Charlie: Are you not entertained?

Remember when Formula 1 cars could race in the rain?

This is just silly.

On the other hand the tires seem to be pretty bad for these conditions...

Still, worst "race" I've seen so far.

Edit : it's not even raining lol

Niki Lauda also says it's ridiculous...

Remember when Ocon T-Boned Raikkonen's Ferrari and had a massive accident?

It could easily have happened and I do not want to see another chance of it.

We've got over two hours left, plenty of time yet. Rain is easing off, so wait a little bit longer and it'll be safer.

I'm not sure what you guys want. The weather is just as bad if not worse as when they were aquaplaning and crashing earlier and it was only sheer luck that there wasn't a monumental accident. On this track, with it's undulations, it's just not safe IMO.

Hamilton obviously wants to race because he wants full points, plus he doesn't have the visibility issue.

I just want it to stop raining.

I'd rather not see them start again and have another crash on the very first lap. But it's frustrating that nothing is happening. Fully realizing the futility of that feeling, but there it is.

Either way, there is still time to finish the race. But it's a close thing.

Charlie doesn't want to restart the race, because Vettel's down the order. Indirect karma for telling him to "🤬 off.$

(At least I think he's down the order. I just turned the race on.)

Aren't the drivers those who should have the final saying?

So far all radio messages told us that they can go again as it was better than before.

Eric Boullier speaking complete sense for a change. You can't let cars race on this track in those conditions. I'm with you guys most of the time on getting racing in the rain but this is a unique track, that pit straight area wasn't safe.

The person who I feel for the most from this is the FIA PR spokesperson. How on earth are they gonna explain this

Pretty simple - "It wasn't safe to race, look at the cars aquaplaning off and coming close to catastrophic accidents"

I don't see the big deal.

Other sports have rain delays, I don't understand the big doom and gloom conversations. This isn't Indy 2005, nothing like it.
Because when other sports wouldn't race in these conditions F1 always would. It's not a question of weather conditions as much as it's the tires aren't good. Other tires in these conditions could race. That's a big part of it. Also like I said (and Niki Lauda agrees with me) that the cars are safe. Just race and have at it. There's always luck involved with this sport. This time it's greater than usual. Which makes it, guess what? more exciting!

Credit to them for giving it another go, they probably would've stopped it by now...

Personally I don't find the possibility of cars being T-Boned or crashing head because of poor visibility exciting.

Yes, Kimi's accident ended up pretty safe as it turned out but it could have easily been much worse, so could Vettel's.

What have we lost? An hour or so of time. I'd rather that than a driver's life.

Yeah, but he also said "Kimi had a high speed accident and what happend? Nothing. The cars are safe" which is ridiculous itself in those conditions. We just saw how close F1 avoided a catastrophe there.

I agree, Raikonnen got really lucky there - it's still a bit ridiculous they aren't racing, maybe the tires are really bad...

Restart at 16.02

You're only thinking about the bad things. It will bring more overtaking attempts and side by side racing as it's worse to be right behind. Things like that...
