Remember when Formula 1 cars could race in the rain?
This is just silly.
On the other hand the tires seem to be pretty bad for these conditions...
Still, worst "race" I've seen so far.
Edit : it's not even raining lol
Niki Lauda also says it's ridiculous...
A boatThese full wet tires need to be replaced with something more adequate.
Yeah, but he also said "Kimi had a high speed accident and what happend? Nothing. The cars are safe" which is ridiculous itself in those conditions. We just saw how close F1 avoided a catastrophe there.Niki Lauda also says it's ridiculous...
I'm not sure what you guys want. The weather is just as bad if not worse as when they were aquaplaning and crashing earlier and it was only sheer luck that there wasn't a monumental accident. On this track, with it's undulations, it's just not safe IMO.
Hamilton obviously wants to race because he wants full points, plus he doesn't have the visibility issue.
That's probably what's happened and they are worried about the current lawsuit from the Bianchi family.Have the FIA lawyers got involved. ?? Worrying in case of a major accident
Restart in 10.
Possibly but then the sheer fact that Bianchi died from that crash is enough.Have the FIA lawyers got involved. ?? Worrying in case of a major accident
The person who I feel for the most from this is the FIA PR spokesperson. How on earth are they gonna explain this
Because when other sports wouldn't race in these conditions F1 always would. It's not a question of weather conditions as much as it's the tires aren't good. Other tires in these conditions could race. That's a big part of it. Also like I said (and Niki Lauda agrees with me) that the cars are safe. Just race and have at it. There's always luck involved with this sport. This time it's greater than usual. Which makes it, guess what? more exciting!Other sports have rain delays, I don't understand the big doom and gloom conversations. This isn't Indy 2005, nothing like it.

Rain about to stay or get worse in the next 50min. Expecting a time-limited race.
You're only thinking about the bad things. It will bring more overtaking attempts and side by side racing as it's worse to be right behind. Things like that...Personally I don't find the possibility of cars being T-Boned or crashing head because of poor visibility exciting.
Yes, Kimi's accident ended up pretty safe as it turned out but it could have easily been much worse, so could Vettel's.
What have we lost? An hour or so of time. I'd rather that than a driver's life.
