Outstanding career, definitely one of the more memorable players from my life-time.

Parliament will debate a no-confidence vote on the FA

They stand to lose their £40 million public funding. Some of the criticisms thrown at the FA include:

- The Premier League's financial power has a knock-on effect "right through the football pyramid".
- The FA is compelled to contribute tens of millions of pounds to the Premier League, rather than grassroots.
- The majority of those in senior positions are under-qualified to deal with the complexities of the FA structures.
- The FA Board is neither an independent board nor an independent regulator.

Calhanoglu has been banned for 4 months for breach of contract and will have to pay 100,000 EURO's to Trabzonspor, the case has been ongoing for 4 years. Very much a ridiculous decision by FIFA, now Leverkusen has to play the rest of the season without one of their key players because of something which happened back in 2011 and had even had nothing to do with the club.

Saturday
Chelsea v Arsenal (12.30 Sky)
Crystal Palace v Sunderland
Everton v Bournemouth
Hull v Liverpool
Southampton v West Ham
Tottenham v Middlesbrough (5.30 BT)
Watford v Burnley
West Brom v Stoke

Sunday
Leicester v Man United (4pm Sky)
Man City v Swansea (1.30 Sky)

Big games at both ends of the table tomorrow.

When was the last time Leicester scored a goal? 2016?

edit: @lxmmy They apparently already removed Calhanoglu from the latest FIFA 17 roster update.

Goddammit, I just had to bet on Leverkusen tonight. :(

*please be good, please be good, please be good*

Edit: Well, he has an assist so far...

Well it seems like Hull isn't a walkover team anymore.

They've produced many good results lately. Of course I am very happy that Liverpool lost today. :D

Leicester v Man United tomorrow now suddenly is a massive game for both teams, United need to win to capitalise on Arsenal and Liverpool losing and Leicester need a win because they are in the ****, a draw does neither any favours.

City managed to snatch a win in extra time, although they deserved it to be fair. United have to respond against Leicester now and close the gap on Liverpool and Arsenal. Knowing United, because some of the teams above us have had a bad weekend, we'll struggle too. We never seem keen to make the most of these situations.

Swansea were so close to getting a point, really good second half performance, proud of the lads 👍

Leicester v Man United just kicked off

2 - 0 to United at half time, United playing well after a slow start.

Don't think i have ever been more relieved to see us score, those goals were badly needed!

Napoli are the epitome of beautiful football. Both Hamsik and Mertens getting hat-tricks after beating Bologna 7-1.

Omer Toprak has said that he will leave Leverkusen in June, with Dortmund interested in the move for him. 12 million (EURO) release clause. Bargain.
Done deal.

So its 0-3 to United now, Mata with the third just a few minutes into the second half, Leicester have been shocking, very poor defending for the last two goals, just all over the place.

I know what you mean, I always feel like we'll struggle to get that first goal then once we have it the players seem more relaxed and we look likely to score a second.

When that first goal takes a long time to come we start labouring our attacks too much or snatching at chances and half chances.

Unlike us. We get a goal then fall apart for some unknown reason. Just look at West Ham yesterday.

... the only team in the league with the budget to regularly sign players for 7 figures.
Yep, it's great.

Also it's never happened in my lifetime, wins get points which then feed into the league table. Are you unsure how football works? Don't see how we'd be 27 clear without actually winning games.

I'll never feel guilty of our nearest competitors imploding due to financial ignorance.

Is it?

I can't imagine going to a football game without the edge of potential defeat and the excitement in the hope of victory. Even Manchester United, in the Fergie era of dominance, knew they could lose the next game (and even the one after that). Celtic fans just don't have that these days (unless playing European football) - what's the next game you think you have any chance of losing?

Where's the thrill of the challenge? Even the Celtic fans I see on Twitter occasionally are so bored of it that they barely even mention their own team and games - it's all about ripping into Newco for some reason.

At the moment Celtic are like Manny Pacquiao punching the crap out of 11 primary school girls (at the rate of one a week). Wouldn't it be a little more interesting to watch if at least one of them was Kell Brook?
