Sounds intruigung; could be interesting and frustrating in equal measures. On which page is it referred to?

the last page

cost 1500CR to play.
they were saying that like a track day, everyone drives at a different pace, there could be faster cars coming up behind u and also some slower cars in ur way. and have a feeling of racing when praticing driving the car on the track.

there is still free run mode.

i love the idea of the track day sessions....

yeah this track day option sounds pretty sweet. It'll fill my need to dik around and get in some racing when I feel like it. I hope there's a wide variety of cars driving around though...

What exactly do the American manufacturers list say?

Plymouth -> ?????? -> DMC
Pontiac -> Chrysler? -> Eagle
Saleen -> ?????? -> ??????
I'm no expert at this, but doesn't the lower right logo share many similarities to the logo by which the Solstice and Cien were presented with in GT Concept? They were presented as GM Designs, not as Pontiac/Cadillac.

The upper blue one is as much a question to me as the upper blue one seen in the overview for the japanese makes. Which make is that, actually?

About the track day, it would be nice having 20+ Euro cars AI on nurburgring
and that will look like real life ....

Except the 2nd row, left is definately Pontiac and I know we've seen the Cadillac logo in other screens. On second look, the very middle logo is definately Buick. And the bottom middle one is Callaway:

Also notice on the Japanese list, that Polyphony is listed as a manufacturer.

I hope they didn't bother making a fantasycar.... :yuck:
That would be unrealistic in my eyes.

My guess is the Nike car would be listed under there, or F1 cars if they're included like they were in GT3.

They may not necessarily be for sale, they could be there just to be shown. Remember that some LM Editions and stuff in GT3 were shown in the dealership, but not able to be bought.

But then they would be for sale. I guess we wil see in a few months.
In GT3 you couldnt buy any of the F1's you had to win them. So if there will be fantasty cars then they will most likely have to be won by doing a race series.

I hope you are right.
No, it's what ADBAN said. Over time your chassis will wear out. You'll have to buy a new one to improve your car's handling and stability. I read about this in an issue of PSM over a year ago. But, since they offer a new chassis, with add on roll cage, I don't see why PD wont offer a race body to go with it.

The race mod in GT2 offered reduced weight, roll cage, race chassis and spoilers. That's why it cost so much. Now, it appears PD is offering everything in that race mod as a seperate part to purchase. I like that idea better, so long we can buy a race body with decals and numbers.

Well what they should do with SRT and SVT is like you go into Ford, then like in GT2, the SVT will be in the Special vehicles section.
same with SRT for Dodge and Chrysler and RT for dodge.
Yeah I know they are technically trim levels, but some are big jumps over their siblings.....
Ie:
2004 Mach 1 Mustang: 305 hp solid rear axle
2004 SVT Cobra Mustang: 390 hp IRS, supercharged...
big difference...

If only I hadn't have been knocked out (sleeping), I'd talk about this deal myself. As I was saying in the past, it looks like we're getting our racing modifications back, but in a new and unique way. PD is kind of going the route of the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series in the way of aero kits, body work (rollcage and light weight), and that sort of thing. I'm also pretty sure this deal will be about functionality as well.

If this also applies to race cars, this sounds more like something that probably could have been in GT Auto than this listing. Tuning should be bigger and better in this generation of GT4. To the one providing the scans, keep up the good work, folks! I know that my Christmas tree isn't going to see Gran Turismo 4, so the scans and news updates will be all I'll need to stay happy this Hoilday season. So keep it up!

track day would be great... if the other cars were driven by humans instead of AI.

That would be unrealistic in my eyes.

fantasy cars are fine, their main focus is still real cars, but fantasy cars along with them are fine, as long as they drive realistic, whats the problem?

same with tracks, i preffer real tracks, but fantasy courses are great too as an addon.

with the power of the PS3 i could think of some pretty neat fantasy tracks for GT5, like a track that's over the sea, with tunnels that lead underwater, all of course. that with REALISTIC physics would be great, just think about it, they could build tracks that are too expensive to build in real life. ^_^

So wait... you want GT cars and levels of realism, with MarioKart levels? Let's add weapons, too.

In that case I hope the cars get bonnet clips

and I also hope you can change the color of the car (remember the pink yaris :scared: )

I just thought of something...Could we see some kind of damage modelling, in terms of body wear? I don't mean quite like GT2, but could rough driving, hitting walls & stuff, make the body wear out faster than clean driving? That would be fantastic!

mario kart levels? i never asked for unrealistic levels, i asked for "too expensive" to build tracks.
how much would it cost to build a track in the middle of the sea? ^_^

i'm sorry, but i'm no arcade fan, don't get me confused with that.

I agree. PD could categorize them as "Fantasy Tracks". I'm imagining something similar to the aquarium track in Sega's awesome Model 3 "Scud Race" (Super GT to Americans...). I'm still ticked off that Sega didn't port it to Dreamcast (but that's a whole different topic on a different message board.. :crazy: ).

The track layout would be "normal", just the location/scenery would be "fantastic"...
e.g. how about racing (electric vehicles; think about it) on the Nurbugring track, but located on the moon (just imagine those jumps with 1/6th the gravity....).

Anyways, back to reality...
