5, for now. ;)

Apmaddock, I am up for adoption. :D

last year I caught a 27 inch Pike in ST Lawrence river. how to top it this year?
Hope to get some trout fishing in this week!:)

Hmm. I don't know. Do you have any qualities that would make you a good candidate for adoption?

Oh yeah!

I'll talk to my wife.

Who wants to bet that her biggest issue would be the increase in time spent playing GT5 and/or the room in our house for two driving setups?

Speaking of, does anyone have any interest in running a "feature length" race on the regular? An hour and a half race using the newest track/car combo.

Yes!

Just... not sure when I'd be able to. :(

Remember when that time I said I cant fish cause of my ADD, yeah. an hour and a half race is kinda the same. In real life, easy peasy. But on here, not like this.

Hey garris, I got the car broken in and it's sitting safely in my garage.

Just let me know when you're PS3 is happy again, and I'll friend you and send it to you.

I'm interested, but it would depend on when you wanted to run it.

Yeah, that's the issue. Any thoughts?

Yeah, but I probably shouldn't share them here :)

Ba dum dum.

Without conflicting with any currently running events, Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon are open.

Sunday afternoon would probably have weak attendance since we have the league race that evening.

Which leaves Saturday afternoon or running at the same time as a current event.

I can attend on most Saturday afternoons.

Psycho, if the adoption thing doesn't work out, I say we just make a road trip from Texas up to Ap's pond. I'll bring my roboworms and my custom drop shot rig and before long my scale will read zer05ive pounds!! :D

Surely you've got more lunkers in Texas than we have here. The length of the season for the fish to eat and grow down there is a lot longer than it is here.

Regarding a regularly scheduled

I'd be all for it.

Weekends are terrible for me, though. Ideal time would be about an hour after our regular start time, any day Monday-Thursday. I've oft-considered running such starting right after Wednesday practice ends, but lately the schedule for that has been kinda wonky, leaving that time to be anywhere between 11:00 and 12:00 EDT.

I'll pick you up on the way! I actually like the zipper worm with a rattling bullet weight screwed into it. It floats down so slowly and gracefully. I lived in Oklahoma for a few years and started bass fishing there. I love it! BTW, If I use your scale and it reads zer05ix for my bass will you get mad?

Yes, we have lots of excellent bass fishing. Here in South Texas the growing season is year round I would imagine. But, after living in Oklahoma I like having 4 seasons.

We have four seasons here in North Carolina: Winter, Spring, Hawt, and Hurricane. Mind you, we've been missing the rain and hurricanes, so we are technically in a drought.

OK so when and where is the fishing trip. I'm down. Upstate New York is fishing heaven. My "backyard" pond is Lake Ontario and the Finger lakes!

Screw it. Let's take the fishing trip to Cheeb's "backyard." I'd love to put some Walleye in the freezer.

(Maybe he's too far west, I don't really know.)

…just make sure I'm home by Sunday night.

come on up, I hear the fishin' is great in these parts ...

I even know a few people who've been known to throw a fly or two on the water!

at a minimum I can make sure the bubbly, frothy, golden beverages are cold ;)

I dont do that practice thing so much. Tonight is roller derby and/either/or cat and mouse.

Oh hell yeah, South Texas is famous for lunkers! For years I wanted to make a pilgrimage to Falcon Lake for exactly that reason. That is, until it got dangerous (and that was before it was the front lines of the drug war)!!
