It hasn't been close enough in recent years though. As much as I hate the Red Bull® RB Leipzig™ model with its artificial culture and corporate moneywell, it's great to see someone giving München a challenge.

Clearly offside.

Even the commentator emphasised that it was onside.

No not to me. :( Have a look at how the grass is cut, It clearly looks like rose is keeping sterling onside? (Feet not upper body?)
Its one of the best markers on the pitch. (grass markings?)
Just don,t use the Southampton pitches or others in that way from there crazy markings they used to do. lol
...
Someone else,s quote on the grass markings?
Peeyush Nandwana

...
Just for my own curiosity plus others I have had a little mess in photoshop for all pundits, Messed with the colour ratio to get a clearer line for all to see, (Grass markings) Plus moved the play a second from when kolarov kicked it? (To see he,s actually kicked it so its not marginal kick?) 3 to 4 yards in front of him is the ball.
Anyway my picture. :)

Ok fair enough, I should have phrased that better. I mean that anyone would have played to the whistle the same way. A foul isn't a foul unless the referee blows his whistle really since there's no reaction against it, even though it is a foul, if you know what I mean. Unless it's dangerous and wasn't seen at all by the referee of course, then retrospective punishment applies.
I understand what you mean. I should have worded myself differently - Spurs got rewarded for Walker's cheating.

I was being sarcastic.

Bayern could look to pinch some of Leipzig's players like what they did with Kimmich. I can see either Werner or Forsberg fitting into their team.

Trouble is its like all papers too. :D "Especially all the rag ones lol" there all sarcastic? I almost put especially against City. LOL
But you know what I mean. :)
...

One thing I would like to see in football since all this new technology gets talked about all the time, Plus every match has pundits going crazy.
Look at this look at that, Million different angles and so on.
Is a headband on the ref and line officials with a built in camera so we get a perfect view of what the officials see from where there stood.
Lets see if its justifiable for all the videos we see after when we only then need to look at one view the refs camera on his head?

David Goodwillie (horribly ironic) and John Robertson have been ruled as rapists by a judge despite not facing a criminal trial. They have been ordered to pay £100,000 in damages to the woman in question.

Goodwillie has been sacked by his current club Plymouth and Robertson has announced his retirement from football.

Denise Clair cannot remember what happened after a night out in West Lothian and claims that due to her being extremely drunk cannot have given consent to free sex (article's words) whilst Robertson insists that everything was consensual.

The CPS decided to not prosecute so Denise Clair decided to sue Goodwillie and Robertson, resulting in a civil rape case. The judge found the evidence and testimony compelling and his decision makes the two footballers rapists by judicial opinion, if not criminal fact.

I think it's really, really strange that a rape case has become a civil rather than criminal case. If the civil case found that there was evidence of rape and the judge has ruled that the two blokes are rapists, how come the CPS didn't prosecute in the first place?

And the kicker? This incident took place in 2011, six years ago.

Heart is pounding. Absolutely pounding.

THANK YOU GOAL LINE TECHNOLOGY!

Massive congratulations to Southampton, defended well and hit Liverpool on the break to get the winner in stoppage time, great save from Forster!, first major final since Fa Cup final back in 2003, i guess we will be seeing you there then :sly:

Brendan Rodgers equalled history tonight by going 26 domestic games unbeaten.

It's been a great season so far, just hope we can keep going. Getting to the business end of the season now.

Assuming Hull don't beat you properly.

Cant see it happening, whilst i do think Hull have looked better under Marco Silva so far we do have a two goal lead and we should have the experience and intelligence to see the job through.

But anything can happen in [Insert Sport here] and it usually does.

Not far off, Hull played a blinder, I think United played like they thoiught they were already in the final, that or they didn't want the extra match and the City fixture moving (which is purely based on Jose's recent comments but the less likely option).

Worst performance for a long time and our unbeaten run is gone, fair play to Hull they were great but we were terrible, almost makes me forget that we are through to the final

Mourinho was claiming it finished 1-1 in the post match conference.
On account of the non-penalty Hull were awarded, it was no way a penalty but then Smalling being pushed over by Huddlestone which was blantant, was not given. The refereeing this season (not just in United games) has been shocking. That said, Hull still deserved to win the match, we were languid whereas Hull wanted to cause an upset. They nearly did.

Arsene Wenger gets a four game touchline ban and fined £25k, pretty weak punishment if you ask me.

Looks like West Ham have signed Robert Snodgrass from Hull.

Rediculous from Hull.

I seen earlier that Sunderland accepted a bid for Van Aarnholt as well, from Burnley. It's as if they're resigned to relegation and trying to cash in now.

So Leipzig just put an end to Hoffenheim's unbeaten run, Werner was on fire he is now leading the Goal tally in the Bundesliga, wonder if Bayern might try do a sneaky bid before February.

Most likely not because he only just signed for Leipzig on a 4 year deal.

That was in June though, unless your talking about a renewal(Either way it's incredibly unlikely they will accept any bid till Summer).

If Leipzig wants to keep it's players long term they are going to have to remove their self imposed salary player cap soon though.

West Ham have apparently accepted a bid from Marseille for Dimitri Payet, the club he left to join West Ham for only 2 years ago...

He cost West Ham nearly £11m. The return fee is thought to be £30m.

Well they got an extra 10 from the last bid, but West Ham where not going to not sell him he wasn't going to play for them again.

This should help Marseille build back up to Europe spots.

Yes it was back in June but it's unlikely a player would move on after 6 months.

Also, Werner isn't leading the Bundesliga goal tally in fact he only ranks 4th.

No surprise that someone hitting their best form as they enter the later stages of their career will cry about a big move. Anybody who thought that he'd be going to United or Chelsea must have been crazy though.

12 good months and back to France. For him, a Frenchman, I'd say he's improved his reputation in his home country so job well done as far as he's concerned.

He should of secured a big move when he was at Lille but was over shadowed by Hazard who was of course the star man as he was younger and had a lot of hype built around him. But now Payet has found his form and secured a starting role for France, he can happily wave goodbye to the Hammers.

What about Liverpool then?, had a terrible January with one win and knocked out of both domestic cup competitions in the this week, they have Chelsea at home on Tuesday, at least Mane will be back for that as Senegal were knocked out of AFCON last night

I doubt Klopp will play Mane against Chelsea. He's got this weird "philosophy" (I still shudder at that word) that was working till about 31/12/2016.

He'll be on the bench at least mate, Liverpool put a private jet on for him.
