I disagree with nani, hes been riddled with injury this year but 2 years ago he was unstoppable. Bought as the ronaldo replacement. Cleverly came through the academy with welbeck so they pair up pretty well but never play together, again thats a moyes problem not knowing his team!!!

On a good note for us, first choke of Arsenal!

And failed horribly.

Irrelevant. Neither of them is top two material. With the quality of their squad, United are 7th on merit. That is exactly what the players in that squad are capable of. They overachieved so much under Ferguson.

For 20 years?? Even the generation before, no one expected anything, yet many titles and the treble. League evolves and gets harder. Money speaks now but teams can still prevail. Tactics play big part and we can still get 4th. I never say never and each year get to div 1 with utd on fifa cause i know the best combo that work.

No, this current crop of players at United. They're not good enough, plain and simple.

You were doing so well up until this point. What on earth do you mean and how is that relevant to the real world?

Because the managers appart of the team and controls most of the aspects. Players play and so far, rarely in the right positions to show there strengths. All moyes fault. As an example, i never play how he plays online, it may not be relevent but my utd dont fall apart at the back.

You are still comparing real life football to a video game...

I should show you how realistic Fifa can be... :P

Wow, I was fully expecting a result against Southampton and even though a draw isn't a terrible result, I feel just as bad as I would after a defeat. It's definitely two points dropped and I just hope this isn't the start of this campaigns downfall.
I'm also hearing that Wenger is about to sign a new 3 year contract and for the first time, I feel dissappointed with that news. He SHOULD NOT be offered a new deal unless he wins us a peice of silverware this season as I just don't see a change from the past 8 (going on 9) years so far.

Anyway, enough with the depressing stuff. I have been fortunate enough to get a ticket for the Arsenal v Palace game this Sunday in the Redsection (the Redaction fan groups singing area of the Emirates Stadium) which from what I've heard is the louder part of the ground so at least that is something to look forward to. Let's just hope City lose/draw tomorrow as well as Chelsea then maybe tonights result won't have been so bad after all. :)

I really hope that Reus does not leave my Bundesliga club of choice. Marco has been my favourite player ever since I first saw him score two fabulous goals the first time I ever watched European Football. I refuse to cheer for Man United just because Marco is there. Though I would hope he does well.

Though I don't see him leaving Dortmund. His comment to the fans about Gotze and Lew were funny. "You may have gotten Gotze and Lewandowski but you will never get me"

More than just him was to fault for that 2nd. We completely fell asleep. And what I liked about him was that there was absolutely no urgency from anyone in the first half apart from him and Szcz. He's played his heart out ever since returning to the club.

Lovely performance last night, only blip was Sturridge's shocking penalty. :mischievous:

Onto West Brom this weekend...

I cringed so hard when @Youngun compared real life football to a video game. It has some aspects of realism but at the end of the day, it's still a game and doesn't represent real life.

I no i no. Wasnt a comparison more of an assumption that tactical, united are being played wrong. Defensively we lack....because he plays the wrong defence.

Football and Fifa game...no

Football and Football Manager...I've been playing it and comparisons can be made there...

Also no, despite my love for FM. Otherwise Wrexham would be a Premiership team by now.

You cannot compare video game football to actual football. Myself, @Famine or @daan have not used our collective SWOS, LMA, USM or FM skills.

What is United's strongest back four in your opinion?
Hmm depending on opponents. Rafeal Evra Jones Evans. The old are to old, strong but old. Smallings a liability, buttner/fabio inexperience at this level. But Valencia did well back there last yer considering.

I'd say Rafael, Jones, Vidic, Evra at the moment, with Evans close... Smalling isn't good enough, same with Buttner. Fabio was sold to Cardiff.

Another big match tonight, Tottenham v Man City and City can go top with a win but Spurs have been in good form lately..

Rafael, Vidic, Evans, Evra for me..

Fabio and Zaha not confirmed yet. I know there looking at luke shaw at left back but so are half the league plus europeans. I just said evan/jones as stats suggest there the best pairing in the league so far, unbeaten with only 1 conceded.

Johnny Evans is hit and miss; he has six good months, then six average months. Could be due to being in and out of the team.

While he is a regular, Phil Jones needs a permanent position in the United team otherwise he's in real danger of becoming a never-quite-was.

Cabaye-PSG deal is done, £20 mill 3 year deal and he'll wear the number 4 shirt..

Newcastle get De Jong in on loan from Moenchengladbach

Arsenal in talks with Schalke over Draxler, deal could be worth £32 mill..

Just found out that Man City are still paying 40k a week in wages for Adebayor....what the hell?!?
