Go ahead and judge me like my post was a YouTube comment.
and considering it was as he was speeding up coming out of one of the slower corners on the track, compared to most NASCAR incidents that's not really that hard of a hit
How slow is the slowest part of the track for the average driver?

Lets suppose they go 50mph through the slowest corner of the track. Now imagine wrecking your car at that speed in any way shape or form. Does that feel good? No. Strapped into roll-caged car, it might not be much. But how would I know? I have never had that happen to me. But I for damn sure will not assume that it isn't a hard hit.

Relax dude. Lol

Kyles had much harder hits in his career.

I think people know how I constantly talk about hard hits at tracks and complained when drivers were hitting non-safer barrier walls, but this impact didn't appear to be that hard at all. Larson hit a guard rail, at his inpact speed, would be better than a safer barrier due to the giving of the wall.

Yeah. People who think road courses are more dangerous than ovals are mental. You are more likely to hit a wall at a high speed at Bristol than you are at, say Shangai. High banks and no runoff, compared to no banks and plenty of runoff. Not to say road courses aren't dangerous but anyone who would rather race an oval than a road course because of safety concerns can bite me.

Depends on the track. There aren't many road courses(excluding rovals) here that can accommodate NASCAR from a paddock and safety standpoint. I'd argue that a place like Road America is not nearly as safe as the oval tracks with safer barriers. Concrete wall not 15 yards from the racing line in the fastest part of the track from the kink to Canada corner

However in most instances, it's typically safer. And don't get me wrong, Daytona is my favorite track, so I'm not a road course only fan, but they typically are safer. Honestly, road courses are as safe as you are.

Any place that can host LMPs or DPs is more than safe enough for NASCAR... If a NASCAR car hits the same wall on a roadcourse an LMP hits at at least 50mph more, and injuries are sustained, then the problem is not with the course, but with the car.

Just because a track hosts another series of car that is capable of faster speeds doesn't mean that it's safe. Safety in racing is equally shared between vehicle and track

Bryan Clauson has succumbed to his injuries. Condolences to his fiancé and family.

I just can't bring myself to believe it. Bryan was such a great racer, he drove so many things and did well in pretty much all of them. Seeing him go is just so.. I can't even put it into words. At least he went doing what he loved. Rest in peace, Bryan. :(

It's certainly a dismal way of waking up today. I was looking forward to seeing him run Indy next year. He had a very friendly attitude when I saw him at Indy this year.

Lewis Hamilton won at Watkins Glen yester.... wait:

Not sure how you get a name with 8 letters mixed up with name that has 6 letters. That and one is a NASCAR driver while another is a F1 driver. Weirdly, the title is the only part with that typo.

 i actually wonder how #blessed Lewis would be driving a NASCAR ( He did a car swap with Tony back in 2012 for a promotion if i remember at the Glen )

He wasn't too bad in it either, he actually liked it. I'd think he'd have to adjust his terminology but if it came down to pace on a road course, then I think he'd be up there. Ovals though...Who knows.

No talk of Brad taking the points lead away from Harvick?
Sure it doesn't mean much but it just goes to show that for as much hype as the Toyotas get, Team Penske can still compete with them

I don't see how it will make it too interesting, he'll be out after the first round.
But if he makes it or not is definitely going to have the teams on the bubble worried. Plus, the brackets everyone filled out at the beginning of the year are going to be destroyed
