Just a heads up for any Virgin Media customers in the UK who haven't got BTSports, it's free for the whole weekend. There's a bunch of games on there, Crystal Palace vs Arsenal, Dortmund are playing, Bayern and Inter Milan games are shown 👍

Arsenal are now potentially without both their holding midfielders Arteta (suspended) and Flamini (injured) for their upcoming clashes with Liverpool and Man Utd.
Black November approaching indeed

United down 1-0 early on - AGAIN! C'MON!

Really rubbish defending.

Edit: 1-1! About time! RvP with the goal.

And now it's 2-1 Stoke!!! :grumpy:

Hope we Appeal Arteta's card, seemed harsh to mee.

How bad can United defend at the moment.

Arteta was last man, the nearest supporting defender was 20 yards away. A few more steps and he would have been shooting on goal. Therefore the foul denied a goal scoring opportunity, that plus the fact he was last man means it was a definite red card in my books.

Happy to get a win at home in the prem, last week after the Southampton draw I mentioned the lack of fight United had so at least we fought back to win this week

Also the El Clasico is on now and Neymar has just scored, Barca are 1-0 up with about 25 mins played...

I won't deny he was the last man, but when you see it from behind Chamakh clearly goes in for the contact then legs clash that's not a red Card.

It though almost impossible for the rest to see it that way that's for sure.

So he was the last man, and it was a foul, but it shouldn't be a red card...?
Pretty sure the rule is that if you're the last man with an attacker moving towards goal, and you commit a foul on said attacker, you get a red. Or am I mistaken?

Southampton are ripping Fulham apart, 2-0 up at half time, 14 attempts on goal to nil as well!

I think he's trying to say that there was no foul, as Chamakh went in for the contact?
Everyone I've heard has said there is no way it should be a red card, so hopefully we appeal successfully as we are now without a holding midfielder due to Arsene's incompetence.
At least Arteta's only missing for the midweek game against Chelsea, as opposed to the crucial game next week against Liverpool.
I can't help but think we will miss Flamini in the coming weeks though, we need his 'flamboyance' in defense against strong oppositions.

Please. This isn't the Arsenal Fan Page on Facebook.

Straight red is 3 games no?

Edit: Only one game for that offence it seems.

Exactly, wrong decision for me. No need to appeal as it really doesn't matter but it does not make the decision the correct one.

Been busy today. Caught up on MotD and even though we won, it still wasn't the greatest performance, especially the first half. Cleverley should have had one more week until he played a full 90 mins and Kagawa should not have been thrown into back to back games for the full 90 as he isn't up to full match fitness IMO. All of our strikers impressed me today.

Moyes needs to sort his ****inv job out, defence is terrible this season, even pre season showed holes, why aren't they plugged david!! Evans im never to sure about but he needs games to improve, jones is like a young terry, will go in to everything guns blazing.

Quite like the start to last season but then the attack was working and games were frequently turned around.
This problem is bigger than Moyes.

I'm thinking we need to hold tight till January and bring in 2 solid centre defenders. Rio is past it, Evans still plays like a rookie, Vidic is injury prone, both Smalling and Jones can play as a good 2nd CD, but neither can have a demanding defence role in there. We need at least 1 and ideally 2 good defenders to command the defence like Vidic and Ferdinand used to.

I could see Hummels (spelling?) fitting in well at United.
I could also imagine Vermaelen getting fed up of sitting on the bench constantly at Arsenal, and then having them sell him to United. We did with RVP so why won't they again? :grumpy:

You'd think so, but what I see happening is, trying for Baines again (which I'm not opposed too, I like him) and probably a midfielder. Then he'll carry on playing players out of position.

Its 1-1 in the Chelsea-City game, Aguero with a stunning strike! And speaking of stunning strikes that Borini goal was a belter as well!
