Surprising amount of understeer and tyre squeal, it seemed that the steering wheel didn't have much to do with the turning.. Then here was also some nasty resonance from something in the car when the revs got near rev limit. Not impressed.
There was some squeal at the beginning, I'm guessing due to cold tires. Once they warmed up, looked fine to me.

There was still a lot steering action needed. I thought it would have faster rack than the regular GT.

As someone who's been around Grattan more times than I can count, that seemed like a hell of a lap. Really took the hill with some gusto - that thing is a lot bigger in person than it looks in the GoPro.

The track is anything but smooth, it has been that way pretty much forever. Pavement quality is very uneven, a couple of the corners are off-camber, and the elevation changes are more drastic than the camera makes it look. I know GM and Ford do pretty frequent trips there for development runs, and the Michigan State Police test most of their new vehicles there to get an idea of how the cars/trucks do. Its our little hidden secret in West Michigan.

Cold R-comps on Grattan's surface which is miserably slick and greasy. A driver who is entering corners nowhere near the limit. I'm not hearing any resonance that I'd attribute to the car and not the camera. Also, the R and regualr GT350 share the same steering ratio.

Put on some good headphones. This is probably the best quality audio yet for the GT350. Winding Road magazine does fidelity right.

That engine sounds absolutely frantic. Its the first one where you can definitely tell it's a flat plane too. But still gruff sounding. I wouldn't change the exhaust at all.

edit: I just noticed a heads up display shift light. That's awesome.

WHOA That's the Michigan track I run my 69 Camaro on!!! Grattan Raceway. :dopey:

So I got to drive the new 2015 GT, cause my mom is a new owner of one. I have to say this car is quite a treat, great power, but great grip as well. Sadly the one I drove for the day was automatic since my mom doesn't know how to drive stick and doesn't want to learn at this point in her life. But for what it is it's plenty of power for the average person and quite forgiving I feel like. The grip is there and the independent rear makes this thing feel quit safe when you try to hard corner, for me I couldn't get it tail happy, but then again it wasn't my car and for what I did do in it was enough.

I have to say I'm impressed I've had the chance to driver other mustangs (last one being a 2012) and I feel Ford has really done a wonderful job with this. I can only dream of how fast the 350 is, this car easily throws you back and goes quickly and Chris Harris I feel put it spot on. It's also a comfortable ride when driven normally, I took it on the surface roads and the Freeway. The view wasn't too obstructive for a sports car and I feel in this area GM should take notes on what Ford has done, also I was surprised by the amount of trunk space it had.

Really not else to say (unless asked) but my goal was to have fun in a fast car which I did ;)
