Parking the bus and playing like West Ham did last evening are two completely different types of play. Chelsea will often play a style of play known as "Parking the bus." Which I would consider as defending for most of the game and working on a counter attack when you get the chance. West Ham was playing a style of play known as "Playing for 1 point." That is put 9 players in front of the goal inside the box. Never even making an attempt to get up the pitch. Two completely different styles in my mind.

I hate either one but, they are different. Playing for 3 points is more respectable than playing for 1 point.

Not seeing the difference here, if West Ham had a chance to counter they'd take it also Chelsea played for a point in the two matches I have stated.

I find it laughable Mourinho complained about it to be honest.

Not seeing the difference here,

We'll have to agree to disagree then.

I got to say, I think Man City will definitely be hoisting the trophy this year. We will not beat City on monday, and Arsenal will have a really tough time getting points the next month and a half. I'd have to say that it is game over for Chelsea and Arsenal.

Some people are saying City are the best team in the world right now, but I think we will find that out when the play Barcelona in a few weeks, also they play Chelsea on Monday...

Of the best teams in Europe this year, City are definitely in the top 5 but, I'd say that they are sitting 4th or 5th.

My personal best teams in Europe this year are 1. Bayern 2. Barca 3. Real Madrid 4. PSG 5. City. PSG and City could be even I think.

@Kamuifanboy I would have to say that Chelsea are one of the best in the world at the "Parking the bus" tactic. The way you did it against Bayern and Barca a couple of years ago is one of the best examples I've seen of it. It's a really good test of the defensive line as well.

So, deadline day. How long until Wenger announces that we have purchased some 17 year old African from Ligue Deux rather than buying a good player?

This is what happening on Sky Sports News..

Wenger rules out move for Draxler, he won't meet the 37 mill asking price...

Sunderland sign Liam Bridcutt from Brighton on a three year deal..

Crystal Palace will the busiest today withJoe Ledley, Scott Dann and Wayne Hennesey all likely to come in..

West Ham have joined the race to sign Mitroglou with Fulham...

Swansea have made a 2.5 mill bid for Leicester striker Jeffrey Schlupp..

Fulham have made an improved bid for Swansea's Neil Taylor, which has been complicated by the fact his wife is in labour!..

Dani Osvaldo is having a medical at Juventus ahead of a loan move..

Kim Kallstrom has arrived in London, we are actually signing him, actually signing him........

Chelsea have signed French u21 defender Kurt Zouma from St-Ettiene on a two and a half year deal

Moyes has confirmed that United won't do anymore business in this window

Adel Taarabt has joined AC Milan on loan

Lewis Holtby has joined Fulham on loan

The only thing I know about the fella Liverpool are supposed to be signing is he did this against England.

No word about Konoplyanka yet, nothing about it has popped up on the Sky Sports News feed but they have a reporter outside Melwood...

Crystal Palace have signed Jason Puncheon permanently..

Fulham have signed Kostas Mitroglou from Olmypiakos...

Away from deadline day, Danny Rose has won his appeal against his sending off v Man City and will probably have it resindid

He is a midfielder and he is rubbish, some swidish folks on Twitter thought it was a prank
Ha ha, there is this Arsenal forum that I visit frequently and there is a Swedish member there. He said :

"Källstöm facts:
1. benchwarmer in spartak moscow, talks about him going back to swedish allsvenskan in the summer.(allsvenskan = Sky Bet League 1)
2. SLOW..SLOW did i say ****kg Slow (He will have hard time with the PL tempo)
3. Great left foot will be plus in deadballs.
4. Good crosser of the ball can see him hit perfect longballs to Giroud (swedish long balls)
5. INJURY PRONE
6. Bigup'd as the next swedish superstar 10yr ago as a playmaker but is now more like DM cuz his legs has gone"

He then posted :

So I can only assume that we are going to be very disappointed at the end of this window.
PLEASE ARSENE JUST BUY A HALF DECENT STRIKER!!!

Interesting he said Injury prone, someone said he played 30+ games a season for Lyon so not sure on that, but yeah the other stuff makes it a laughable transfer.

Well one thing - I have watched my fair share of Russian PL, and it is not any slower than the EPL, if anything they have a much more wide open style and the pace of play is quicker.

Anyone watch the Ross McCormack phone call on SSN? He could very well be in the **** after that.

I think its been a decent day of transfer deadline with quite a lot happening but its been mostly at the bottom of the table with the bigger clubs not doing any business, Arsenal-Kallstrom Chelsea-Zouma being the exceptions...

Nothing much happening now that's new, Macheda has gone on loan again, this time to Birmingham....why don't we just sell him?!

Berbatov is going to Monaco and im seeing a lot of stuff on Twitter about Konoplyanka having a medical for Liverpool in Ukraine....not confirmed though...

Berbatov to Manaco was a shock surprise, out of any stricker....and out of contract in 6 months anyway, thought they would of sold instead.

Sky Sports News have confirmed that Konoplayanka is having a medical in Ukraine ahead of a move to Liverpool...

And that's it. No more paperwork can be submitted. Deals still being announced for the next couple of hours though.

Well that sucks...looks like we didn't sign Konoplyanka because there president didn't want to sign the papers.

Oh well, we got to make do with what we got I suppose, got players still to come back from injuries, but definitely could have done with one or two players coming in.

I'm sure my comaining is getting a bit repetitive, but I cannot believe that Arsene has actually chose not to buy a striker. We have the best chance in years to win a trophy and Arsene 🤬 it up once again by ignoring the blatant gaps inour squad. I thought we were finally going to do something after we signed Ozil, but it just shows the lack of any ambition at our club. It's even more bizzarre when you consider the fact that we pay pathetic ticket prices (set to raise again next season), and have just announced a £30m per year deal so we obviously have the funds to buy players.
I honestly don't get what Arsene is trying to do by buying sub-par players. I genuinely think he has lost the plot.
It's going to be a chorus of "dizzying prices" and "there was no quality on the market" amongst other excuses for not spending money during interviews over the rest of the season. If he says that players wages are too high I will flip, as he doesn't mind pocketing £8mil a year for sitting on his arse.

I used to adore the man, but over the past two seasons I have felt that less and less, to the point that I hate him. 🤬 off Arsene or make an effort :banghead:
