I wonder if we will still in those caravans that the Shannons Supercar Showdown contestants stayed in, parked in the Kelly Racing lot? That's going to be comfortable!! ;-)

when use go there to do the national finals does it get video for youtube? like the 1 few years ago i wanna see use all drive :)

Oh, and having to bring a valid passport to the national final... urgh. It's like 240 bucks to renew.

I'll send an email off asking if it needs to be current, or if it can be renewed if a person makes the top 6. Race camp is set for August 9th to 14th (Travel on 6th/7th), so that leaves just under 4 weeks for a renewal, which is more than enough time.

Yep, it's in Document 2.

I have received a reply regarding passports and such. I'll just cut and paste here,

"
- The terms & conditions require a passport to be provided at the national
final. Our preference is that proof of passport application is provided at
the National Final if that is not possible.
- While we will endeavour to accommodate winners to Race Camp in
Silverstone that don't have a passport at the National Final, there is the
possibility that not having a passport immediately after this event will
impact our ability book travel and therefore make the participant
ineligible to claim one of the 6 place.
"

So anyone without a passport should apply now, and anyone needing a renewal will need to renew as well. Bit of a bugger, but oh well.

I will (probably) be flying out of Brisvegas airport btw. I asked to fly out of Ballina/Byron, but due to logistics, they will fly us all out on the friday morning from the capital cities. I guess it's easier for them so that they can group us into courtesy cars from melb airport, and get us to the venue by early arvo.

Checked my passport last night and its good til 2018 (thank god for the 10 year option!)

Yeah they do it from major cities so they can put us all on the same plane, and collect us easier in Melbourne. Then we'll all jump on a bus for travel around Melbourne. (that's what they did last time anyway)
 
I think i may be the only one coming from Canberra??

once you send the email/documentation back do you get a confirmation email saying all good???

They called me a couple of hours ago, my email had a letter missing in it hence why I had nothing yesterday. :)

Now I just have to read all the papers in my hotel room tonight.
 
Josh wanna update your post to also include how people qualified. Either online or live.

Might give people who haven't received there email / call yet a better idea of where they sit.

Updated the post to include non members (not confirmed attendance or eligibility) and also those who are ineligible. please don't anyone take offence to this, I am only putting these up so those who are on the bubble can get an idea of how close they are or if they are a chance of getting a late call up. If you want me to take it down I will.

That's going to be comfy! Beautiful Melbourne winter as usual... Don't forget to pack your long johns for all you boys out WA or up north!

Also if there is live driving race/tests, there is a good chance of putting your wet weather driving skills to good use.:sly:

Participation Agreement, section (iv)... midway through the paragraph...

"...with the Material, without time limit throughout the universe, by all means..." etc

lol! At least the made sure it includes the rest of the universe, and not just earth :D
