PS3 Woes!
I'm getting worried that my PS3 is possibly dying and I don't want to lose my game data. Two times in the last day and a half the system has essentially frozen, then told me it had to fully restore everything (warns that it can take 2-3 hours, takes about 20 minutes for me, so far).
GT5 is about 50/50 on successfully loading. Getting any reaction from controllers is frustrating and seems to have huge lag problems.
Once I have the machine reset (again!), I'm going to backup all my saved data. There are 3 accounts on the machine - the 'home' one, my son's account, and my GT account (Handlebar-Man).
* Do I need to use 3 different memory sticks/data cards to back up all the game data, or can I use my backup 2 terabyte external drive for all 3 accounts?
* Any suggestions on what I can do to help the PS3? Sony's site talks about deleting games or data, resetting some of the system, or rebooting the system. If anyone has suggestions or experience on how to solve this problem, I'm all ears.
I'd love to get some laps in, but at this point, I want to make sure I don't lose all my account data.
