He's so quick everywhere it's always fun to see what he can do. He looked to be able to put pressure on Hamilton and that was amazing just to have that possibility.

Boom. Stroll. Sainz.

Now Vettel is in the lead and Hamilton is in fourth.

-

Hard to pin the blame on that one. Stroll was already feeding into the apex when Sainz pulled up alongside him.

Coming from that far back, I don't think Sainz has much to complain about. But one wonders why Stroll was so slow there, coming off the straight, compared to Sainz, who was exiting the pits.

Don't know why people think that was Sainz's fault, looked like more of the blame should be placed on Stroll for diving into the corner from the outside without checking his mirrors.

More trouble for Hamilton. May get a penalty for backing up Ricciardo on the pit entry.

It's marginal, but the blame goes to Sainz because the driver coming out of the pits has to yield.

From the outside? That's the racing line, the pit straight leads far to the inside in that corner thus the mirrors aren't going to show that far out.

yeah I mean, when sainz comes out of the pit everyone should just pull over and let him by

This. End of discussion.

Had to use the bathroom during safety car. How is Vettel in the lead? Slow Merc pit stops?

The track is so wide there, Stroll far left, Sainz far right, that Stroll wouldn't have seen Sainz even if he did check his mirrors.

If any of that blame goes on Stroll, then Hamilton would be completely responsible for the 1st lap here last year...

The driver in front is only liable if the other guy is partly alongside him as they brake into the corner.

Sainz came from a million meters back, rushed into a closing space, and collected Lance... who was so far to the left that he had no chance of seeing Carlos in his mirrors until they collided.

-

Poor Danny... absolutely no grip on those tires.

-

Great restart all around. Lots of action!

Teams fault, drivers fault, it's all the same thing in the wider scheme of things... they love using the word 'we'.
"We, Toro Rosso would like to apologize that our driver Carlos Sainz drove into the side of the Williams, even though the Williams had turned in and claimed the corner. Our bad."
