late goal by Torres, Chelsea won last four in the league and unbeaten at home, Spurs beat Hull 1-0 thanks to a Soldado pen and Swansea-West Ham was 0-0..

Happy with the Swansea draw yesterday, we didn't play well but that point means we sneaked into the top half and if you liked the feisty derby yesterday then there plenty more this Sunday because its Cardiff v Swansea!

I'm expecting a Swansea win there. Bony and Michu are one of the best Strike partnerships in the BPL right now (behind Suarez and Sturridge)

Bony is still settling in though and he is hot and cold atm

Also I think the Europa league is affecting us as well as we are still getting used to the Thus-Sun routine and Laudrup is doing a lot of tinkering to keep the squad fresh

@MUSC4EVER Swansea have quite a large squad so can afford to change it up a bit. Another player that is a bit hot and cold right now Jonjo Shelvey.

Well Shelvey was crap against Kuban on Thursday and he didn't even make the bench yesterday, hopefully the players will redeem themselves for the derby Sunday!

But how many teams actually play more than one striker? Most teams seem to prefer sticking with a 4-2-3-1.

@Hyped I actually prefer the old 4-4-2 formation. I think Liverpool may be the only club that actually plays it nowadays. The 4-4-2 allows for extra width in the midfield sacrificing depth and a bit of hold up play. I think that the 4-2-3-1 suits some clubs like Chelsea and Liverpool but doesn't suit other clubs like Manchester United at all.

@Ross For the past few games, we've been playing a 3-5-2/5-3-2 sort of formation, but for the most part, Rodgers likes to get Sturridge and Suarez up together, with Coutinho in the middle. We could be suited to a 4-4-2, but we don't have much in the way of quality wingers. If we switch to a 4 back formation we'll likely use a 4-3-1-2, since Coutinho is back in the mix this week.

EDIT: Just looked into it, and the only teams that are predicted to line up a side-by-side striker pair are Liverpool, City, and Sunderland. Teams that play 2 stacked strikers are Fulham, United, Southampton, and Swansea.

Capitol One Cup tonight and tomorrow then, Arsenal-Chelsea is the tv game and Mourinho isn't happy that they have to play so soon after the City game on Sunday (hes got a point), And he said he will pick he players that weren't involved in the game which includes Mata, Luiz, Ba, Willian and Eto'o so for that reason I fancy Chelsea!

Also its United-Norwich and Moyes has said he will pick Zaha...its about time!

Moyes has actually picked Zaha!! I heard, a rumor, that Zaha had slept with Moyes' daughter before SAF stepped down.

Nice to hear that Mata is playing too.

I don't know if he has picked him but he said he will play some part so will Buttner and Hernandez will probably start so will Giggs and Januzaj....im getting all this from Twitter, so I hope im right!

As a Gooner I don't hold out a great deal of hope for tonight.

I think Arsenal may have a slight edge when it comes to full first team squads, but Chelsea have more strength in depth and can field a much stronger second string side.

My thoughts exactly...and they have to rest players because of the big games to come, And next week its Liverpool Dortmund and then Man United!

I feel like this game is going to end badly for United. The defence seems pretty poor bar Vidic. The midfield has not much experience. However, Chicharito provides great attacking threat.

Well, they'll both be resting players. Both clubs usually field their B team in the League Cup. I just feel that Chelsea have a stronger B team than Arsenal.

Hernandez is only as good as the final ball in to the box. He may struggle to get the service he needs.

Here's hoping anyway! :P

@DQuaN Good point, at least we get to see a bit of Januzaj and Zaha. They may provide the clinical finishing that we need. Also, we seem to have 5 defenders (Rafael, Ferdi, Vidic, Buttner and Jones). I don't know if Jones will play in the pivot alongside Cleverley or we will play a 5-1-3-1 formation and just try and defend.

United at home to Norwich and they set up to defend? Things must be really bad!

Surely it must be a 4-5-1, but with Januzaj in a free role. Putting in him such a role shows the confidence towards him, one needs plenty of skill to truly work in a free role I feel.

Chicharito!! Januzaj winning the penalty. 1-0 United. On the livestream that I'm watching, it looks as if we're playing a 4-4-2.
