ANNOUNCEMENT

SNAIL Spec Racing will be moving to Club Lobby type room setup soon. We are working club membership in phases. Phase I, where all Sunday and Practice hosts are invited, is now in progress and nearing completion (64% complete actually). Once all hosts have joined and are comfortable with setting up rooms in the Community and Club interface, we'll begin Phase II. This will be the invitation to every active driver, full and part time, as shown in the Driver's List. Phase III will be the production testing/full implementation where we get to fully beat up on GT6's new community feature and see if it's capable of handling a SNAIL Sunday night.

A note on invitations. Not sure if invites through the in game interface will do the same but, the web site interface will not send an invite unless the PSN ID is exactly letter perfect and is case sensitive. Up to now, I've been using the GTP Avatar information to get PSN IDs, if that fails, I fall back on driver's SNAIL records. If that fails I've had to make contact directly to determine what characters of the PSN ID are not shown correctly in either place. For the sake of brevity, please check your PSN ID information, if you've included it, in your GTP Profile and ensure it's letter perfect accurate. Also, check the Driver's List to make sure your PSN ID is letter perfect there as well and if not, PM JLBowler or myself with the correct PSN ID so one of us can get your record updated.

If anyone else is having problems sending invites to certain PSN IDs and getting the message below, chances are the PSN ID they are entering is missing a capital letter or other character.
"We're sorry, but due to the user's status you are unable to send this invitation."

Thank you.

Impressive.. Are your reading/writing skills comparable to your verbal skills? For example, can take something in English and type or write it in Japanese?
My reading/ writing skills better than my verbal skills LOL. Translation shouldn't be a problem for the majority of it I would expect.

Not sure if this is potentially part of the issue. You have to click the box to send/receive messages from non-friends?
---------------------------------------------------
Messaging with Non-Friends
Choose whether or not to allow the exchanging of messages with players who are not on your friends list. If the box is checked, the messaging button will be added to the right of your public profile. If it is unchecked, you will not be able to send messages to non-friends.

That can be an issue on both ends. If the owner account doesn't have that option set it will cause the same error message to occur.

I miss SNAIL! What can I say ❤

Hope to see ya in D1 sometime soon! I'll be a tiny spec in your mirror, but I'll be there, lol.

Really glad I skipped out on Saturday practice... What. A. Comeback. @Falango Guess who's ahead of the Canucks?? :P

You've played 2 more games than us! Keep that seat warm up there for us will ya? :P
I actually went to the game against the Ducks on Thursday, Kesler got boo'd REAL BAD in the shootout. Glad we got one point considering our start. Went to the open practice today, and Kassian was firing pucks at watermelons after for some sort of video shoot. Was fun to watch!

So these phases will occur over the next few weeks I assume? Tonight will run as usual so no club invite necessary yet?

Correct. No changes for tonight. However, it is the goal to begin using the Club Lobby feature the first race week in the December Season. If we can get all the hosts joined up this afternoon, Phase 2 could begin today. Everybody might want to make sure they have at least one Club slot open. You're only allowed to join 8 clubs.

The driver's list has been updated and is ready for racing tonight. All drivers that submitted a time trial or contacted me to return to active status have been placed in a division and received a message. The part time drivers are listed in order of priority.

I also have a question about the Buttkicker points. I have raced in every race since the first week in October but it only shows I have 12 points. Was I not eligible because I was new?

I read the rules and it doesn't mention new drivers not being eligible...it just says everyone who competes without a disconnect or incidents.

I don't expect to win but I was hoping to be eligible :)

You have 34 points. You have to look at the tab named "SNAIL challenge totals". If that is not right, let me know and I will take a look at the results sheets that it pulls from.

Ok cool. It shows some people have 42 pts. Were there other races that I missed?

I posted a picture of the new F1 world champion a little too early :sly:

Rednose, I think the beemer will stay. Its an heavy car but breaks very well and has an enormous exiting power and the tracks suits it very well.
I believe people might be tired of the Aston Martin and vote it off as the Datsun had a blown of fresh air with the very fast Rome Circuit that everyone is apparently loving it due to the fact that is also a simple track, requiring simple straight forward driving and gives everyone, as long they don't hit walls in that particular chicane, the chance to beat faster drivers.
Only in Rome I can manage to start 4th, pass Nuno and Kg and grab a 2nd position because turnuprheheat was long gone.

I completely agree. Unfortunately the standard version is 100kg lighter so that helps. It's still over 1700kg though...

Its because of the 2008 economic crisis... lots of bankers locked themselves in their M5 trunks to avoid any other kind of punishment. That explain the 100 Kilos more because they were also really fat!

Nice to see you again Young LLoydZ... ill see you on the track as soon as i get home!

So what's shaking tonight? Got most of the rig done, just a few things left, but I'll need to hit up a Lowe's for that. So in the mean time I have it up in its new home waiting for me to give it a go. Cat and mouse anyone?

Stick your sub under or behind your seat. Almost a buttkicker.
