2011 Australian Grand Prix

HRT are hopeless. It wouldn't surprise me if they don't qualify for a single race this season.

...or if things really don't go their way, run out of funds as a result of failing to qualify for the races. Then they'd have to pull out. :(

Looks like tyre temps are doing Alonso and Massa in. But its good to see Merc pacy again 👍

On my way out for the afternoon, but... Nick, Nick, wherefore art thou, Nick!?! Poor show, my boy.

Damn! Kobayashi got real sideways that lap.

HRT obviously isn't doing well, but Liuzzi is much faster than Karthikeyan.

I think Sauber's new car has been built around Kobayashi's aggressive driving style. Perez has probably learned from this and decided to follow him which is why he's doing so well too. Let's hope the reliability isn't quite as appalling as it was at the beginning of last season...

What is up with Massa? I don't think he's completely recovered from his accident in Hungary. Hockenheim last year didn't help either.

I hope I don't lose out too much picking him for the fantasy race.

Didn't know that, just saw him and Perez in 3rd and 4th(at the time), thanks for the info.👍

Anyways, what's up with Massa?

I seriously suspect he hasn't been 'himself' since recovering from that accident in '09 at Monza, then add to the fact that Alonso is essentially getting the royal treatment and he's facing quite the dilemma.

Wait, it was Hungary? I swear it was Monza....

Rubens... meet the gravel and you stay there boy!! Stay boy! Kinky Kylie?! I heard that.....

Vettel seems to have it in the bag :indiff:

Nice work Sauber though - mixing it with Alonso for position on the grid.

No, no, you should be asking this..... Kinky Kylie? Seriously?

EDIT: No, Rubens. Just no.

I like the convo about that.

I think it's a safe bet that there aren't any families up at 2AM watching the F1 qualifying.

Sutil had a scary moment there...on the kerb, he hit the DRS and he lost all the grip...and he still kept it out of the wall. :scared:

And yes, facepalm for Rubens.

Right!?

Bob's saying "I'm sure families are up somewhere." Where, Bob? Where? :P

Anyone know why Petrov isn't setting a Q2 time?

edit: Nevermind. The graphic on-screen showed a checkered flag next to PET instead of BAR.
