1/64 Buick Roadmaster model
What have I done???
Edit: has there ever been a 510 with an engine and openable hood?

What I saw in Japan
if you followed any of that.
F-Toys version's bit crappy.Aw, the Isuzu isn't that bad... I like old Bellets (?)! Calling it crap is a bit harsh...
Balancing cost is critical. I couldn't live with those headlights on such a fine casting, but Auto World apparently are comfortable with them. *shrug*Well, judging by the wagon in your last quoted post below, plastic castings are certainly possible for Auto World. Why didn't they use them, that's another question... Budget cuts? Budget allocation to other car lines?
I'd be interested in a minicar version of that, too.does anyone here know about the existence of a good 1/64 Buick Roadmaster model? I know bigger ones exist, but those cost an arm and a leg and I can't afford that right now...
If you don't have one of those, that would be a hard one to say "no" to.What have I done???
Ah, okay. I'm sure you are right, I know nothing about them.I think it's less a case of open vs. closed than it is 2 differently equipped cars. IRL hidden headlights were an option, and the vast majority didn't have them.
I don't care about the hood(answer to your question I believe is "no"), but this casting looks good.I see cup noodles and hot dogs on the menu for the next couple of weeks

F-Toys version's bit crappy.
You and me both. That would be sweet.
F-Toys version's bit crappy.
Nah, it's a Bellett. I'm sure it's absolutely perfect!

Right? Greenlight could pull it off, I reckon; after all,
Yeah, I think GL are the best bet. Especially now they have the rights to do vehicles from The Walking Dead. It's a long short because it only appeared briefly in one episode but hey, we can dream right?
To me, this is one of the coolest cars you've ever posted. 👍Kyosho 1:64 - Aston Martin DB5
Let me tell you how that green Dodge Viper & F-Toys Isuzu Bellet got selected for the diorama role: They look #$%*@! up. From certain angle(s). Therefore, I didn't care if they got dusty or bumped around once in awhile.Nah, it's a Bellett. I'm sure it's absolutely perfect!
Still, s'a good car, no? Crappy casting or not... I have a guy who would agree with me;
He's a Isuzu Bellett fangoat though. He'll be the first to admit that.See? He knows...
No Hugo, that's not true at all. We are the collectors. It is our job, our duty, our mission to ignorantly whine & complain about cars brands fail to deliver in exactly the way we wanted to see them delivered. It's the best(Regular Car Review: Miata).but I do not know how Auto World manages their budget so I won't dare to claim things I don't have any experience in.
Me & Jarrod will buy one each, so I can guarantee that they will sell at least three. We talk about the Caprice wagon all the time, and yes, we are fan of all of them(was the other one Oldsmobile?). 👍Another party approves! There must be demand for this, I bet my baseball caps on it...
I think that comment was made in regards to Gulf Porsche by Hot Wheels.Well it can be easy, especially when most larger-sized models are either DIY resin kits (and I am not a build-it-yourself type person, I can tell you that much ) or models for the sedan (like Dutch company GLM's own model). There's a surprising shortage of already-built Buick Roadmaster wagon scale models, almost all of them focus on the old 1960's coupe... Nothing wrong against that mind you, but where's the love for the 'Vette-powered Lazy Susan Wagon?
I was trying to remember why we were discussing this car in the first place. That's right. Walking Dead. 👍Yeah, I think GL are the best bet. I think it's the same car he mentioned in another video before. In it, he didn't tell us about the car, but it was explained how he was using it as a stand. Blister/card stand is no joke. It's bit tricky, as different manufacturers & series cards position blisters at different heights. I'm lazy so when I need one, you see me using bottle caps, pocket knife, etc. What's with the 3D printed Toyota FT-1 ?
It looks like it's sporting Matchbox wheels.
Still prefer the stock paint they had I think in blue, also red, but this one I think we all kind of liked also. 👍Completely forgot I got this yesterday as well (it was thrown in for free along with a '73 Celica and Datsun truck cuz I got the Gulf Porsche)
...no, it must happen. 💡

I do like them from their current angles though, so I use them in the background.

This car was driven by Stirling Moss in 1968 over the 750km of the Autostrada A1 in Italy, connecting Milan to Napoli. The car achieved an average speed of 124.44 km/h, which was quite fast for a kei car at the time. It was accompagnied by a yellow Fronte driven by Mitsuo Itoh.

I'll post the Tomica van later, for some reason the pics wouldn't work when I was putting this post together.
Yeah knew it was coming.Hey @R1600Turbo you were mentioned on the Lamley Group blog 👍
That's what she said.Yeah knew it was coming.
Dat Suzuki doe!
I can certainly see why Shinji-san loves the TLV Fronte. 👍
Shinji-san didn't even know who Stirling Moss is!
That's actually my first Fronte. Slick little casting, very impressed with it.
Shinji-san didn't even know who Stirling Moss is! Yeah though, he was totally right about the Fronte.

Yeah, those are great sets of cars, no doubt about it, there's a little bit of everything for all kinds of collectors. Fantasy castings, real-life cars, racing vehicles... It can be a crapshoot, but this time Mattel nailed it. I love the Castrol colors on the Escort (overplayed or not, they work), and the Odyssey is everything I wanted and more. And after knowing that its livery is actually based on a real-life racing Honda City, I can only love it more than ever. A racing Honda Odyssey, likeable? You bet your bonnet on that!
