The race stewards excluded Scheider from the race which is the only thing they could do for ramming 2 cars out the race (whether told to or not), they've referred the case to an higher authority who can establish whether the driver heard the message or not (Audi said he didn't but they did a lot of truth bending yesterday so we can't really believe a word they say).

Dr Ullrich is admitting it but stating that it wasn't meant as an instruction since he didn't think the radio was on.

There should be some kind of points penalty for Audi, even if it's just a deduction from the manufacturers points, as they've done for engine changes.

Mercedes troll Audi back with an advert on FB for their braking assistance on road cars...

Very funny Ullrich. The super slick Audi operation makes those kind of mistakes all the time doesn't it?

I say delete every Audi from the Championship.:P

DMSB Rules

€200,000 fine for Audi
62 Point deduction from Spielberg Race 2
Dr. Ullrich banned from DTM events until the end of the season

Audi will not appeal.

Mercedes Benz now lead the constructors championship and teams championship, with the gap in the drivers being 13pts between Audi (currently leading) and Mercedes (second).

So I'm finally able to watch DTM races this season (thanks for your excellent YouTube policy CBS :ouch:) and have a couple of questions, first what's the bright yellow handle knob thing behind and to the right of the steering wheel? With the way some of these guys are spinning it it's surely not the brake balance knob right? Secondly what's up with the box things on the back of the BMWs? They look really bad IMO

The yellow knob is the brake balance (they said that on TV in the last race), but only the Mercedes has the yellow spinning one I think. In the BMW it looks like a short sequential shifter. Maybe I'm wrong tho.
I don't know what you mean by box things on the BMW. If you mean the rear fenders, I'd say its some aero element.

Got my tickets for Oschersleben booked, kinda excited now :)

Hope you're having a great time!

edit: Well today's race has closed the gap in the manufacturers standings to 19 points across all three manufacturers. Great work by BMW. 👍

Storming weekend for BMW, who now lead the manufacturers championship.

With 4 races to go there's still a lot of points on offer but I'm glad that its not going to be the utter embarrassment of a season for BMW that it looked to be at one stage.

DTM need to get to work on the regs though, too many races are too processional.. given how close the cars are in terms of performance, there should be more on track battling.

Just seen the replay of race one, that was very messy, shame Ekstrom suffered so much in the first few laps, there was some very ordinary driving going on,
