I know but I like kicking back on the couch and watching them on tv, even on FS1 **** coverage. The only race I watch on stream is the 24hr of LeMans.
Plus internet streams look like you're watching a movie instead of a sports broadcast. TV gives you a 60 FPS style feed.

The Corvettes have gone most fasterest and therefore won. The end. (I didn't get to see the full race, but shame that the Viper didn't win...)

I'm considering going to the race this weekend...
Friday
Sunny, with a high near 81. Northwest wind around 10 mph.
Friday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 60. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.
Saturday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.
Sunday
Sunny, with a high near 79.

That's going to hurt the Mazdas...particularly the high speed nature of Road America where the older Prototypes already shine a bit. They're having a hell of a time really getting these balanced (and really it won't matter at the end when they all go away).

Have a great time if you do! As posted the weather looks great.

A couple shots from Lime Rock starting with a crowd pleaser.

Better spacing, still dont see the point in Detroit with the Le Mans test day conflict, 2 rnds of GT cars only 👍

PC class officially dead after 2017 and will not be replaced. LMP3 cars to Imsa Lights.http://sportscar365.com/imsa/lmp3-in-imsa-prototype-lites-replacement-for-2017/

Gotcha. http://www.imsa.com/discover-sportscar-championship/classes

They're basically LMP2 cars. Only 6 pounds heavier but about 40 HP less. Yea, too much power Too close to the Prototype Class, which as 450-600 HP (and why is that range so huge?)

Looking at the difference between GTLM and GTD, I'm starting to like GTD more just for being a spec series. Doesn't hurt that there is more car variety to look at. They're basically GT3 cars so are we getting more next year?

What's happening/not happening next year or ever -

Mercedes: Is trying to get a team in...maybe. Whole thing is weird at this point. Riley is going to ditch their Viper at the end of this seasons so I bet they'll show up at Daytona with an AMG-GT3.

Lexus: Should hopefully be making a debut at Daytona. The program is happening, its just that the cars been plagued by parts issues and them not finding any speed in the car, so that's why its only been in the VLN and in Super GT...fingers crossed.

Acura: Is going to debut their NSX at Datyona and are just debating which team to go with essentially. MSR, Stevenson and Magnus are in the running.

Bentley: Nope.

Aston Martin: Nope. :(

Nissan: Nope.

Cadillac: In our dreams.

Viper: Ded.

McLaren: It's more likely that a Callaway Corvette GT3 will show up.

And that's about it for new entries in 2017. PC being chopped will mean for room for more GTD cars thankfully.

This all for 2018.

But what about the GT4 cars being allowed into GS now? That's gotta bring some cars like the Ginetta right?
