Stoke XI: Begovic; Cameron, Shawcross, Wilson, Pieters; Odemwingie, Whelan, Adam, Arnautovic, Walters; Crouch

Man Utd XI: De Gea; Smalling, Jones, Evans, Evra; Young, Cleverley, Carrick, Rooney, Mata, van Persie

Interesting United line-up, 4-2-3-1 finally... Wazza, Mata and RvP from start. :P

Only one change that i can see straight away at 45-60 minute mark. Cleverly for janizaj

Just typical United luck this season... 2 defensive players injured... And a rubbish goal against... :grumpy:

Hah!

RvP scores 2 mins into 2nd half... Come on now!!! :D

Edit: Horrible defending again by United... Good shot by Adam though... 2-1 Stoke. :boggled:

Edito: Hahahaha the ref is pathetic today... That was maybe the clearest yellow card in a decade... But did he give it? Nooooo, he let the game play on.... Pffftt...

I guess this slipped past a few people this afternoon:

"Kim Kallstrom has picked up a back injury and is being assessed by the club's medical staff amid reports that he could be set for a lengthy spell out."

Not so good for Arsenal.

Well, let's put it the Mourinho way, "THEY PLAY FOOTBALL FROM ANOTHER CENTURY!"....

Pathetic... How Carrick get's yellow card on something that was barely a freekick while Stoke are allowed to bulldoze the United players without even a slap on the wrist is beyond me.....

Six games, apparently.

Well that's a crap day, United and Swansea both losing, Swansea now just two points of the drop :banghead::banghead::banghead:

The weather played a major part in that match. The wind just took the ball every time that it got kicked off the ground. The only positives are that Newcastle lost and Spurs got held to a draw I guess. Though by the end of the weekend, we could be 9 points behind 4th place.

The Brittania is the worst for the weather because the corners of the stadium are well open to the elements....but im so angry right now, when you support two teams and the both won like they did in the week you just feel so happy but when they both lose it feels horrible!

BBC say Arsenal KNEW about his injury before signing, what an absolute disgrace.

They obviously signed him to be a squad player as cover for the midfield because they have Ramsey and Wilshire out....but now they have Kallstrom out as well!

I know, I hope the media tear Wenger to shreds for this. I feel there could be a vile atmosphere in the Emirates tommorow if we don't put in a good performance.
I am seriously struggling to find a positive about Arsene ATM.

When I saw that I found it quite amusing. Wenger didn't have the best of luck with that one

We'll see how things go, but for sure if the summer also ends up with the same old money grubbing, then I really hope the supporters go back to boycotting.

Arsenal are 2nd in the league, only 1 point behind Man City. Yes Arsenal are going through a rough patch, but jeez, quit your moaning.

:P

Nobody is moaning about the patch (a draw and 5 straight wins isn't ) but signing an injured player as cover for an injured player is plain idiotic.

A win tomorrow for Liverpool and this will be a glorious weekend.

Jesus there is some much **** on Twitter about Moyes right now, you just wouldn't believe the level of idiocy on there!!!

I don't think you see the issue here. Yes, as you say we are second, but the same old flaws are showing. Wenger is doing the bare minimum to keep us in the top four by spending as little as posible, even though we have a lack of quality up top and injuries coming thick and fast.
This leads me to believe we will get dicked by the big teams as allways and slip back down to 4th place. It's going to be a repeat of 2008 I can tell.
And when anyone challenges him in an interview, he just basically says "I have worked in football 30 years therefore I know what I'm doing more than you", even though everyone knows we have some huge flaws.

When I go to the game tomorrow I will not moan, in fact I will cheer and support my team just as I always do, but if someone shouts "One Arsene Wenger" I will feel like screaming.

Yeah, this is our best chance in years to win the league. Look at the impact Özil has made (a signing!), and we just signed a £30M/yr. sponsorship deal with Puma...? I mean, if we did meet Schalke's price and they simply didn't want to sell Draxler, that's one thing, but now is THE time to go for it. We have an incredibly difficult schedule coming up that many of our key players (responsible for that 2nd place position in the league) will be out for. We're not asking them to go "Money City", but after they'd bragged about some £100M cushion over the summer and with the ticket prices, etc.... yeah. We have a great squad, but we lack depth and that's what is going to hurt us over this next stretch.

Speaking of Money City, just curious if anyone knows how they are going to fare with the Financial Fair Play Rule. The amount of money they have spent this year without selling any major players, I find it really hard to believe they are playing by it. Chelsea came out and said they were struggling to meet it's regulations and we've spent a fraction of what City has.

"Pfft, we'll worry about that later..."

There's a loophole in FFP though that Man City are using. Man Citys owner has something to do with Etihad Airways who sponser Man City, so they can just say the players have been bought through sponsorship money, therefore there is no actual money from the club being spent.

Ozil was panic buy when we got beat by Villa and fans started to call for his head. If Wenger intended to buy him all along, why did we sign him in the last hour of the transfer window, and not beofre the start of the season to give him time to settle?

Ah yes, the knockout stages, where the first decent team we play batters us year after year. I love it

Similar to the CL, the first decent team we play will beat us us due to a peice of weak sqaud rottion as we lack squad depth thanks to a lack of good signings.

It'February and we'll lose to every good team we play due to tbe reasons I mentioned previously.

Yes I'm complaining because I have good reason to.

It's not a knee-jerk reaction, if you read my previous posts then you'll understand that I have suspected this would be the case all season. And now I'm pissed off because it looks like it's going to be right.
