With this weeks Tudor main event being just GT classes together it should be a really good one to watch.
Like watching a World Challenge event or one of the many GT series over the pond way.

GT racing is the best! IMO
Amen to that! :D

GTD is the best class in the series hands down

I'm guessing the prototype class takes a hit next year. I don't see Oak returning, and ESM appear to be wanting to take their toys overseas. That leaves Mazda to hopefully sort their cooling issues out.

(I picture driving their car a bit like the Star Wars pod racing game, where you can boost until you almost explode, then slow back down and hold the "repair" button)

2017 comes, new prototype regs come in, and it grows again.

But if I win the lottery you can bet I'll spend every last dime trying to win each NAEC race in a Ligier or Dome-Strakka

I pray Oak comes back...I really do hope they come back again. Same goes for ESM buy ESM has an interesting situation from the sound of it all besides wanting to be in the WEC.

I bet they'll be here as 8Star using a Ligier. 8Star's DP crew from last year is crewing that car if I'm not mistaken. If ESM moves, I'm not surprised. That means ESM is doing what they did before and moving to a place with less competition because Ed Brown has the money to do it.

I thought the were racing this year with Pla and Yacaman. As for ESM could they not do a reduced programme in the WEC with the bulk of the set-up in the USCC? Rather than risk money on a full programme that may not work, sample the WEC first before deciding whether it is good for them.

Kevin's dad and Richard Lietz crashed in final practice. http://sportscar365.com/imsa/tusc/corvette-porsche-involved-in-major-accident-at-vir/

We're in fightback mode after this morning. Went off on fluid dropped on the track by another car. I'm a bit sore but will be OK. #OTGP

Unfortunate. Hope for a speedy recovery. So they said Corvette was trying to repair the C7.R to get it out for qualifying, anyone know about the Porsche?
Edit, never mind it stated Porsche is trying to repair the car for tomorrow's race.

Random thought, whatever happened to Champion Racing after Audi pulled out of North America?

Did they just not have the money or desire to continue racing?

8Star owns the old Champion shop,Dave Maraj filed Ch.11 and sold off the Audi dealers, but he still has the Porsche dealership. There was a story on racer.com last year about Maraj and Potolicchio wanting to run the Indy 500 in 2015 but who knows if that will ever happen.

Wow, that's sad to hear. I know Audi Sport has Brad Kettler who used to work for Champion Racing, but didn't know things took a turn for the worst since then.

In other news, glad to see Gidley back and he looks quite upbeat 👍

Are you sure about the GT race?
The GT race stream should not be available in the USA, just for the international viewers.
The TUSCC home page is advertising the international stream for GT and the US will have the PC races to stream LIVE.

Glad to see Memo. 👍

I saw it on Twitter where all would be available for the states, but I haven't checked IMSA.com this morning

Good race so far, fun watching all GT battles. My big complaint is the C7.R has been totally castrated since their BoP change. Like I've said before, the Vipers were on par with the Vettes after the Viper received a BoP gain, yet the Corvette got docked even though they were equal. Now look, the Vipers are killing it while the Vettes struggle to keep middle to back of the pack finishes. And the way it looks the Vipers will soon take over points lead.

Actually everyone got BoP breaks while the Corvette got added weight.

In this race where the Ferrari went off into the grass early and got passed by the Vette, the Ferrari came back on track and passed the Vette with ease right away.

/end rant

The whole "stay in the car" rule is fine and probably safer, but if you suspect any sort of fire, I don't think you should have to wait for the safety crew to show up. Personally I'd just get out and take whatever punishment or fine they give me..

How about if he suspects it is? I wouldn't want to wait around for it to flare up.. Seems more like he was concerned about being stuck in the car.

I don't know. I don't think they would if he left at his discretion. In a single lap, a Viper pulled a wheelie after hitting a curb, and a Corvette and a Porsche just tangled up. Both the #4 Corvette and the #912 wound up with damage.
