2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand PrixFormula 1

E Austrian TV they said that it is a sensor measuring the groundclearance.

Thanks for the reply! I was really wondering what is was! 👍

Thought it might be something to do with ground clearance but no other cars seem to have the same light.

Man. I can't wait for the Italian GP. There's finally a good chance that a Ferrari can win it again.

"You've got the pace to win this, Lewis."

Sure he does.

But is it even possible to overtake on track?

Even if Mercedes do keep Hamilton out he's got no pace and Vettel would get past eventually

Given the nature of these cars and the pace of the front-runners, I'm not sure I'll believe this is readily possible until I actually see it (or indeed anyone passing for the lead on track).

We saw a Red Bull pass a Williams in a DRS zone earlier in the race (Ricciardo on Massa). I see no reason why a Ferrari can't pass a Mercedes and vice versa if they're close enough.

I hope Merc give Bottas 2nd place back if Hamilton doesn't pass Vettel. He has moved aside twice now.

Lewis would have taken Bottas eventually. Bottas is having a devil of a time with those rear tires.

No need to delay the inevitable.

Hamilton is mad quick. He will be close to Vettel by the end of the race. The question is whether he can do anything at all once he's there.

Yellows gone, 4 laps and 8 second gap. Vettel got this, if his prancing pony stays in one piece.

DOTD? Vettel? Hamilton?

Three laps left. Not enough time to do anything with that speed differential.

Yay, Vettel...?

No way Hamilton gets to Vettel. Sure, he's cutting time down like a hot knife through butter, but he isn't taking near enough. Commentators said he needed 1.5 seconds per lap; hasn't been anywhere near that.

I wouldn't give it to Lewis, because he screwed up his own race.

Yes it has, the times are on the screen, it's been 1.2-1.5.
