I have no idea what Pratt & Miller (Corvette Racing) was thinking by leaving the 3 out on track. Why would you leave the championship leading Corvette out on track when pretty much everyone else pitted?

Well, the privateers both got podium finishes in GTLM. That race could have gone either way.
EDIT: FIVE drivers and THREE teams are tied for the GTD points lead!

Bravo to Fox for actually making an effort to improve the broadcast.2 classes seems to be the sweet spot for the production crew and they did a much better job with the commercial breaks.

Great finishes in both classes, time to give the Vette's back some of that BoP and that Ferrari needs a smaller restrictor.Imagine were the #22 Weather Tech car would ne in the points of they had those points back from the Sebring fiasco.

VIR has done an amazing job with the repave. Every single race that's been here has been a good one. I really wish the Prototype class had been there to duke it out also. Excellent racing and an improvement in coverage for sure

Sad to see what happen with the viper and vette started strong finished crappy  which is fine cause i still think the viper and vette are still the top dogs in GTLM

Really wish PWC could have been there.

I got to catch this race live yesterday and I was very entertained. Great racing, good track and much less confusion with only two classes.

Patrick Long losing his cool was interesting after his teammate got into him a couple times at the restart.

Will I be the only one that'll have a laugh if the former L5 Ferrari ends up with the championship?

IMSA took a step back in BoP. They've really butchered up the GTD class big time. Oh well, I'm hoping they know something almost a season's worth of data doesn't show

Audi and Porsche both getting BoP breaks when the WEC comes to town, I'm sure that is just the data talking.;) And of course Corvette enters a car in the WEC race and they get the Atkins (or Elkins) diet and more HP to keep their wandering eyes at home.

I am interested in a comparison between the old and new P2 cars trap speeds. If the Ligier can close the top speed gap to the DP and beat the HPD chassis it will help to sell that new chassis for 2015. HPD ARX-03B in Conti/IMSA spec vs Dunlop/FIA spec should also be interesting.

IMSA isn't even being sly about BoP changes. It's obvious there's some "motivation" we'll call it bringing these changes. I knew the performance adjustment a.k.a. DP nerfing after Long Beach was just the first of many when the graphic on tv was sponsored by HPD. Even more fishy was the HPD boost on national tequila day. Still fishy is the SRT boosts amid rumors that the program may be scaling back and/or going elsewhere. Same thing with the Corvette racing WEC entry now. Pretty crappy how even though the Prototype class is a non factory class, the sanctioning body still can't keep the factory money from steering the rules; however, GTLM that's to be expected. Gotta find a better balance for the factories being involved but not buying championships

Sounds more like a bribing issue lol. Jesus...so much for their credibility.

It's been going on for decades both here and overseas. GM is pretty much the US version of Audi. Build something that's obviously advantaged then buy its legality. Start to give their car the shaft and they start pulling money, so they get the advantage. I'm not sure what happened to pit space limits for all teams because that huge Corvette racing bounce house they have is totally against that rule. Yet another instance of corruption and conflicting interests

Are you and IforceV8 one of those people still under the hilarious impression that Corvette is going to WEC and leaving TUSCC just because of their lone entry? Corvette Racing has no interest in racing in anything outside the US (that and there's no other series in the US that would allow that car to race as it is) so you can drop the stupid conspiracy theory right here.

As for the "DP Nerfing", boo freaking hoo. It didn't do squat at Indy so who cares at this point. Honestly, the complaining for this series is reaching GT6 levels (which is annoying already).

GM would probably let Corvette Racing run in both series if Pratt & Miller wanted to go that route. But it is extremely unlikely that Corvette Racing would bail on the TUSC since it has nowhere else to go in the states.

I'd rather they go WEC honestly along with the rest of the GTLM class, but that's another topic.

TUSCC complaining hit GT5/6 levels 20 minutes after the merger was announced. I've tried to be as positive as I can, but when the series makes decisions that do not make statistical sense (my engineering background coming out) with any data we've seen, there's not much sense to be made of it.

I doubt we'll see much out of the Ligier this week to get it better BoP for next year. Then again, we may not see it at all given Oak is here to sell cars. Last I checked, the LMP2 has a humongous disadvantage according to the internets and Dagys so that's all renters need to know. All the biased negative articles out there only hurt the series. That's where there needs to be changes. There needs to be some actual optimism out of the people who cover the sport rather than numerous articles about how BoP is bad and how a few cherrypicked teams aren't happy when they would say something negative regardless of the situation more/less. Like right now, there's a historically awesome GTD championship fight going on. I don't see much on that. All year it's been "what has IMSA done wrong and what other series do it right" coming from the media.

Me,no.The 3rd car is strictly promo for the WEC and COTA. I do think that a couple of C7's will run in the WEC next year as customer cars.
