Well that race was a crapshoot for me.

  • My driver leads half the race, crashes in dumbest way possible
  • 2/3 of fantasy team finish 30th+
  • Guy I don't want in Chase finishes 5th, in Chase*
  • Guy I don't like wins race, could have been worse winner, though.
*For some reason, it was cool seeing the 43 make the Chase in 2014, but I just can't get behind the #34. The #43's had pace beforehand, but the #34 is literally one of the worst teams out there. I wish Larson would be able to make it in, instead of this group. Seems much more fitting IMO, but it is what it is.

To suggest that the 43 has speed is funny.

Not that they're competing with Gibbs or Penske or Hendrick, but they've had decent runs in the past. I want to say it was Richmond last year that they were running pretty well. At least to me, they seem like a team with more pace than FRM has ever had.

Kyle Larson can't find luck if it hit him in the face shame. Would be in the chase if these last 2 weeks went to plan
Bad luck is still a type of luck. He's found that plenty of times, usually when it hit him in the face. :ouch:

Was really cheering for Stenhouse there. The BC throwback livery and all.

Also props to Buescher for a top 5. Maybe he can put a few good runs in here and show that he's not a complete fluke

I went to a block party so I missed the race today, I recorded it though.

Anything happen worth seeing or should I just delete it?

Only driver to run their own throwback
It's the only way for him to remain remotely relevant. Purolator wouldn't even sponsor this throwback for a single race deal.

"Hey, I won the Daytona 500 in a car that looked like this. Yes, it was 26 years ago. Yes, it was only because Dale Sr cut a tire on the final lap. I STILL WON THE DAYTONA 500!"

Hammann will be back in the 74 this weekend at Road America.

Kids 12 and under will be allowed into all Truck/Xfinity races next season for free

It reminds me of the old Nascar games I used to play on the pc/ps2 when I would drive the Ford Racing sponsored Chevy, GM Goodwrench Dodge, etc.

"Quality Care" was a Ford service.

Not sure why you needed to point that out, I'm well aware of this. I'm saying its not the only one here where the throwback is on a different make. Pretty sure Ryan said "Quality care" meaning the scheme itself, not the sponsor (for obvious reasons).

It just seems REALLY weird to me to run a throwback scheme for a Ford sponsorship (basically a Ford factory-backed team) on a camaro.

I'm a Ford guy, I can't help it. I would find it just as strange if someone ran a throwback Dale Sr GM Goodwrench scheme on anything but a GM car, or a throwback Kasey Kahne/Bill Elliott Dodge scheme on a non-Dodge.

On the fan side of things, NASCAR said that anyone 12 and under will be admitted to Xfinity and Camping World Truck races for free starting next year. Link here.
