Damn, I felt Schumacher had a fast lap on to at least get 2nd or 3rd... backed off... did he get blocked?

The RB8 looks like the car to beat now. Hopefully we'll see a comeback from the Macs (especially Button) tomorrow.

... did he get blocked?

It seems to me like a Ferrari in front of him got away in time but if he knew that the lap was ruined, why backed off a corner later? I don't think he got blocked, probably distracted but not blocked.

Anyway, the RB8 seems to look like an all-rounder. Not all that fast on straight but they gained a lot I think from the corners.

Yes, got the top 3 prediction right.:)

RedBull have yet to win in Canada so they say, so this could be the weekend they do.

Well not the weekend I wanted to see from Williams. I think that new rear wing helps but the drivers need to be really careful. Just not their weekend, also hoped Sauber could do something but nothing as far a quali goes.

Yeah, not sure... he did have his hand up... I wonder if he was going for pole, and the Ferrari slowed him down a bit, then when he got the message that he could get it, he decided to back off? I dunno... I think 8th to 4th last year was good for him, 9th to 1st? Highly likely! :P

Nope, Grosjean is in front of him.

I think his ruined lap was more likely being up to 6th place but yeah, starting from 9th and 6th is quite a difference. If he was frustrated and giving some hand gesture, it's not surprising.

I think Grosjean will be a sitting duck against Schumi this time around... I think also he'll be in P6 by turn 1. Button should also make a place... and Vettel will lose 1 place...

Just saw the pole replay, RBR works those bumps very, very well to add to Vettel's natural speed.

Indeed. Another car that rides the bumps well is the Sauber. The worst I think is McLaren. From some slow motion footage, it can be seen that the McLaren car bumps a lot especially under braking.
