Would it be possible for me to join you for the pack racing tomorrow night and the touring car series on Tuesday night? I'm currently home for the holidays but will be heading back to school soon so I wouldn't be able to become a full-time member... However i'd love to have people to race with on those 2 nights :)

Don't let the door hit you on the way out. And just to make sure it doesn't, you've been banned from this thread for a week. Please note that this doesn't mean that we want you to return after a week, because we don't. Hopefully, we won't see you or your implied racism on this thread ever again.

Hog is on point with his advice. There definitely is room in Touring Car Tuesdays. I'm not affiliated with the Pack Racing Monday series but do know there are good people running that show and nary a bad word has been heard from any participant. Just post your interest in both threads and folks will welcome you into the fold.

Alex send me a fr and I'll get you an invite ASAP. There is always room with the Pack..we will open second rooms as necessary.
Racing tomorrow night. Bring a 1989 Eunos (na) and change the oil!

Hey all.

I wont be racing for a while. Broke my left femur snowboarding, so I'll be recovering for quite a while. Not sure what steps will need to be taken here for me while I'm out of commission.

See you guys back on track soon! (I hope)
Dang that sucks to hear, but how did you break your femur? That's not exactly a common snowboarding injury. Did you slam into a tree or a jib/rail or something? :nervous:

Ya it's not an easy bone to break. I hit this drop after my friend and I scouted it, and it seemed fine. About a 12ft drop or so, landed fine, bit whrn I turned to speed check, I went over a small rock that sent me off balance. As i recovered from that, it sent me off in a different direction, and I slammed into a rock the size of a small car, probably doing 40-50 kmh. Huge impact, but luckily no other damage.

@Falango sucks to hear man, hope the recovery is quick! What mountain were you riding?

Edit: Sorry @Lessen, no jokes here

I was on Big White.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I had a skiing accident that wrecked my right arm once. Still don't have full use of it to this day. Your incident gives me flashbacks. The whole out of shape body part, the burning sensation, the waiting for ski patrol, and riding on the back of the snowmobile. Then a two hour car ride to a hospital to have an orthopedic surgeon set it. It was all crazy. Hope all goes well and you're feeling better.

Mine was similar. Took somewhere around 3 hours to get off the mountain. The shivering made the pain worse from all the movement. I didnt get decent pain meds til I got to the ambulance. Has to sit in the snow for 20 minutes add I sent my friend to get help. I waited first though to make sure I didn't go unconscious our into shock.

I'm doing some testing for the new Tuesday Night Touring Car Series? Would you be interested in that? TNTCS. We're explosive hehe

I'm not sure about committing to the TNTCS. That said, has anyone thought about having a night be dedicated for Cat and Mouse? It's a nice little twist from just the regular racing we always do each week.

I'm opening a room now that will run our combos as well as '71 and older American Muscle. The 5 cars are '70 Suberbird, '71 Cuda 440 Six Pack, '69 Vette, '69 Z28, and '63 Vette. Just throwing that out there if interested.

@Rallywagon has started a Tuesday group for Cat & Mouse - but it's not an official SNAIL event - there is a Tuesday touring car event the same evening that is SNAIL affiliated.

The Cat & Mouse groups is at: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/kawerks-motor-club-presents-tuesday-night-cat-mouse.321438/

How Can I Join The Next Competition/Races?

@Ecomine

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the SNAIL OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. SNAIL Administrators will reach out to you via a GT Planet conversation with further instructions on joining the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game. To find your assigned room on Sunday please follow the steps below:
  1. Go to Community, from the GT6 My Home screen.
  2. Select Clubs
  3. Select SNAIL [Spec] Racing
  4. Select Club Lobby (on left) not Club Events
  5. Find your division room #, select it and join.
5. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.

6. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.
If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

Just wanted to say thank you to all those who dropped in to race some American Muscle!! Was fun, and by the way, add the Super Bee 426 Hemi to the collection. It tops out at 130 and handles great. The brakes are incredible and downshifts very smooth with no disruption to the car. Thanks again guys!

Wow, slamming into a car-sized rock sounds painful. Just be glad you came away with just a broken bone and nothing more serious (like that happened to Schumacher :().

Thinking back to it, I do feel lucky. If I had hit it with my board pointing downhill, my left arm and head would have taken all of the impact.

Hope to get back on track soon. Since its my left leg, I might switch back to right foot braking so I can at least get on track, but not Sundsy night races since I'd likely be a hazard at the time!
