ah, I want the 1972 Charger.
Ok people, Im gonna show you a very, very VERY special piece that just landed in my dirty paws. It is an extremely, extremely, extremely rare, rare as in only-4-known-in-this-colour-in-the-world rare 1969 Hot Wheels Swingin' Wing redline MADE IN MEXICO BY CIPSA PLASTICOS S.A.
If you are a REALLY REALLY hardcore HWs collector then you may know that some HWs redlines were made out of US and HK, some in Italy, some in India, and some in Mexico. these mexican oddities are known as Cipsas because of the company that manufactured them, and they feature characteristics that are unique to their "homeland", such as WEIRD colours of paint, interior, glass, and even metallic red lines in the tires. They are incredibly rare (there are about 100 known in the world today) and of course incredibly expensive. Yet over here you can still find such stuff in... heh, flea markets.
So I'm doin' my usual walk in one and it IMMEDIATELY hits me in the face. Redline in weird colour = CIPSA. I just about fell on myself to grab it before someone else does. I check it and double check it. Yes, Cipsa indeed. White interior, check. Gray glass, check. Badly spun rivets, check. "How much?" -"Eh, give me ten pesos"... which ammounts to ALMOST a dollar. And I found it in such a good condition.
I already had her "confirmed" by the guys in the know, and one of them (who holds one of the largest CIPSA collections in the world) tells me that mine is number three or four, someting along those lines. He offers me 450 dollars for it but mah, I'm gonna keep it.
So, without further addo, here goes the most valuable and rare piece in my collection... and arguably, the ugliest one of them all. Oh well. I'll just have to get used to it.
here are the trademark Cipsa low-quality rivets:
And here, the trademark Cipsa windows and white interior:
The car is missing it's articulated wing, as all other CIPSA Swingin' Wings. If I had found it with it's original wing it would have been one of the rarest HWs in the entire world.
At least it still has the pull-out engine.

so, there we go, another big strike of luck and I'm the owner of an incredibly rare piece. Yeah, it could happen to you, too.
