I would pronounce that as "teammate insurance." They aren't even rushing to "fix" the car.
Arm itchin?
Supposedly NASCAR's looking into making it so a failed post race laser inspection doesn't advance you in the chase
What happens if Gordon wins, will he be in the chase?
I don't think he's in the top 30 in points. He also hasn't attempted to run every race. What happens if Gordon wins, will he be in the chase?

No, he literally cannot make the chase so the point is moot. But the 88 team could make the owner's chaseWhat if he made the chase, and went on to win the championship, would JR get the trophy? Oops double post.

I'm predicting alternator or battery failure this time. Please let the #23 find 9 points. (Sorry, but a team 29th in points doesn't deserve to be in sooner than a guy in 17th.)
Calling it now, #38 will return to the garage again to get the #34 in.
Why would the 38 go back behind the wall? The only car further behind him is Blaney, and we're past the point of Blaney being able to make enough laps to pass him.
The 38 is in 38th position, 30 something laps behind the leader (The lap that the 38 & 23 are on as well), him going behind the wall accomplishes literally nothing. They're currently ahead of the #34. If they go behind the wall, the #34 effectivly passes them, practicly gifting him points against the #23.
It's a good tactic, but it feels incredibly cheep IMO.
It would keep him from passing cars like Kenseth. The 38 is in 38th position, 30 something laps behind the leader (The lap that the 38 & 23 are on as well), him going behind the wall accomplishes literally nothing.
